I have a soft spot for Salad, he's developing, slowly and has heart. Diaz is around that level, and shouldn't cost anything more that 8-10mil, but if that 8-10mil is the difference in signing a better player it's a waste.

Diaz fools so many on here, to me he simply goes missing TOO MANY times for a top team!

He and Messias have absolutely no right to be starters next year!

Salad is a kinda a cult hero, but he should be a rotation player, not a starter against better teams...

And if Kamada came in, Diaz would be breathing on his backside, not the other way round.

I don't necessarily disagree with Diaz not being starter material. I still think he will develop further tho. Weird having such a soft spot for Saele but only venom for Diaz, the latter has shown way more. I believe both will grow, but we can't allow ourselves to not give them proper competition by players that are better.

I have a feeling we won't upgrade RW this summer either CM, Rebic replacement and CF will be so costly I'm not sure there'll be money for any RWs. On top of all the other rotations we're setting ourselves up for. And that will infuriate people and be a little frustrating, but if the new signings work as they should RW won't be as glaring. And Saele might do even better.

But we might send Messias packing and replace him with Zhegrova. Messias was an opportunity with completely empty pockets but age wise and potential wise he doesn't really fit the project at all. Gets shat on way too much tho considering his "status", wage and actual goal contributions.

I think a lot of people imagine a mercato where we buy three new clear starters. I'm not seeing it, I think we will buy players who come in as depth with the potential to become starters.
