Dude I’m with you lol I don’t really want him either

It feels like some folk are suffering trauma from Nam and thinking this kid is going to save us... As I say, I'm not dissing the kid as a human, but we can all see what his ceiling is... Bench player!

10mil tops if we've got a 100mil budget. Otherwise we need to box clever, like say a Japanese lad for free allowing us to spend money on a striker and RW or DM perhaps.

Isn't this the case with everyone? Why do you think this for him specifically?

On the positive side, he gives and depth on the field because he has some speed.

But we need solutions against the low block. For me, that means clean technique and tight ball control. I don't see that.

Besides, Lens' style of play is very different after all. Still, Pioli would appreciate his defensive work.

For me, he is an expensive junior messias…

I don’t agree, I think you downplay what epl teams can convince themselves of.

I agree that we will look at him under 20 and I’d be ok with that. You’re right he shouldn’t be a key player but can be useful. But there are definitely English teams that would look at him. He has experience learning at City, was wanted by Madrid, and now has 3 seasons at Milan with a title win and CL semi run in there.

We as Milan fans focus on what frustrates us about him but he does have some good qualities and I think a team would pay 25 or even 30 tbh on him.
You're right, but I think the will of Brahim to stay at Milan and the strong institutional relationship between Milan and Real could be the deciding factor in bringing the price down.

Emmanuel Gyasi, captain of Spezia, spoke to calciomercato.com about Daniel Maldini:

“Maldini impresses me more in training, he has important shots. He doesn't realize how strong he is and how much physical strength he has.”
Daniel has good skills and score beautiful goals but he needs to play with more fire inside, he needs to be more competitive

That's one way to get a transfer to Milan

I think Leao also said something similar

Honestly, if he's renewed with Madrid why not just negotiate another loan.

Difficult to give him the definitive nod after last season even for his biggest fans

What's not making sense? The RW market.

Even if we got the proper RW. Ludovic Blas is the answer, btw. We still need attacking depth.

Brahim at 20m doesn't offend me, Lozano was like 45m and Correa was 35m. If our budget is 50m, I get the trepidation, but I still think the fact that your response is Baldanzi and Ziyech makes me not take your complaints seriously.
In that case am gonna have to take my complaints elsewhere.

Maybe a season in Ibiza with his pops would do him some good lol...

If we get it down to around this, then maybe it can be considered a "good deal" if we actually strengthen other areas of the squad.

The only real note of interest in the Openda highlight vids is the lung-busting runs of big Seko...

It’s possible. His will is the only way he stays, and he clearly wants to be here

Dude..
Then you can't blame Pioli for the derby defeats.
Carlo has to take the blame for Deportivo and PSV (we scraped through at the end). We got outplayed in those games despite having an infinitely better team.
I don't blame him for Istanbul though - that was pure bad luck with the Sheva and Tomasson misses.
Dudek with those two miracle saves on Sheva in extra time was just ridiculous

I'm honestly traumatized from seeing Diaz and Messias on the pitch together with Giroud... Like I twitch when I see the team sheets lol.

We need better in those positions, it's weird that some folk are so happy to settle, even justify why they think Diaz is a good signing.

Let's aim HIGHER no?

So why aren't Real pushing him to these mid-table clubs and making the profit themselves?

Im finding it interesting that so many are justifying ways to sign a kid that for me doesn't have that high a ceiling, and is physically not great shall we say.

He's got heart for sure, but he is a very limited player, why are so many people so invested in us picking him up?

Is he a CAM, no, is a he a winger? SS? What is he, do we need him or are we just looking at an easy option?

He does seem like a good kid, and Messias, what a great story, I'm genuinely happy for him, what memories he has, and a millionaire from being a delivery driver, what 5 years ago?

But are they what we need to move forward? Are they the quality we're desperately needing?

They aren't, let's be honest...let's move on.
Because you are an idiot. .
Why have two shit RW when you can have three ?
Think damnit.

I mean, if we got limited funds, it's either gamble on a guy with SOME positives vs. risking a lot of unknowns for a new guy.

What if we get another CdK?

The opening comment really hurt bro... Then you redeemed yourself x

Look I love mediocrity as much as the next banter era survivor, but I think the therapy I've been going to, and the self help books are beginning to work and think we can do better 💪

Milan transfer market, Openda has accepted the transfer to the Rossoneri: first contacts with Lille for the forward

As reported by calciomercato.com , there has been an important turning point regarding the Milan transfer market . Openda, the Lens striker and real passion for Massara , would have given the go-ahead for the transfer to the Rossoneri, remaining favorably impressed by the dialogues with the Diavolo management.

Maldini has already had the first contacts with Lens by memorizing the request of the French club: to sell the striker, a figure just under 40 million euros is needed. Milan are convinced they can lower the figure to around 25 million. Works in progress.
Former teammate of CDK, I think they also used to play together in the youth of Club Brugge.
That year (19/20), Club Brugge also had Okereke who now plays for Cremonese and Amrabat who now plays for Fiorentina.
CDK will feel at home very soon.

Management can't afford to get sentimental over Diaz. 15m+ bonuses or return him to Real. There's no market above 20m currently for the player.

Pioli clearly is fond of Brahim and thinks he's capable of moments to change games. I am okay with that assessment and think he could have his uses as a super-sub.

I think we hit our ceiling in terms of revenue, and probably hit our floor in terms of cost reduction. If not now then we’re just in stasis waiting for the stadium.
We are not even close to hitting our revenue ceiling. The brand increase that will result from appearing in the Champions League continuously alone will result in better sponsorship deals. Just the pittance that we are paid by Puma and Fly Emirates alone should increase by 50M in the coming years.

I think we get to 400M ARR before we build a stadium, which still appears further away than ever. We may need to sell occasionally to make up for the lack of stadium revenue.

He's not bad. At 22m? Honestly, it really depends on what our budget is. If we are in for another 50m market, which would be insulting, then I can see myself sharpening my pitchfork.

If we had a 100m budget, then 20m doesn't set me off. He's settled in the squad, we know he can perform... sometimes. And he's improving, perhaps he takes another big jump and adds some more creatine to his shakes while training with the other former Soviet lower weight wrestlers. There is a lot of value in knowing what a player can do versus the potential loot box world of transfers.

But, even then, if I was in charge, and I'm not joking, I would rather get Blas at like 12m and Orsolini at 12m as well. Blas can play several positions, including CAM, while Orsolini is at the same level as Politano. They're both in the last year of their contracts, while Blas has been a captain for his team.

I have no idea what budget we have, how Redbird are going to react, etc. So I guess I have no reference point as to what my expectations should be.
