The split between Paolo Maldini and AC Milan has changed some of the plans that were in place for the summer transfer window, a report claims.

According to a report from La Repubblica (via MilanNews), the sacking of Maldini and sporting director Ricky Massara has derailed the plans for the summer window that the duo had been working on for the last few weeks.

While the arrival of Daichi Kamada on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt does not seem at risk because the new management approve of the operation too, there are three targets over whom negotiations will now stop.

Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi, Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic were all being spoken about by Maldini and Massara, but are not targets any more.

Brahim Diaz will return to Real and the ‘integrated working group’ that will take over Maldini’s responsibilities will have to make the transfer market with a budget of €35m plus the proceeds from sales.

By the time the management team finishes settling down the transfer market will be technically over. And we will end up bringing in some random last minute purchase for 35m who will have zero pre-season physical and technical preparation with the team.

Whoever gets to replace Maldini and Massara will be undergoing A LITERAL CRUCIBLE for years.

Couldn’t be more wrong. They are not gonna take a lot of time settling in as they have been in the club for a while already - moncada + Pioli mostly ..

They are 100% not doing anything till the end and panic buying a guy for 35mil. That’s what M+M did which is why we had 0 decent subs all season.

I think what’s gonna happen is they gonna selll a couple of the big guys like tomori + maignan /Theo and then reinvest in a bunch of talented guys with a more well rounded squad with depth.

Last year's budget was 35 mil net with sales including Hauge for 12-14 mil and Duarte for 2 mil. And last year's revenue was higher than that of the previous year when Milan spent around 80 mil on Tomori, Tonali, Maigan, Messias, Adli, Lazetic......
