Inter aren't strong in the league and overachieved this season as is

I have 3 wishes, 4 if you count Inter losing every remaining match and going into administration:

1) win our remaining matches
2) RedBird gives MMM the funding they need to build a proper squad
3) MMM do their jobs well and provide Pioli with a proper squad

Then, it’s all up to Pioli in a sink or swim year.

1.Milan have to win their remaining games it’s not a choice it is a necessity even if other results go Milan’s way they need to play their own games for themselves and win them. (Always doing all they can to win)

2.RedBird need to give MMM a proper war chest to amend the forced signings and errors they have had to make this season. They deserve it given Milan’s CL run this year and Scudetto last year.

3. Given proper funding MMM can correct the problem areas with the right profiles (they are not exempt of fault and have made errors some forced by a lack of funding, others not)

The success of this is on everyone from the top down Gerry and RedBird, MMM, Pioli (or a new coach- should that come to pass) and the players themselves they have to prove they are worthy of and able to cope with the weight of playing for AC Milan.

First Milan need to win v juve and Verona finishing this season strongly. Everything else after that in the new season has to be a collective goal to make sure of key objectives and the errors or tactical inadequacies of this season are not repeated.

Next year they need to add ️️ to the jersey and go a stage further in the Champions League. The bar has been set it unraveled a bit this season at the worst possible times. But they have had a taste of what can be done when they are in the right frame of mind and how it shouldn’t be done when Milan were the architects of their own downfall.

With an improved squad depth, better tactical awareness from the manager and a stronger more determined mind set from all the players. Who knows what can be achieved.

I think if De Zerbi or Nagelsmann is realistic (don't know the other options), then it is time to move on from Pioli. I understand that it is looking like CL qualification along with getting to the semi-finals but I've lost a lot of trust in him this season.

My mercato would start with Marcus Thuram, Emanuele Valeri, and Kovacic. If we play a 433 then Loftus Cheek being added would be great for the depth
Sportiello is potentially already secured for backup GK
I think Jonathan Bamba could be a solid FREE option to rotate in on the wings
Samuel Chukwueze will be on the last year of his contract and could be nice at RW. Ludovic Blas can take Messias and Brahim's places in the squad. Of course there is the possibility of trying CDK at RW as well
Cher Ndour is another free player and a young Italian mid

Our max possible points tally this season would be 70 points.
In 2014-15, it would have given us 2nd, 4th in 2016, 5th in 2017, 5th in 2018, 3rd in 2019, 5th in 2020, 6th in 2021 and 4th last year. So our potential points tally met top 4 criteria only 50% of the time in last 8 seasons.
But squad strengthwise we are arguably 3rd best team in the league this season - way better than Lazio, Atalanta and Roma, on par with Juve and slightly below Inter and Napoli.
Clearly Pioli failed.
But Gerry and MMM also failed because we were better than Napoli and on par with Inter last year - it is on them that we failed to compete for the title.
We should have a team that can get 80 points every season and CL quarters (exceptions can be made if we get a very bad R16 draw, critical referee decisions, injury crisis etc.) Anything else should be considered a failure.

Tbf Vlahovic is white himself and he got triggered by the racial abuse he got from Atalanta fans so I think if fans are more creative, they can get under Theo’s skin. Napoli fans tried to do it and with Leao as well mind you, but both of them are quite thick skinned and carried on as normal.

Cristiano Ronaldo use to get abused by Atletico fans by fans telling him he’s ‘Portuguese piece of sh*t’ but he didn’t get triggered by it. Son got racially abused by a Crystal Palace fan for being an Asian etc, it can happen to white players too.

The thing is that for white players, the type of chant and abuse are different and not clear cut while for black players it’s either calling them ‘m*nkey’ or doing m*nkey sounds, hence it’s more common as it’s ‘easier’ to abuse them based on that.

With that said, every form of racial abuse is terrible and football should work to eradicate it. Whether it’s Vinicius/Lukaku racial abuse, or Vlahovic or Son Heung Min, all of these shouldn’t be happening.

Vinicius is going all out on social media to raise awareness, I respect this player a lot. What he’s doing is admirable. Enough is enough. Ignoring it might help his performances but it will not eradicate the problem
