The question of who's a better defender doesn't make sense without context. Better for what system? Defending deep? Palleta is probably our best at that. For a high line possession game? Obviously Romagnoli is best. This is why people like Acerbi fail at Milan, because they're not used to playing a high line/possession game and thrive at deep defending. Doesn't mean they're bad, it just means they're good at what the team needs them to do. Galliani doesn't know this, which is why we get theoretically good players, but rarely are they good for the team.

This mercato was a 2. I don't understand how anyboy can give it a 5 or higher. if we got Badelj then I would have said it was a 4.5 or a 5.0 mercato

At the start of June we needed a starting CB, a starting CDM, a starting CM and a starting Winger to compete for 3rd position this season.

We failed to address any of the 4 positions adequately. Gomez was an attempt to address the CB position but we still needed an experienced CB. the other 3 positions were not addressed at all
