Then howcome its just us constantly missing out on targets just because of agent commisions?

Because they’re American and they refuse to bend. The ones that come to mind are probably Kaio Jorge, maybe Botman? Zirkzee United agreed to pay over the clause and in one lump sum I believe? Most of them we’ve actually dodged bullets but I agree that this ownership is stubborn.

My larger issue is with the target, do they actually believe he will replace Theo or was he intended to be a young backup with margins for growth?

Just go for Gutierrez now

Far better player, $25M tag and he had recent ankle surgery so will only be available at the end of August. However, this is the kind of player we should be looking at to replace Theo.

Just hope now Jashari gets done! Apart from that it seems very quiet on the market front even with player sales

On Gutierrez:

Gutierrez’s setback

This must be the case with Gutierrez, who, as Diario AS reports, has recently undergone surgery to file down a bone in his ankle. It is an issue which he has struggled with since January, and due to him not stopping playing, the problem worsened.

So, on Thursday, he had surgery to fix the issue, or at least attempt to. As a result, he will be sidelined for at least six weeks taking us near the end of August. Milan and Napoli are considering moves for the Spaniard, however, whether they will be keen to wait so long remains to be seen.

So Who’s next’s?

Clubs reject hundreds of renewal requests from "undesirable" fans, introduce a ban on the sale of season tickets in the stands, and prepare to activate facial recognition at San Siro.

Following the Doppia Curva investigation conducted by Milan's Anti-Mafia District Directorate, which revealed criminal infiltration into the extreme fringes of organized Inter and AC Milan fandom, a coordinated response has been launched involving the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Police Headquarters, and the two main Milanese clubs. As reported by the Milan edition of Corriere della Sera , a real management shift is underway in the ticket and season ticket sales policy for the 2025/26 season.

Inter and AC Milan have rejected numerous requests to renew season tickets for the historic popular sectors—the second green ring and the second blue ring—excluding hundreds of fans deemed "undesirable." The selection was based on the ethical codes subscribed to by the clubs and included individuals who had previously been banned from playing or involved in incidents of violence or disorder, even at the administrative level.

The measures represent a concrete extension of the policy announced in the aftermath of the operation by the Milan DDA, coordinated by prosecutor Paolo Storari, which dismantled a criminal system rooted in the street fighting, with recent sentences of up to ten years for some of its protagonists. The stated objective of the Prosecutor's Office, led by Marcello Viola, and the Police Headquarters, with Bruno Megale at the forefront, is to prevent any resurgence of that system.

Operationally, in addition to removing the "Curva Nord" and "Curva Sud" logos and halting the display of group banners, clubs have introduced new restrictions that directly affect the season ticket transfer mechanism: for the 2025/26 season, season ticket holders in the Curva will no longer be able to give up their seats to others. The ban applies completely to the second green ring (Inter) and second blue ring (Milan), and is accompanied by additional measures in other areas: for example, at the Nerazzurri, a surcharge has been introduced for the occasional transfer of tickets, which varies based on the season ticket category.

These developments fit within the context outlined by the investigation documents, and in particular by the statements of Andrea Beretta, a collaborator with justice. Beretta, a former Curva Nord leader implicated in the murder of Vittorio Boiocchi and the murder of Antonio Bellocco, a member of the 'Ndrangheta. Beretta detailed the systems used to monetize ticket control, including the use of hundreds of passes registered to front men and the "double-entry" system, where multiple people with the same ticket were allowed in, often with the complicity of stewards.

Completing the package of measures is the launch of the new security plan for the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium: facial recognition cameras will be activated at the turnstiles by the start of the championship. The system is already ready, awaiting final authorizations from the Italian Data Protection Authority. The goal, as also emerged during discussions with the Ministry of the Interior, is to make San Siro a model that can be replicated at other Italian stadiums. ... "

You said this management is moving at snails pace which is gonna result in loosing targets.
I asked what target did they loose?!
We wanted Modric, Ricci & Jashari & we already got two of them with the third close.
You gave me future targets that are still there IF we were indeed after them.
So until our targets or a bunch of them are lost, then the "moving at snails pace" is pulled out of your ass.

What are you talking about?!
Deals are nothing until they ink it.
Thiaw, MM, Morata are still here & we wanted them out so imagine if we get their replacements already only for them to stay.
Be sure the nag will be oh we lost all leverage because we are desperate to sell.

Management thinks the same way as you, no wonder we finished 8th
