again, it is meaningless. The team doesnt match up with how he plays. Ibra did not score more goals in Barca than he noramlly did in Serie A even though it is an easier league to score in. The team didnt fit him.

Cavani didnt score as many goals at Palermo as he did at Napoli because of how they used him.

Goals scored is a partially a matter of fit.

and yeah they have booed him. So what? They expected him to score every game when her came over for a big price tag, and whenever he misses, the fans go nuts and get angry. Meh, everyone misses the goal at times. He also took a bad PK that knocekd them out of a competition. So the next game his team won a PK and he took the ball and hammered in the game winner.

The form will come back in time.

And going to a team where he would have Ozil and Co. feeding him the ball with a coach that is great at building up player's confidence he will be good to go.

Ibra was AMAZING at barca, not to mention, youre forgetting when players approach their prime, they get better. For example, cavani is better now than he was at palermo, regardless of how he was used. His goal tallies has gone up year by year, same as ibra. Stop using that as an excuse. Not to mentions, patos only job is to score, and currently, hes really shitty at that.

I really don't think his season was good enough. Even considering Corinthians problems, I expected much more.

Still I think Corinthians will keep him (unless they plan to buy some big name foreign striker). They paid 15M and they'll not profit from it.

They will look around and face there's a shortage of strikers in Brazil... It's still better to give Pato another year.

Really? Not something I'd expect, but I don't know much about Brazilian football. Any particular reason for that?

The good strikers like Fred, Damião, Luis Fabiano etc are injured or had a poor season.

When one think Jô is starting for the NT...

I think it'll take a season or two for some young strikers to step up

youd think brazil, famous for its past strikers and attacking mids, would have an abundance of talent in that area

naah Brazil is going through a bad time. When Jo is one of the star strikers in the league, then you know you have problems

It's a cyclical thing... Right now Brazil got wide players and CMs in excess. Not enough 10s and strikers

One two years and it change

Least the national team can make up that lack of strikers with mids and winger. Honestly dont see pato making the team let alone the bench. Itll be robihno before him.

I dont see him making the squad either. Nor do I expect things to get better for him at his club

Diego Costa would easily start for Brazil now and 2014... He picked Spain though

Yeah but it was either Spain or no world cup for him. I think he realised the manager didnt like him and wouldnt pick him. The question is how the hell does he justify Jo ahead of Costa:eek:

Nah, Felipão would call him and he talked to Diego Costa before his decision to chose Spain... Even promised a place for WC (as if it was not clear).

But he did it too late... Also, it's Costa decision only. If he feels Spanish, etc.

Pharaoh and Sven pretty much agree with me. Are they wrong as well:rolleyes:

No they dont because is nothing to agree with, you dont even have arguments just some cliches that you base on conventional wisdom, when your opinion is based on nothing its not an opinion.

you dont even know Scolari called up Diego Costa for the squad but he refused :fp: just spare yourself the embarassment and stop posting.

neither did i and i suspect a large majority of people in this forum. It pisses me off when someone gloats their football knowledge and expect other to follow certain players, teams and leagues like you do. Unless something is common knowledge, like say, messi winning a ballon dor, dont tout that shit as an excuse to ridicule someone who doesnt have the interest to pursue the same shit that you do.

Can one be entitled to an opinion based on statistics? Im sure arsene and everyone who thinks pato sucks has atleast kept up with his stats, and from that,i made conclusions.

Some people can be such fucking assholes.

You cant conclude someone has lack of hunger/desire by looking at his statistics, not knowing any context or the player himself.

I feel like Im arguing with fucking kids here. If someone doesnt have an interest to pursue the same shit as I do, then dont post about it and shove fucking drivel down my throat

Stats are saying he's not doing well. Fans booing shows he's not performing well. Club being open to selling him says he hasnt been what they expected. I mean everyone cant be wrong and you cant be right:lol: He was once a great talent. But he's not the first wonderkid who hasnt developed as people thought he would be and he wont be the last. What happened to pato is not unique. i know you are a fan, but no need to get all worked up over people not rating him

That rant i made about spouting shit that normal people dont know about was directed towards your comment about costa btw.

Yeah, you pretty much can,its called an OPINION. It doesnt honestly have to have a basis in reality. Not like anyone here is declaring anything as fact. Get off your high horse.

Shit,i can think aliens are controlling humans through cows that slowly brainwash farmers into growing mutant crops, guess what? Its my fucking opinion. I mean,i totally understand shitting on someone who declares something as fact, but your ragging on someones OPINION.

Point is it doesnt have to be. You guys gotta understand what an opinion is. I get debating and seeing whos right, but the guy treats every opinion as if its fact,as if it has to have some backing, which is not true at all.
