Saw rumors earlier for Rabiot and Guendozi. Not sure if its just media throwing names but profile wise they make much more sense

I really can't see or understand what the plan is if we are going for those players. I like both of those names but is that what we really need? Unless Musah goes

Except he is extorting us by saying that he wants to stay there even if they are not agree with the price . He is helping them . Thus meaning since like any club they have a certain amount for that deal , or we take a high fee and he receive lower salary , or high salary with low fee . Basically he is forcing us to reduce the fee , so he can stay there with high salary . He does not want to come back . We can not send him to another team if he does not want to . Only thing is keeping him like Origi . I hope they will find some solution .
i would rather keep him like origi.

Someone here was talking about this guy 1-2 years ago.
Hopefully he is not that good as he was described by our fellow forum member :D

He’s a tank. Can run a lot, effective in his play. Not flashy but gets the job done. If he gets support form coach more likly he’ll tur out well then flop

Sam, bro, you need to stop saying it's an amazing bench.
Nobody said that.

I just said it's a much improved bench compared to what we had in 22/23. It's a bench that at least allowed us to rotate our players without thinking every new sub that comes on was 100% going to be a disaster and points dropped (which it was in 22-23).

Do you even remember our 22/23 bench?
Here's a Reminder:

I'm using "amazing" with sarcasm.

You said our bench was much improved, and I disagree with that. The last two years with Tonali our squad and bench produced 1st and 4th place finishes. This current squad, which is over 70% made up of players bought by the current regime, has finished 2nd and 8th.

Your only metric for "bench quality" is the "goals off the bench" metric which you and I both admit is skewed because players can score from the bench who are starters.

I do remember our 22/23 bench, where are Messias and Saelmaekers on that list, by the way? A player like Krunic would be really useful these days, no? Adli has shown that he could have helped us in 22/23, did Pioli use him? No, he didn't. Thiaw isn't a useful player? The only reason Dest is on there is because Florenzi and Calabria both got injured--which leads me to other issue: we constantly had injury crises under Pioli and did nothing to improve them, that also is a factor, no?

Messias has out-performed Chuk, despite costing a fraction of what he did. I'd say that Saelmaekers has outperformed Okafor, despite costing a fraction of his cost. I'd say that Adli has outperformed Musah despite costing less than half of what Musah cost. Thiaw cost less than Pavlovic. Florenzi cost less than Emerson, and on and on.

I love you bro, but I'm sorry, I strongly disagree with you.

Allegri is already starting to piss off people. He does not want Ricci he must be too elegant for his shit football.

He will bring Rabiot Rabiot the slowest left winger in Europe.

He will put on the bench all the technical players and build his defensive shit football some will rejoice here with 1-0 victories with a goal from the Tibia. :fp:

Why do I feel like we're the only team who loves to accede to the "will of the player"?

Sheva, Kaka, Kessie, Romagnoli, and now Tiji.

Can we not just put our foot down for once and say "Fuck you, you're staying"?
Devils advocate- we follow Milan, so are way more aware of situations around players leaving than we are with other clubs, so it will always seem like we do certain things more just because of the additional attention we pay to the club

Pellegati:

However, I am crazy about the Tare-Allegri duo and I can stomach this choice, which was made before their arrival. I trust Allegri and Tare, we started off well with Modric. Milan must fill some gaps, starting with the leadership, and I think someone like Modric is ideal. Maignan? The alternative is Svilar, who I am told is not very keen on staying in Rome.

Ricci doesn't drive Allegri crazy, watch out for Mitrovic up front, watch out for Leoni, a Parma defender who is liked. And he also wants a couple of midfielders. Watch out for Rabiot. Allegri likes Saelemaekers and he should stay. He's the ideal player for all coaches".

maybe we will get rabiot, Gazetta also says he's part of our plans.
Big NO to Mitrovic 😂
Mitrovic is a solid player. Well was before. Donno since he went to Al something

Its funny, I've been on board for Ricci for a year now but then when I heard about Rovella and watched him, I leaned towards him more. Especially if he's got great defensive stats, like someone mentioned. So if Rovella is just as good defensively, it's obvious he's a lot better technically. But does he suit playing next to Fofana and Modric as much as Ricci?

We ended up with too many that were alike last summer. RLC, Musah, Pobega and Fofana. Limited players who like to drive with the ball and not much else. (Fofana can do more than that tbf)... So I hope we don't end up stocking on up the same sort of midfielder again. (Adli, Bennacer,Modric, Rovella, Caviglia)

Surely we want him over Ricci?

I know I’m a Leao hater (mostly because of the lack of effort vs the potential he actually has) ..

but if we gonna keep him .. atleast get us a good LB who can defend and will keep a good position to not get caught out when teams attack from that side..

Atleast get a proper DM with bundles of energy who can compensate us being one man short when we don’t have the ball ..

I would still 100% sell Leao but if we gonna keep him atleast set up the team in a way to compensate for his ******edness and unleash his few but lethal atrengths.

Really hope Allegri can be the one to whip him out of manchild mode and get him working hard to improve ..

Wonder who the ricci alternative is. Surely we have someone lined up
Surely :proud:
The truth is he was above the limit of 20m for a transfer per player that we have. It was a miracle that they gave more for Gimenez and when he didn't have immediate effect, we are not gonna do the same mistake again ;> it's so much more fun to go for random players that have good stats in Football manager.. my bad not FM, but in Moncada's very intricate system.
Obviously we will gamble on another 15-20m player who we will hope to turn good and sell him in 2 years, so the books look pretty in green :star::star:

Then we agree to disagree mate.

This season was a combination of the bench being good, but not good enough to compensate for a shitty starting XI.

Last year our starters were performing whilst the bench was as well.

The year before that (with Tonali here), the starting XI performed, but we had 0 contributions from the bench, which also did not allow us to rotate properly and forced Pioli to chose just 1 competition to play in (he picked UCL).

Regardless of Pioli's misuse of Adli, the bench was ass in 22/23 and needed to be revamped, Rebic played 2 good games that season, CDK gave us 1 assist all year, the other players did not contribute to resting our starters or effectively rotating. We constantly dropped points when those players were subbed on, many due to mistakes from those very players.

And in the end money from the Tonali sale was indeed used to improve that bench.

Sheva, Kaka, Kessie, Romagnoli, and now Tiji.

Sheva : Pussywhipped by his wife and got into a fight with Carlo iirc, we got 30 million and he was finished at Chelsea anyway
Kaka : Pretty sure we were in big trouble financially because Galliani had no idea how to run a club, Kaka didn’t want to leave he was forced out but got to choose where to go and picked Real. We got 65m and then he got injured big time at Real
Kessie : Who the fuck cares? I am so sick of zoomers overrating this guy. Piss the fuck off.
Romagnoli : Insane revisionism. This guy had many bad seasons and in the end ended at fucking Lazio because he never lived up to his promise.
Tiji: Overrated goal poacher, cannot make a through ball to save his life. He’s clearly being forced out because he’s not good enough and Pep is dumb enough to rate him and give us 70m.

Surprised you didn’t mention Donnarumma
Now there’s a WC player that quite clearly left because the club was in shambles with no real project(also because of Raiola greed)

It’s also annoying how people don’t talk about the real issues with Kaka and Sheva, which was the club never replacing them with equivalent world class players in those positions
When Sheva left we got fucking Ricardo Oliveira
When Kaka left we got fucking nobody because ’’Ronaldinho was enough siamo posto cosi’’
19-20 year old Pato was entrusted to carry the attack as a striker by himself(and even then MilanLab ruined him) with grandpa Pippo, Borriello and guys who flopped like Huntelaar, until we got Ibra and Robinho years later

I don’t give a fuck about players leaving, I give a fuck about the club never replacing them with appropriate quality players
God knows Galliani kept Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf, Nesta, Inzaghi, Ambrosini forever
So if Tiji leaves and Modric comes then I am a happy camper because we got a world class player and sold an average one

The fact that you don't even comprehend my messages just proves my point.
Ret@ard
Man you want to prove that you are above me in term of smartness, putting on emphasis a concurrence, you're pathetic, just beacause I don't hold Tiji in high regard, you can't force me to put him among the best MC, being smart mean to you approving the fact that Reijnders is a beast, no dude, you can have your opinion on each player by deploying your arguments, at least I don't hit out at someone who treat my favorite calciatori as fodder, you're free.... 🆓

Lol, we had like 4 technical players and just sold 1 of them... really don't think there is much risk of this one
