In the end all this chaos will be forgiven (by fans and by Maldini himself) if
- Furlani and co able to retain keyplayer
- followed by removing deadwoods and replace by far better players a.k.a great mercato
- Pioli (if they decided to keep him) able to use new players properly, and get Scudetto and at least pass through UCL Group stage
- Cardinale get start building New stadium (real start construction not Just lobying here and there)

What are you talking about? Only Adli and Mike reacted poorly

Leao said he loves Madlini and loves the club, he reacted maturely. Most other players are simply showing support there is no revolt

Maybe the collection of players shouldn't need grown-ups to hold them together? Maybe it is part of the reason why they crumble any time there is pressure and need their hands held
Lol what are you talking about? Leao has been posting several cryptic messages since Maldini left and there are multiple reports of player + staff unrest at the club which is perfectly understandable (see below).

Like I said before, Maldini was a 'father figure' to many of these youngsters who only joined the club because of him in the first place. It's a huge loss on a personal level and many will be especially outraged since he achieved his targets for the season i.e. CL qualification and CL semis.

Me whenever I read the word "budget" in RnB:

You're right. Furlani said: "Whenever someone asks me about the budget, I'm going to trim it by 20M, just to piss off some random jerks on the internet."

20 million plus sales = £350mil plus Mercato...

Mike, Leao, Theo and Tonali are worth over £300 mil to the EPL

Now that the fallout dust starts to settle. We simply have two options as fans, either exit left here or buckle up and brace for the next drama-filled chapter to commence.

Fortified ambition led by King Giorgio. He may stand taller than few men but in business, he overshadows many. In Moncada, we already know he's a valuable asset to the club. Let's see where they take us in unification with Pioli.
Option 3 we overthrow the false king georgayo, pawn of the great usurper Gerry

I don’t really like this take. So many other fans were jealous of how we gave a farewell tribute to Ibrahimovic. What made Maldini’s crop of players is that we felt like a family, Tonali mentioned that.

Why would we want to ruin that? If having a good environment and a close knit-group where you can actually be motivated perform?

Also do you agree with the way Maldini was sacked? Treating our legend like that was humiliation. Their official statement was so cold and corporate. I hate it.

The human element should always remain
Legends are 1% of players.
They are the exception not the rule.
You can have a professional approach & still honor your legends.

Maldini went all in last season & only because he is a club legend RB caved in so he has his pass.
Following that by his ever worst mercato meant he lost the bet & RB cant put up with his approach anymore.
Sacking him asap is the best approach for the club.

Yes it was quite honorable how they kicked him out of the club. These men have no honor. They are businessman and would sell you too if you had value to them. They care not of the fans, not of family.

AC Milan have a terrible 22/23 summer and non-exist winter mercato: Boo, what a terrible job. Maldini isn't fit for the job. Wasted 35m on CDK, even if Pioli is partly liable, but also gave useless Origi high wages and did nothing useful but Thiaw.

AC Milan fire Maldini for wanting more power and money after said value, while not aligning with the direction of the owners: Boo, what terrible owners. Maldini did a great job, look what good he did for the club (which I agree with) and they fired him for it. We should have given him more money and power, he surely won't mess up like last year.

RnB, never change :proud:

Football should be treated like a business not family.
A family on the other hand is The family so brothers are not for sale.
You think Sheva & Kaka felt its a family with Milan ?

sports shouldnt be a business. sports its about performance and competing to be the best, not about making money for someone...

and definetely kaka did,

wait wait wait, were are the 100+ millions that was supposed to be maldini's budget for this window, dont tell now it is down to 20...

Where have you been...

20 million plus sales, all because Maldini fucked Gerry's mum, daughter and sister but didn't cum in any of them. So they weren't able to use his seed to better the Cardinale gene pool...

i legitimately don't know how ppl can sit and cry about what they THINK the upcoming market will be, when the alternative was already clear, in that it was diaz, RLC and arnautovic.
Tbf it wasn't Diaz, as he was long gone, and the rest were only rumors.

I think what is driving people crazy is the uncertainty that this brings.
One year from now, we could be laughing at this situation, for wanting to keep Maldini and being satisfied with the Origis, Messias and Arnautovics of Calcio.
But we could also be crying over how this new management has done fuck all to take us to the next level.

Maldini wants to be Top Boss, in a modern world where decentralization is the key to success.
For a club to be successful in the long run, no one man can, nor should have that much power, as you're bound to create a monster (Galliani) in the future.

There is no point in crying over spilled milk and the best we can do is to support this decision the best we can for the good of Milan.

brk - maintenance of overall squad cost with maybe 10% increase if we're lucky

This means:

View attachment 20533

All those players in orange are expected to leave. Let's assume conservatively that we get 10m capital gain from the sales. I'm assuming Adli on loan, all expiring loans don't get redeemed, and we sell Messias, Origi, Rebic and FBT.

That would mean we drop our total squad cost from 129m to 90m. That's a 40m reduction. We would need to replace the outgoing players with at least a backup LB, 2 CM, an AM, a LW backup, and a CF. That's 6 new players.

LB backup 8m cost, 1m gross
RLC 15m cost, 5m gross
CM 15m cost, 3m gross
Kamada 0 cost, 3m gross
LW backup 20m cost, 3m gross
CF 45m cost, 4m gross
--

In order for us to simply maintain our existing squad costs we would have a lot or room to maneuver. That list I just made up adds exactly 40m to our squad cost, assuming they're all on 5 year deals. If we go into another season where we reduce our squad costs again... after 4 straight years of MASSIVE cuts every season.... after getting 350m+ in revenue and getting a profit....

...I might just head over to casa milan with a flamethrower.

Believe me, you're putting way more thoughts and substance into your 40M calculation than the guys from La Republica and Calciomercato.com throwing out their random numbers all over the internet. And we don't even know yet if Adli, Messias, FBT or Origi are leaivng or loaned or sold. That's just a whole lot of overthinking you're doing here brother. :)

Before anyone even dared to think Redbird was going to fire Maldini, the guys from Gazetta "knew" we'd have a 80M mercato. Longo on the otherhand "knew" we'd have a 50M mercato. And he already "knew" last year so it's probably true am I right @Master Smurf ? But guess what? Ragnarok happened, no one knew it was going to happen and yet it happened. And now - all of a sudden - the very same people who "knew" about our budget but didn't know about Ragnarok suddenly "know" about the new budget!?

Do I really have to lay it down more clearly!?

Pioli is an extremely lucky man-that's for sure, I'm really not sure how he's managed it. I'm pretty certain the wheels will come off though a few months into the new season
Pioli acts like a nice guy, hugs his players, seems loyal, but in reality he's the re-incarnation of Macchiavelli. A genius, really, who divides and conquers.

[https://abs-0] #CorSera: Pioli has proven to be excellent in the development of young players. Cardinale appreciates his style, which is never excessive and avoids controversy. He also values Pioli's ability to find solutions in difficult moments instead of adding more problems.

Is this propaganda or truth?

Ia hard to accept the narative that Pioli is good let alone excellent with youngster..
- Kalulu, he eventually give him chance only after another CB is injured, turnout Kalulu is beast in 2021/2022
- Thiaw, same story with Kalulu in 2022/2023
- Adli, never get chances
- Vranck, get less chances than pobega
- Saele, get less chance than Messias
The only young player get enough chances is CDK, but, according to many of us, is deployed in wrong position, resulted in bad performance
I’ve gone both ways on this. But guys like Theo, Leao, Tonali, Kalulu, Diaz have all improved a lot under Pioli

Honestly I think Adli was used as a scapegoat to throw Paolo under the bus - especially as Paolo was scheming to replace him.

I feel like there was an undercurrent of tension between Pioli and Maldini that was kept under wraps throughout the season
