Is @Pigeon the biggest Pioli fanboy in this forum? I’m very familiar with your game. All these ‘jokes’ and gifs about Pioli’s masterclass 🤔 and then undermining any replacement this forum brings up like De Zerbi.

i'ma keep it 💯 like our beloved padre: he gives me guarantees:o

profiles like de zerbi or conte were never realistic candidates.
both cost (too much) money. one is still an unproved coach at a mid-table club without any pressure.
getting him would mean paying 14m for his salary clause, around 16m in severance for padre on top of de zerbi's salary. all that for a gamble.
the other doesn't make it longer than 2 years, wants big squad investments every summer and always ends up falling out with the club.

milan has never brought in established coaches and that won't change now with such stingy owners, which brings us to the more realistic targets: italiano or abate…..
1684663859154.png

and honestly where would be the difference from our banter era where we replaced the coach every year with another fodder coach?

we have reached the semifinals of the CL and are currently in the league position that reflects our wage bill.
from the owners' point of view, i don't see why pioli should leave, no matter how much the fans disagree with or can't understand his decisions.

Brahim Diaz is a Suso to me. He has good goals and assists stat on paper, but for our overall play, he is awful, and we should move on from him. Getting rid of him is an automatic upgrade to the team. Yesterday's performance was 10/10, but these displays are too few and far between. Showing up on every 4th, 5th game is not enough, consistency is the key to build a succesful team.

Pioli is stagnating and very stubborn. Plus we play unwatchable football and is unwilling to adapt. Every coach has a cycle and they all end eventually.

Besides not being in a CL spot is essentially a failure on his part, considering we won the title last season, it’s too dramatic of a decline. That’s not really a guarantee IMO.

Your point would be fair if we were top 4 but we are not and are relying on FIGC to get into CL next season lol.

Firing him is definitely a risky move but if we are currently stagnating, it might be worth it

Rumours are that Juve are going to get deducted 12 points instead of 15. If that's true, by my maths even if we lose to Juve next weekend all we'll have to do is beat Verona on the final day to guarantee CL as we have better head to head vs Atalanta. Atalanta also have Inter next weekend, which they'll need to get a result from. Overall, seems pretty positive for us.

EDIT: There's also Roma to consider. They have 3 games left. If they win them all, they can finish above us too.

Kind of. Depends on Roma in that case. If they win three, they go 4th.

You're right. I didn't spot they had 3 games left. Let's hope someone takes points off them.
I remember people here making fun of me for saying Roma not beating Bologna last week was huge for us.

you 100% on kamada?

Are there better players, sure... Can we afford them, would they come?

I'm living in reality and I see Kamada as an upgrade on what we have, while allowing us to focus on a FW, RW and CM..but honestly I think we'll only spend big on 2 positions, then grab opportunities on the others... 4 big signing is full posi-force lol

Kamada for free, a striker for 25-35 mil, then a CM or RW for 25/35 mil and Im pretty happy.

All we need is a draw against Juve and win our last home game. We don’t deserve CL next season if we can’t even do that.

Why Tieleman's name keep popping up here? Are we even linked with him?

What stats. I like brahim.
6 goals 6 assists in 32 games. That's average as fuck.

If we draw Juve and then beat Hellas. Were on 68. If Roma win all 3 we'll be tied at 68. Our h2h with Roma is even 2-2, 1-1. Do away goals matter for h2h?

We got +6 GD on them. Have to maintain that.

Nope, we're not...would be good though.

He'll stay in the EPL on wages we can't touch, Arsenal are the name linked most.

italiano is literally doing worse:lol: sitting in 10th place with an actually solid fiorentina team. and firing pioli would be worth it for that? this has banter era all over it.

'stagnating, unwilling to adapt and very stubborn' says who? the same fans who this time last year silenced any criticism with pioli pictures?

yeah we won the scudetto and then management decided to cut costs further instead of investing. we have lower salary costs than roma btw, who are behind us in the table.

i'm fine with firing him if we get a decent replacement but most coaches will/would have the same problems here: losing key players every year without proper replacements and introducing fringe players into the team.

do you think conte would want to train guys like vranckx, adli, pobega? he basically turned down tonali at inter because he preferred vidal.

I believe if head to head results are equal (as in two draws) then overall goal difference decides it. Which means those 5 goals last night could be very important.

He will never be a pirlo or seedorf level player. He is not of that ilk.
He can become a good box to box midfielder around a de Rossi esque level at Max. De Rossi was quite good in fact underrated.
Tona is 23 years old so he is far from his prime.
Pioli , by his limitations &/or Maldini bad squad planing , is wrongly playing him & Ben.

Multiple cases against Juve. The ongoing case is supposed to give judgement in the next week or so. Then the other new cases will be heard in June!
No, that’s a different trial for cooking the books during COVID. They’ll probably get a point deduction or some punishment for that next season as well.
Hopefully that's the case. Difficult to keep up with each of their criminal acts.

Spurs might not redeem Kulusevski, and he’ll have a year left on his deal with Juve… I’ve always liked him and he’d be so much more effective than Messias

Scamacca, Kamada, Kulusevski and Loftus (unless we can get someone better) would be nice

But we still need a DM

30 mil for diaz is resonable considering how much damage cdk did to our budget.

Jokes aside. I hope they gift wrap diaz and throw him off the nearest bridge.

15 mil max for the midget.

Kulusevski has always interested me, I think he's not reached the levels he could have and I think that's not been all his fault.

I just don't want Juve players... But he's an opportunity.

Steven Bergwijn is another name that occasionally pops up, he's having a good season and I think if we were going to get him it should have been last year.

It's interesting as there a LOADS of profiles and names in attack, the DM birth is one that names just don't flow of the tongue for...

do you think conte would want to train guys like vranckx, adli, pobega? he basically turned down tonali at inter because he preferred vidal.

It’s about cycles. I’m not saying Pioli is worse coach than Italiano, my point is that his cycle in Milan has run out and sometimes a new perspective is needed. When you stay too long at a club, you get very comfortable with your core, like in Pioli’s case with Diaz/Messias and he’ll rather rely on them than give the new signings a chance, because he’s more familiar with them. A new coach wouldn’t do that. Hell, Pioli himself when he came on realised that Suso/Bonaventura were a net-negative to our team and got rid of them. But when you’re in the job for a certain period of time, you lack that perspective to do what’s necessary.

It’s about cycles in my opinion. For example Mourinho is literally a comfortably a better coach than Conte yet it made sense to get rid of Mourinho for Conte because Mourinho cycle with Chelsea ran out. Conte brought them the league the next season.

Besides Fiorentina was a pretty terrible team before Italiano came in, brought them 7th last season and is now is in 2 cup finals. He’s underperforming in the league sure but considering Fiorentina’s standards, these 2 finals negates that for them. Overall he’s still doing a solid job for them. For Milan our expectations are higher, no CL doesn’t cut it.

You’re looking at purely from a result perspective which I can understand but my biggest issues with Pioli goes beyond that, it’s our lack of system, style of play etc. Inzaghi was underperforming with Inter but it never felt like system broke like Pioli has right now.

I’m fine with willing to give Pioli another season if we can his kind of players, that suit his system but I still prefer to move on from him.

'stagnating, unwilling to adapt and very stubborn' says who? the same fans who this time last year silenced any criticism with pioli pictures?

Says me. I only speak for myself. Last year I think Pioli did a good job, I disagreed with the criticism but I sort of got their line of thinking. This season I think he didn’t do a good job outside the Spurs/Napoli matches. What other people say I can’t speak for them.

To me this season, Pioli was stubborn.

This is all of course my personal opinion, I get your view and understand your fears. You think it’s a risky move and I can respect that. For me I think it’s worth to take that risk though.

But if Pioli is really gonna remain, I can only hope the management gives him what he really wants to try to recreate that post-lockdown football.

Rafael needs to take penalties. We need him to win ballondor next year.
Needs more than that. Like a team/system that helps him (same for the other players)…
Right now he improves the team but the team doesn’t improve the team.

I used Brahim’s assist to him in The goal vs Napoli 4-0 a lot…well he added another one yesterday… until we get a system to serve him (and other attackers) like that regularly, he will stay at this 2nd tier top player numbers wise.

15mil is a Kvara or an Enzo ffs with a competent scouting.
This team is being built to be self dependent which can never be done without a near perfect scouting network.
If ours cant find a better 15mil player than Diaz then all need to be fired.
Dias need to be sent back to Real, period.
