Give Age of Wonders 3 a try (at least a look on Youtube). It's Civilization (with more emphasis on battles and less on farming, I've heard) in a high fantasy setting (so you get the usual elves, dwarves etc.). Solid reviews too. I can't personally vouch for it since I haven't played it yet, but I do remember playing the second game, and it was pretty fun.

I've played around an hour or so so far on the second highest difficulty. The game is fun, there is actual health/100 but annihilating troops would give you a bit to replenish.

Since I'm early into the game the ai is a bit forgiving.

Stealth definitely foes not look as shit as it did in the trailer. Choosing the mayhem route is more fun no doubt but it's not easy to stay alive

Naa... there is 5 difficulties so 4/5

The mechanics are gold. Dualshock 4 vibrates well

The story just became very interesting. So far I'm pleased

Ok... the ai is a bit annoying. They definitely aren't the brightest. Taking it slow against the ai makes it a lot easier (sounds obvious).

Dual wielding is fun but it'd get you fucked up there is a leveling system which upgrades as you vary your play style.

grabbed it this morning and played it just over two hours ago

if you've played infamous second son or even tomb raider definitive edition you are going to be unimpressed with the graphics

since it's a third person open world game it can't be judged fairly with the limited game play i had so far but i totally don't feel out of place for being more excited for wolfenstein than watchdogs

wolfenstein is a great game.

i'll continue to play watchdogs. the cars are abnormally strong but feel light as a feather especially with the faster cars. Definitely think I'll get a better impression in the next few days.

^ Playing WD on PC here and I think it looks OK (1080p, high settings, medium filter quality, no frame rate drops steady at around 60fps) but the car's physics are f'd up, sometimes they just ignore collisions that would total a car making it just slide/grind against the obstacle

Looks like a GTA mod without the humour and a couple of fun features that'll wear off in a day or two.

I also bought and played Watch Dogs today. PS4.

Must say I'm positively surprised. The graphics are a bit better than most people make it out to be. Though it is not close to what we saw on the E3 2012 demo. The anti-aliasing are a bit off here and there. The car physics are indeed horrible but that doesn't bother me too much. I just like to cruise around the city, just sightseeing, instead of going through the streets on high speed.

It's a fun game, but there's a lot of room for improvement. I think I will go for that platinum trophy.

My crowning moment of glory (and the funniest by far) in CK2 - playing as the Duke of Austria, under the Holy Roman Empire, played it safe and quiet, just sucking up to the Kaiser and marrying off children (I really do wish there was better birth control than assassinating your wife in this) to families of power within the Empire, til I became heir to the HRE (follows an Elective succession where Dukes vote for who they want to be the next Emperor).

And then out of nowhere, a strong coalition tried to force the Emperor to change the succession law to Primogeniture (oldest male inherits all, basically the best law in-game for the Emperor but definitely not advantageous to vassals) and then it got even weirder, when the Emperor decided he would prefer these traitorous Dukes to rule over his own children and waged war... on the same traitorous dukes.

So I just happily passed the time on fast-forward til the Emperor inevitably bit the dust, making me the strongest man in Europe (from being the weakest vassal) and surrendered the next day to the rebels, thus guaranteeing my dynasty will be uncontested heirs to the fucking HRE.

Conquered Hungary and France, but then these fuckers rebelled when I had a weak heir and I had to grant independence to half the empire, but that is irrelevant.
