Ain’t happening. Leonardo likes him, his price tag will scare him away.

After this last 12 months with Milan, almost anything is possible.

Cavani vs Higuain...
Both Seria A proven. Basically same age but Cavani will "last" longer. Higuain better finisher though (but a choker).

IMO Cavani, being hard working professional, would better suit Gattuso's philosophy (i can see Gattuso clashing with lazy Higuain at some point).
He can also play wide left and with another striker which is a huge plus.

And finally, we wont be giving money to Juve which is always a plus...

just out of curiousity, on a scale of 1-10, how dumb do you think Leonardo is?

I only ask, because he knows what Juventus paid for him, likely knows what his ammortized value is...

So he'd have be a real Grade A mongo to think he was getting him for 20-30m

If you think this current Milan will buy and will never consider resale value then you should look a different sport where logic and commons sense are not a requirement.

How much will higuain will be worth in 3 year when Elliot are ready to sell? Close or less than 10m.

If it is less than what they bought him for then why would Elliot pursue such an investment?

And please don’t tell me he’ll guarantee European qualification because it’s more complicated to be one player dependent.

Ah. Ok. So Leonardo is a 10 on your idiot scale because he doesn't know Higuain's age or approximate cost or resale value in 3 yrs..

We should elect you to the board.

If we look at our current squad we will se that we have to many players... (4-3-3 Formation)

GK: G. Donnarumma, Gabrìel, Plizzari, Reina, A. Donnarumma (5 Players for 1 Position)

CB: Romagnoli, Bonucci, Musacchio, Gómez, Zapata, Simic (6 Players for 2 Positions)

LB: Rodríguez, Strinic, Antonelli (3 Players for 1 Position)

RR: Conti, Calabria, Abate (3 Players for 1 Position)

CDM: Biglia, Locatelli, Montolivo (3 Players for 1 Position)

CM: Kessié, Bonaventura, Bertolacci, Mauri, Halilovic? (4-5 Players for 2 Positions)

LW: Calhanoglu, Borini (2 Players for 1 Position)

RW: Suso, Halilovic? (1-2 Players for 1 Position)

CF: Cutrone, Silva, Kalinic, Bacca (4 Players for 1 Position)

So what do you think which players will leave?

So, we have to now exclude Immobile, Higuain, Morata, Falcao et al from our striker search, because i didn't use common sense and realize we will only sign strikers with resale value.

So, the question now, is this... Who do we purchase at striker now in the 10-15m category? And please remember, they'll have to be no older than about 24, and no one can have heard of them, but they gotta explode within the next 3yrs.

Bayern Munich want Inter Milan to increase their bid for Arturo Vidal to €30m, according to Bild. AC Milan are also interested.

Abso-fucking-lutely not. No resale value

The era of Elliott has begun and the American fund owner of Milan has already proved to be a steamroller in the decisions that must be taken. A different style than that to which we are accustomed to the traditional world of football, but in Elliott there is one point that is fundamental: the effectiveness of the choices to reach the achievement of the result. It goes without saying that after requesting the resignation of Fassone in the penultimate meeting in London (while holding the pledge), the new owner of the Milan decided to revoke the role of the former CEO "for just cause" and the reasons expressed in the meeting they were very heavy. There will be a lawsuit between Fassone and Elliott, also because at stake there is the good luck of the Piedmontese manager who would have shot high, but it is also true that the fund of the Singer family could refer to Fassone for those attitudes held by the ad - as text read in the assembly - concerning the contracts that governed his relationship with Milan. It will not be as simple as the investigation by the Milan Prosecutor's Office on Yonghong Li, accused of false accounting, which, if it should be ascertained, could cause problems both to the club and to those who managed it before Elliott.

Today the curtain should also fall on the Milan experience of Massimiliano Mirabelli. For some time I think he is the least guilty of all. Because Mirabelli will have also made his evaluation errors and also some slip at the level of expression, but at work and on what he did for Milan, nothing to say. He will be able to rediscover himself elsewhere, with that sincerity that has always distinguished him.

Now it's up to Leonardo to settle in the helm of command of the Milan sports area. A machine room that has learned to know well when it was the dolphin of Galliani and now will be managed in person. Will have little time to market, both incoming and outgoing and perhaps it would be appropriate to support Mirabelli until the closure of the transfers and then dismissed. But Elliott does not allow half measures (ready to change all the area managers currently in charge) and so Leo will have to act quickly and with a budget that, it is rumored, is about 150 million. But it will also have to act out and if Kalinic has fans in Spain (with Atletico was all defined), also eye to Gigio Donnarumma, which could fall on Chelsea in the event of departure of Courtois to Real Madrid.

The prices of Higuain rise for the role of strikers in attack. The Pipita would be the big blow to reignite the flame of the Milan fan. More than Morata, who in 4-3-3 could struggle to be that rapacious penalty area that the collective milanistic scenario hopes to have in attack. Notwithstanding that Cutrone is not touched and that today is the holder, but things could change in case of arrival of a big that would alternate with Patrick and would allow him to grow further with healthy competition, but ruthless for the role. Last Monday, lastly, from this column I talked about the beginning of Bonucci's stomach ache. Well having witnessed his response to a fan next to me at Milan-Novara ("you do not have to say what I have to do") did nothing but increase the feeling that you want to go. Who knows that a face to face between Leonardo (de Araujo) and Leonardo (Bonucci) can not overturn the cards on the table.

We should stay away from big transfers of players older than 27-28 in general.
The famous last big contract for players who turned 30-31 makes only sense for clubs with an established high-quality starting XI.
For Milan in its current phase it´s just burning money
