Again, the problem with your statement is 'last two games'

Just saying, great players... whatever they do off the pitch, come with that killer attitude every game.

Heck Robinho is a clown, always joking, doing what he wants... minute he's on pitch he has 1 interest, embarassing opposition and winning

Well you gotta start somewhere, right?

wait...you criticize pato for "showing up when he wants to" and having "shit effort in games" while your fav. player is seedorf?

nah, seedorf always shows up, sometimes he just plays shitty. He's 102 man, sometimes your mind and legs don't meet up.

And his training regime has always been praised as one of best in world, staying in phenomenal shape for his age. Ancelotti, Leo and allegri (allegri who has benched pippo, pirlo and 90% of oldies, admires Clarence)

Ah. I see.
Maybe it wont be such a bad idea for us to keep him here, considering the above mentioned facts.

Yes, but it's more valuable for PSG since they are sponsored by Nike and we Adidas, and Barbara headlines can be embarrassing for Milan but for PSG it would just raise his celebrity factor.

In regards to general marketability towards the Brazilian market it's leveled out a bit by the fact that we have two other Brazilian stars in Thiago and Robinho.
Nagatomo is apparently huge marketing wise for Inter, but three Japanese players wouldn't mean three times as much interest. Star level is important too, Onyewu never was a success for Milan, but if he'd been a solid performer it would have been another market for Milan to tap into. If we signed Nainggolan and he was a hit we'd get marketing success in two markets. If we signed Christian Eriksen there would be a lot of interrest from Denmark, When Zlatan moved from Barca to Milan Swedish travel industry reported a huge switch in sales of weekend trips from Barcelona to Milan.

Ok.. this was probably boring.

I didn't start watching seedorf last year, the guy only shows up when he wants to which ranges between 5-10 games a season if Milan are lucky, and everyone here will back me up on this, he shows no interest/will vs the small sides/games that aren't that important.

this shit has been happening for a long time, since seedorf joined Milan he has been inconsistent and would only be world class when he feels like it.

I would never talk shit about his training, I just find it hilarious that you criticize pato for showing up when he wants to/lack off effort in games when seedorf is the master when it comes to this shit.

yeah,

this is just not true. Seedorf always shows up. Like I said, sometimes he just playss poorly, but he makes his runs and is in right position.

Sometimes it takes him a long time to get their though :D. And that's just reality.

it is true, whether you admit it or not.

100% sure I'm not the only one that feels this way whether its in this forum or outside, seedorf used to get booed every year at the san siro.

seedorf is the prime example of playing when he wants to and inconsistency, whether hes 26 or 36.

He's booed cause hes physically incapable of playing every game at a certain level. I don't deny this. The fact he's always a first choice player till 35 is a problem in management. It's clear he has physical limitations

Never really got booed before 32.

Otherwise he plays hard and does his job. His job is not running headless like nocerino.

no, he used to get booed because he used to play like shit and show no effort/will.

fans will never boo someone if he's giving it his all, why do you think antonini is still alive?

its clear you're being super biased when it comes to clarence, deny it all you want, doesn't make you right.

But that's false.

Seedorf in some games has around the same level as Pato when they both don't try.

It's not like Seedorf is Mr.Consistently trying. Sometimes he tries, and sometimes he doesn't.

You can't excuse one with "His mind and legs don't meet" and slander the other for it.

Both have to be tarred with the same brush and you know it.

Then WHY has no coach criticized Clarence, yet both Ancelotti and allegri criticize Pato?

Seems Clarence does what they want, you just don't get it.

---

Clarence certainly has poor games, and gets more starts than he deserves cause of his ability. However, he does play hard and does what coach asks in all games. Tactically very astute, takes up right positions, intelligent. That's his role.

he works hard in training, and it's not like ancelotti or allegri ever had options.

seedorf got his ass benched by allegri last season until he started playing well from march onwards.

it's actually disgraceful when a supposed leader like seedorf is the prime example of inconsistency and lack off effort in games, a very bad example for the kids on the field.

the only thing that's good with old players is that they should be consistent, while seedorf has the mentality of a 20 year old :head:

Actually, i think that's inaccurate.

Clarence was pulled to and from the lineup for 2 reasons

1) age. Allegri recognized seedorf can't play 180 a week

2) role-

Keep in mind, allegri started with pirlo, seedorf in CM together. That's a recipe for defensive disaster because combine they barely cover ground of 1 mid.

Then he moved seedorf to AM, which like always he's inconsistent at because he's declining physically. It didn't work well, so he took him out

Finally, when pirlo went down, he started utilizing seedorf as his lone creativity in CM and it worked, because he had enough defensive cover around him, and provided more than pirlo going forward in our tactics...

--

You're jus making up an argument to try and disprove something which is a fact (with pato over last 2 years). You keep resorting to 'i'm bias' because you have no comeback. I have no bias towards pato before, but now I'm just annoyed with him.

And the seedorf accusations are a joke. The guy's been a top level player for NINETEEN YEARS. Heralded by coach after coach, including mr. workrate Fergie, guys like mourinho and pep and on and on. Is it possible, you guys and fans in stadium just don't understand what he does? Cause his game is RARELY eye pleasing, it's mostly intelligence based, especially last 5 years...

Not boring. You always talk so much sense.
Seriously I don't think I've argued with anything you posted. Ever.

The marketing factor is interesting. Like Onyewu that you mentioned, I'm sure he was mostly brought in to widen the market. Also the Nike/Adidas thing must be a dilemma in many transfer cases, but doesn't effect the biggest names too much (for example Nike's biggest male and female stars - Ibra and Cristina - are both in Adidas-teams).

Lol. This coming from a Seedorf fan is really funny, and he's always been like this. Even under Carlo I remember fans being frustrated because of his lacklustre performance in league games.

Anyway the points Senatore has made about Pato(for the 100th time)are not untrue. Even I think he is immature and spoilt.
But I am against selling the 'only' potential world class talent we have in the squad. Yes, he should have reached his peak by now, for whatever reasonhe hasn't.
However, I don't think there is any point in selling a 22 year old forward. We can wait for 2-3 years, unless his form slumps drastically, which is very unlikely I'm sure we can make more money out of him. He can only get better, even if marginally.
In the meantime, it doesn't really hurt having him around. Pato may not become the world beater people had expected him to become, but he's still a quality player and also marketable as someone pointed out earlier.

I havent read a single coach criticize Antonini or Bonera either. Press is more worried about Pato than Clarence to be frank.

Clarence does what he wants to. And its almost a conjecture that Clarence turns up only when he wants to and it generally doesnt involve small teams especially if his contract is not on the line.

You can really see the difference in his movement, his passing , his defending when he is in the i dont give a fuck mode. A horrendously languid player who you will be lucky to see put in 3 consecutive performances if he doesnt see immediate incentives. Now you cant really make the case that its because he is old because its been seen that he can put in good performances consecutively like last year when his contract was about to run out. But pretty much faded after a few games in this season. He will probably turn up again at the Emirates after fucking up at san siro.

Best example would be juventus where he was anchored to a spot. Zambrotta getting skinned by Lichsteiner over and over again and he just watched. I didnt see him with any leadership skills in that situation. Very poor leader actually. Doesnt lead by example at all.

come to think of it. people are right. He and Pato are absolutely similar. Only difference is Pato is 22 and Clarence 36. At least Clarence can say been there done that. And Pato only seems to start putting in his shifts when the threat of being sold became apparent. I wouldnt be surprised if Clarence is his role model... at least on the pitch anyway.

I'm not making up anything up, everything I say is the truth, this is rich coming from someone who makes up shit when he argues

I'm not saying pato does not show lack of effort or isn't inconsistent, I agree that he is inconsistent, it just hilarious coming from the biggest seedorf fan boy.

I wasn't trying to disprove that pato is inconsistent, you just made that up, I'm simply calling you a hypocrite, which is pretty damn clear.

yeah, we and the fans in the stadium don't understand:fp:, but the seedorf fan boy understands? please proceed to GTFO

"seedorf gets into the right positions and does what he is asked" is he asked to play worse than a serie B player and work less than garfield???

How much do Damaio and Eriksen cost????

If El Shaarawy who most are jizzing about can do half of what Pato did soon then maybe we can find one more player but that is also rubbish about cash strapped Milan getting a 2 for 1 with Pato.

Go down with that Clarence ship - lol - always knew you clinging to his ass would sink you ;)

What makes you think that we will be able to develop them into world class players? We are not exactly the best in the world in developing players.
Imo there is no point in getting rid of Pato unless we can get someone who is already world class and young. Cavani for ex.
And also you tend to overlook the fact he's been here for 5 years and the fans are attached to Pato, I personally would love to see him become world class at Milan, it would be a huge failure if we fail to bring the best out of Pato and he goes to some other club and reaches his potential.

They can't mix up the story like this. Where did Pato go? Did he break?
This Clarence dude came out of nothing. Is this a subplot? Oh well, still exiting.
That Sage guy has it coming for him.
Maybe Ibra will enter the story soon and kill off some of these noobs.

Just throwing out names. They are both prices at 15-20 mil. If Milan came around 17 with pressure they'd get them. Every year we see a player milan scout, pass on for 8-10 mil who turns out to be worth 3-4 times it (pastore, hernanes, jovetic) too. Personally, I wish we trusted our scouts a bit more.

At the moment clubs like tottenham and city are overbidding but they don't wanna go.

What makes you think that we will be able to develop them into world class players? We are not exactly the best in the world in developing players.

This of course is my major pet peeve of mine with Milan.

To do this, we need to have a) a coach who can
b) give him total trust.

I think Allegri can, he's strict but not unfair. We'll see merkel and el shaarawy more, but he won't play them if they are lazy.

Eitherway, milan NEED to learn to develop players or else we're doomed, since we won't spend city amounts.

Or heck ,sell pato... sign pastore or jovetic? My only point is argument of him being our future and only world class talent, isn't a reason to not sell.

Well if we can get a Pastore or Jovetic for sure then I can say maybe but I am not sold on Pastore. He has looked great on the counter but that wont be Milan, when teams defend he seems pretty average, does have a good shot though. Jovetic, still need to see a bit more to totally convince me.

Also I am not sure about us getting these talents for low prices. We couldnt even buy Lamela and he was at 12 mil but I do agree we should try harder (securing and developing) but that also means being patient which we arent.

Work it out with Pato - a season and a half and then drop him if it isnt working. You still have El Shaarawy and Merkel to develop and you try to find one gem to bring in regarless of if its working with Pato or not. That is my thinking.

 And Ibra shows up but "decides to flop" in big games :fp:
Robinho shows up but "decides to miss sitters"

We all know Pato is fucking up and many had a part to play in that. Stop flogging the horse, it is past the glue factory now. In the here and now he is trying (despite his walk off:fp:).

People are killing his performances but we should play Robinho who misses infinitely more or praise Ibra when he strolls around in the derby????? How many games has Ibra blown chances only to score or assist and then gets a pass from the many ass kissers in here. If Ibra had Pato's performance you would here how he was determined and he setup others but they missed their chances etc and if Pato played like Ibra you would here how he is lazy and cant even make a run etc. Really lets just drop it and see what can be done by all for the rest of the season.

Senatore' please also stop giving Carlo a pass and putting it all on B&G. Carlo was right there building Alex up.

Oh had this response to stir the pot for haters-fanboys :D
