Put your Serie A knowledge to the test by guessing match results and team performances across both domestic and international competitions. A beloved R&B Forums tradition since 2002, SAPL is open to all members. What are you waiting for?
The Prize?
The SAPL champion earns a full year of bragging rights, their username in prestigious green lettering, and a place in the legendary R&B SAPL Hall of Fame.[/USER].
How to play?
1. Game Threads:
1.1 For each round, the moderator will open a game thread where you can submit your predictions.
1.2 Game threads are usually posted 5–14 days before the round starts.
1.3 If no thread is posted at least 5 days (120 hours) before kick-off, any SAPL player may create one.
1.4 Threads are numbered in sequence for convenience. (e.g., #1 → #2 → #2.5)
1.5 One thread is created for every league (Serie A) round.
1.6 A separate Season Bets thread is posted at the start of the season.
1.7 Unlocked thread = Active; you can still place predictions.
1.8 Locked thread = Inactive; the games have already been played.
2. Predictions:
2.1 Inside the game thread, copy and paste the list and insert your predicted results.
2.2 Do not change the order or format of the list.
2.3 Submit your predictions before the first fixture of the round kicks off.
2.4 You may still post after the round has started, but any matches already underway or finished will not be counted.
2.6 Game threads are posted days in advance; note that match dates or kick-off times may change.
2.7 If you edit your post after the first match has kicked off, any matches already in progress at the time of your edit will not be counted.
2.8 If you post two predictions, only the second will be accepted—the first will be deleted.
2.9 If a game is postponed to a much later date, a new thread will be created, and your original prediction will no longer count.
2.10 If a game is postponed only for a short period, no new thread will be made, and your original prediction will still stand.
2.11 The result will be determined at the end of normal match play. (= 90min)
3. Point System:
3.1 Correct score = 3 points. (e.g., prediction: 2-0, result 2-0).
3.2 Correct outcome + correct goal difference = 2 points. (e.g., prediction: 2-0, result 3-1)
3.3 Correct outcome = 1 point. (e.g., prediction: 2-0, result 2-1)
3.4 Incorrect = 0 points. (e.g., prediction: 2-0, result 2-2)
3.5 Both your total points and your total correct scores (CS) will be cumulated.
3.6 In case of a tie in total points the total CS will be the tiebreaker.
3.7 In case of a tie in total points and total CS it is considered a tie.
