greetings friends of our favourite club, l just want 2 see your opinion :-)

Just 2 remember u. When Rui arrived to milan there was no place 4 big Croat and he was loaned 2 Celta, where he was unhappy with small role and that caused his retirement. And after all is Rui Costa one of 40 best Milan players in History?NO!He had the biggest retirement game in last 10 years!Who brought the title himself, and coach used him as a bench player?Let's not forget World CUp 98?The last milan fantasista...

Best regards my friends...

Zvone ti si legenda... Hvala ti na svemu...

Rui was bought in when he was at his peak.....and that was when Boban was well past it...he was about 33.

At their best Boban was simply irresistable....he produced unseen Magic on the pitch....just like Prosinecki

Boban, our truly maestro.
Boban for Milan was what Totti is for Roma today.

Comparing Rui Costa to Boban is like comparing canned tuna with lobster.

None! Ruud Gullit was the best

You can't talk about Rossoneri 10s without mentioning him....

Afterall, Gullit won a ballon d'or, which Boban and Rui never did.

speaking of legends, thought, what about gianni rivera? never saw him play of course, but i've seen replays and of course heard somethings...
he's gotta be up there for the best number 10, no??

This man was capable of pissing me off for 89 minutes of a match...

Then he would pull off some magic that was simply breath-taking, and furthermore the sort of stuff most players wouldn't even attempt in practice let alone a match.

A true great in my book... ;)

In response to what redondo said...............

I think we are comparing more of the modern day players by comparing Boban and Rui instead of Rivera...or no 10's. Football was completely different back in Gianni Rivera days. Look at Pele for example.....people say he was so great becaus ehe made things look so simple.....but if u look how much time he had on the balll....no wonder he made it look so easy.

Nowdays players barely get 4 seconds on the ball unbless ur a master dribbler....and thats becoming rarer and rarer in football these days....its more the speed and power type game...IMO anyway.

Boban and Rui can be compared but Rivera wouldnt be fair to Boban Rui or Gianni if we were to compare them.....anyway thats just my opinion.....ill just wait and see how many people disagree and reply back fuming :)[/quote]

Rui was in my opinion a lot better during his years in Florence and I believe that if he was in a bigger team, he could've become a legend ... I would just be totally hypnotized when I watched him along with Batigoal and I had always wanted him to join Milan ... It was indeed like a dream when his transfer to the red and black was completed, but unfortunately his career with us didn't reach the magic of Boban!
Maybe the Florence Rui Costa is more comparable :)

I think Kaká will become one of Milan's biggest legends ever. Even more if he will have the #10 on his back.

Rui Costa has never really impressed me. He was too slow and didn't always had an action that could confuse everybody. He is good though. But didn't really lived up to the expectations.

Yes Rui was as a dream to join Milan but he did not give as expected, but he gave not bad of his play.
Boban was very good at that time and he was the conductor of the team.

Both of them are good player but for Milan Boban is beter according to thier play.

Chill out Dejan ;)

Redondo has a good point though with Rivera. Many true Milan fans recognize him and Baresi as two of the club's biggest legends, and furthermore Rivera was a 10......in every sense. :)

redondo....i ment that it would be unfair to compare them....IMO

Savicevic played in the modern era so it easy to compare him and Boban and Rui....I dont know too much about Rivera so its up to u to decide if he was better than Boban and Rui - not me  ??

Gullit was simply the best for Milan at that position.
Yea true he was better than Boban + Rui Costa!!!
Even though Boban was one of the players from the succesfull early 90s Milan squad.
Zvone Boban played 9 seasons for AC Milan before he was loaned or sold to Celta de Vigo in Spain and he also finished his career there,
total games / goals: 178 / 21
Internationals games-goals = Croatia (51-12) = Yugoslavia (7-1)
In nine years with the "rossoneri", he won four league championships, one Champions League, one European Supercup and several minor honours.

Rui Costa arrived in the season 01/02 at Milanello from Fiorentina, and he really had his best time there at Fiorentina, he was praised as the best playmaker, or at least the last great on this position!!! Rui just finished his 3rd season with Milan, during this 3 years he won CL-title, European Super Cup and Coppa Italia in 02/03 and the Scudetto 03/04. Rui Costa has lost of his magic from Fiorentina days, he wont get any younger, and overall hes not long enough at Milan to really can stand a comparisation with Boban or even Gullit - the number of Rui Costa goals for Milan in Serie A can count on 1 hand = 4!
some people have expected more goals from a £28millions Starplayer.
total games / goals: 76 / 4 + 3 goals in UEFA cup 01/02
internationals games-goals = Portugal 85 / 23

Ruud Gullit, was one of the best players ever who played for the Rossoneri, he joined Milan for a then world record fee of £6(!!!) millions from PSV Eindhoven.
for AC Milan: 125 games / 38 goals in 7 seasons
Gullit has won all mayor titles in Europe with Milan. Also had a serious knee injury during the 89/90 season, which limited him only to a few games.
3 x Serie A Championship, 2 x European Cup, 2 x European Super Cup,
2 x Intercontinental Cup, plus 1988 the European Championship with Holland, European player of the year in 1987, 2 x World Soccer Player of the year 1987, 1989.
hes comparable maybe with Roberto Baggio, both have a legendary status and would belong for sure to a list of 50 or 100 best Football players!!! ever!!!

FORZA RUUD GULLIT FOREVER MILAN HERO!!!
FORZA ZVONE BOBAN!!!
FORZA RUI COSTA!!!
