Saw Ruud playing for Holland once at the stadium.One of, if not the most inteligent goalscorer of all time. Always had solution as soon as he recieved the ball.

He was unreal. United have had some great strikers over the years. Rooney, Cantona, Cole, Yorke, Tevez. But Ruud was just on another level when it came to putting the ball in the net.

Definitely a great finisher but I easily take a young Rooney over him.
Similar to that Bacca commentary - some players need functioning teams and others can just make stuff happen. Ruud was great for united but if I remember correctly not that hot for NT. He always hit the target though, you got that right.

Also a shame a European team never let Tevez just run it and be the main guy.

Must be. Altough Kjaer, Theo and Calabria has a pretty good season too.
But Kessie was just extraordinary.

Since the turn of 2021, he was very poor for stretches, over-compensating in attack when we were poor upfront without really contributing while neglecting more defensive duties. Glad to see he's turned it around, as have other underperforming players.

Bennacer? He was out basically all season, no? He was excellent at Juve last week but back to being rusty again against Torino. Must be the fasting, the game was earlier than the Juve game.
