The question of who's a better defender doesn't make sense without context. Better for what system? Defending deep? Palleta is probably our best at that. For a high line possession game? Obviously Romagnoli is best. This is why people like Acerbi fail at Milan, because they're not used to playing a high line/possession game and thrive at deep defending. Doesn't mean they're bad, it just means they're good at what the team needs them to do. Galliani doesn't know this, which is why we get theoretically good players, but rarely are they good for the team.
