Udinese beat Barca and Nottingham Forest in those mini 45 minute matches like the one Milan would play in with Inter, Juve, etc.

I disagree. If they had a great preseason they would’ve said the roster is fine as it is. Better to see the weaknesses now and move on from players that don’t fit.
Makes sense but I think last 2.5 years is enough to come to this conclusion by any normal person.

3-0. Oof.

Is it too soon to say that we’re screwed six ways to Sunday?
Let's call it five. You never know what can happen on a Thursday night :o

Anyone really watched Amorimball at MU?

Saw Hajjball's analysis on the Chelsea game and his remarks about our midfield coverage and positioning as well as lack of CBs closing up the midfield space when we are in the opposition half rather worries me.
Could this be a similar situation and problem at MU?

I honestly think you guys over reacted on Amorim. I would still give him chance.

I’ve seen Max’s & Conceicao’s Milan, it was soo boring. Last night, despite many players that’s not fitting in, i can see a positive dynamics & progressive plays.

My statement over last night friendly is clear, Alonso outclassed Amorim. When he had Cole Palmer in field, Chelsea is a scary team. Give him the ball, then they become organized. Their defense also tight, their midfield pressed greatly up there.

It’s safe to say that what we needed the most to level up is LWB, RWB, and CBs. If we’re going to work with Amorim. We need more dynamism from the side while still being safe from counter.

I can see Milan having a fun games in Serie A with Amorim’s philosophy. Many small teams with a really low block defense will have a hard time to track the ball. It’ll be really physical AND a lot of freekicks might be happening.

But I might be worried a lot about counters.
Our sides is not fast enough to track back. But if Leao can do the things that he did last night in every games, it can be really great for us.

Watched Hajjball for the first time.

Immediately blocked his videos after hearing him talk.

He mentioned

1) jhashari was wicked ROFL. He was outstanding on the pitch lmao. Yeaaaaaaaa no.
2) he believes RLC will
Play a rule under Amorim and will flourish LOL
3) epl is the most physical league and that it has more physical players than Serie a ROFL lmao. Go check the height and weight average fuckwit. More runners Doesn’t mean more physical. Players are tougher and stronger in serie a.

Fofana is the Most creative midfielder we have, if not the only.
Fofana is dog shit but he is better than other pieces of feces in that photo.

Any coach who doesn’t dominate midfield with these outer players will suffer tremendously.

We neither have a sturdy defense nor incisive attack to have a light midfield. Last time we had a proper midfield was with hakan and kessie and a plethora of backups supported by insanely hardworking wingers like Rebic and saele. Forgot about the virus they made in vat in 2020

Our gk with that extension is going to land like a shotput

YOU cursed him. But fuck HIM ?

ty-aftv.gif
I meant I jinxed him because after I praised him he let in two goals, one of which could have been avoided. Cursed also means basically bringing bad luck and that's what I wanted to say. The rest was trying to be funny, like mock anger.

We never played well in those friendlies despite some wins
Now we don’t play well and get pummelled.

So will be worse next season?

We need to begin making moves with the start of the season two weeks away because right now I see us no better than sixth. Tomori and Fofana didn't play yesterday which leads me to believe that they will be the first to go, probably followed by Ricci, Terracciano and Estupinian.

Pulisic will stay based on positive past performances that were interrupted mostly because of injuries so the hope is that he's completely rehabilited and can produce. I would try to sell Nkunku that again yesterday played poorly, a real bad decision to bring him in at that cost and high salary. With our limited budget we can't afford mistakes of that magnitude.

For the rest, the idea of Musah, Chuck, and RLC staying does not appeal to me and hope that the media is wrong and that Amorim understand that Chuck as RWB cannot work, while we've been trying to unload Musah for a while but Atalanta where he hardly played was never going to redeem the loan.

So, fodders that we believed had gone forever are now seen as useful pieces for the upcoming season. We all hope that Amorim knows what he's doing but these players fail the eye test when I watch them play and I can't find much to be happy about.

On the flip side I'd like to see at least 4 new players that are good enough to improve our odds of top 4. Players that have been there done that, no more gambles that haven't paid off, particularly the expensive ones like Jashari that I've seen nothing special about. Watching him play nobody would guess that he cost us almost 40 million.

We created no scoring chances, couldn't keep their pace, couldn't advance the ball forward, and spent most of the time on our side of the pitch. Chelsea scored 3 goals and hit the post 3 times. They created multiple chances with ease, our midfield was non-existent and their wingers couldn't be contained.

Amorim was pretty tame in his statements, didn't seem concerned at all and kept repeating that he has a good squad, the players are great, the mercato is fine as he had only requested two purchases. Should have pointed out that we were dominated, completely out-played, which is more worrisome than the final score.

Milan is seeking defensive reinforcements for manager Amorim and has made inquiries about the availability of Marin Pongracic. Fiorentina currently has no intention of changing its defense, and only informal talks have taken place. The situation could change if Pongracic requests a transfer, and Torino has also been linked with the player who has a market value of €6.50m according to Transfermarkt.
