I checked on transfermarkt out of curiosity.
The last time we shelled out more than 10 million for a cm/dm was in 2002 for Seedorf. A year prior to that we got Pirlo and Gattuso for 10-15 million each.
That is ridiculous! A whole decade!
I think it's high time to invest some serious money in midfield.

Oscar's best game was vs Croatia, yes. But Vrsaljko did ok, considering he is NOT a left footed player, he is a right fullback. Dont think Vrsaljko is something special NOW, he is a good potential. Fast and good player.

Yes, and Milan at THIS moment can do much coz we really have a lot of fodders and that way Milan can earn at least some money instead of just giving money away for more fodders. That is why I say thank "god" LAdy B is here coz she doesnt want to see her firm being in red coz of the obvious shit jobs done by G. And above all her surname is Berlusconi so... No one can say shit.

Squawka Football News:

"Iturbe, who had a brilliant season in Serie A with Verona, has been linked with a host of top clubs, including Liverpool, but is said to be favouring a move to AC Milan than Juventus, despite the lack of Champions League football."

Goal.com:

The Old Lady have identified the 21-year-old Argentine as their main transfer target and will offer cash plus Fabio Quagliarella in order to beat the Rossoneri to his signature

EXCLUSIVE
By Romeo Agresti

"Juventus are ready to begin their summer recruitment drive and have identified Juan Iturbe as one of their top targets.

The 21-year-old Argentine winger is attracting suitors from all over Serie A after a fine season at Verona, with Roma and Milan also interested in the former Cerro Porteno and Porto youngster.

Real Madrid have long shown an interest in the youth international, who was raised in Paraguay, but the Spanish champions are believed to be focusing their attentions elsewhere this month.

After struggling to break into the Porto side, Iturbe had a largely disappointing time on loan back in his homeland with River Plate last year but was a revelation in Serie A this term, hitting eight goals in 29 starts.

Reigning champions Juve are now hoping to wrap up a deal by tabling an offer of €20 million [£16m] plus Fabio Quagliarella. If Verona don’t accept, Juve will instead offer a deal including defender Federico Peluso.

Officials from the two clubs are set to meet in the coming hours in the hope of thrashing out a deal - but the Old Lady will be faced with competition in the form of AC Milan.

New coach Filippo Inzaghi is keen to add some more creativity to his frontline following the mutual termination of Kaka's contract, with the Brazilian's departure freeing up funds for a big-money transfer."

Black & White & Red All Over:

"The transfer window is officially open. And now things are starting to get really, really interesting.

As they look to fend off competition from rival AC Milan, Juventus director general Beppe Marotta met with Gustavo Mascardi — who has owned Iturbe's rights in the past — and the player's agent to try and reach an agreement to bring the young winger to Turin this summer. And, according to reports coming out of Italy late Tuesday, there has been a major step in the right direction in the process to get Iturbe in bianconero.

Gianluca Di Marzio has the following information regarding what went down on Tuesday:

"Juventus are speeding up the negotiation and could anticipate the competition. They met Mascardi today, who is close to the player and owned the 3% of his rights when he was at Porto, and he gave them his okay. Juventus have agreed to terms with the agents and with Iturbe. He would sign a 5-year contract with €2M annual wages. However, they haven't reach an agreement with Hellas Verona yet.
Iturbe, who was bought outright by Verona for €15 million earlier this summer, has been gaining momentum in the Juventus camp over the past couple of weeks. The major detail, of course, is Juventus negotiating the transfer fee for Iturbe with the Verona management."

why are we panicking about the transfer of one player? we have a lot of talented good players in our team, the problem is that they just dont play well often as a team..
.. our midfield and defence are in more need of repair than our attack
