Lol! Wot if L&M hire mou as the next coach of Milan?

No way

what also upsets me is gattuso's praise for mirabelli. i think gattuso's relations between maldini + leo aren't the greatest. maldini definitely thinks hes an idiot and leo we already know does not like him

What if we lose? Will you finally let us have our meltdown in peace?

It's too early for meltdowns. If we lose to Roma, I don't think I'd be ready for a meltdown.

I was pro-meltdown when they hired Gattuso, especially as I thought Montella would be a good manager. And I was wrong about Gattuso.

So I'm willing to give him more time. He's earned it.

Everytime I read the name "Borini" here, I read also "Good defending", "one assist", "throw himself to the ground" Am I missing something or Ac Milan is playing in rugby league !? We WANT football players to step up and play. It's fine loosing the game with best players of the team on the pitch.
AC Milan is not a nursery, yeah u are the italian talent of the future or u were good playing for the U19 or .... Reina should play because he is better fit now.

When are you gonna stop attacking people? We need you calm and positive Alec.

I don't recall attacking people. After all, it was him taking issue about my post wondering why people are dead set on getting Conte and not a coach that plays exciting football instead.

I'm always calm, always positive - absolute tranquility brother.

RMC Sport:Anthony Martial is not at the end of his difficulties at Manchester United. The French striker was dismissed from the group for no reason to face Tottenham on Monday night (on RMC Sport at 21h). A decision incomprehensible to the player, while he is not injured. As revealed exclusively by RMC Sport on June 13, 2018, Anthony Martial wants to leave the club but the staff does not absolutely want to part with it and refused all approaches for the player, including those of AC Milan and the Atlético de Madrid.

Wonder how reliable this source is. If true that we were actually going for him before the window closed a bit of a shame we couldn't close the deal. Man Utd are quite difficult to negotiate with even when they don't want their players anymore. I'd like to see Leo trying again during the winter transfer window together with a creative mid and regista once the voluntary agreement is reached with UEFA. Only problem will be is if Mou is sacked and new coach unfreezes Martial.

People prefer result over style nowadays.

I’m sure those type of coaches wouldn’t last long with berlu.

As I said, attractive style and results aren't exclusive to each other and we've seen ugly football fail as well. Just look at Mourinho - utd spent so much money on players and all he does is play ugly football and alienate players.

People seem to think that because Conte got Jube to win Serie A when they were weaker that it would work the same way if he took us over - completely neglecting the fact that the competitiveness in Serie A is considerably different today compared to back then.

I agree, Berlusconi isn't an easily impressed man - he wants it all - beautiful football and results.

I agree on Conte’s assessment, it’s not 2012 anymore where milan handed them the keys to Serie A, same way inter decided not to give a fuck anymore after Moratti won the champions.

Mourinho is a special case though, the root cause for him failing isn’t about his ugly football at all, it’s more about his personality than his style. He makes it about him, he thinks he’s bigger than life even bigger than clubs he coaches, let alone players he wants to fight for him.

Milan has offered Ivan Gazidis a wage of €4M/year, and he would occupy a central and decisive CEO role for the growth of Milan and its commercial brand. By-mid September, Gazidis will have to choose between Arsenal and Milan. [Repubblica]

:fp: Gattuso has worked his way up and took the shittiest stations, unlike other legends, he does not need to go to school. He deserves the job after what he did for us last season.
Gattuso has been underrated for his whole life and look how far he came, it is sad how much Milan fans shit on him at this point.

Grinta Gattuso benefitted from a 230m squad + Calabria, Donnarumma + Romagnoli whereas the other legends didn’t. If you extrapolate his PPG over the entire season we still would’ve finished 6th.

If Gazidis leaves Arsenal to join Milan that menas there are some serious plans by Elliott for Milan. He wouldn't be leaving a rich Premier League club to come to Milan with prospect of finishing 4-6th in the next few years.

Oh please.

Every manager that RnB masturbates over had a bigger budget to work with than Gattuso (Sarri at Napoli, Conte at Chelsea, etc).

Besides that, Gattuso didn't get to spend those 230m, he inherited a flawed squad from Cuntella and F&M.
No top manager would agree to join after Cuntella last season. With no money to spend and a high failure rate.

Gattuso had the balls to take the job and did a great under shitty circumstances.
Be grateful you fucks.

I wasn’t comparing him to other coaches. I was replying to another poster who compared him to legends like Dorf + Bibbo. It’s unfair because they both inherited vastly inferior squads. Learn to read dumbass

But now that you mention it, since when did Sarri have a higher transfer budget at Napoli? Napoli’s SD is a wizard who built their starting XI for <100m. Sarri’s biggest signing was Milik for 35m which is the same as Caldara :fp:

Milan only expects an economic penalty from UEFA for breaking the FFP rules. The club is also willing to ask for a Voluntary Agreement with UEFA. [Gazzetta dello Sport]

Interesting to see how Gazidis will run the club. Sponsorship deals will be key in addition to good governance so that the club will be able to increase steadily in value and not leak money every year. I am sure Ely's 8m signing on fee a year after he was released for free is just the tip of the iceberg. Who knows what other corrupt deals were going on down to the gardening budget and the tea lady.

If we go by the way Fassone handled the 230m mercato, UEFA and sponsorship, I don't have confidence that he managed to audit the financial situation properly much less address it so yet another reason it is good to see the back of him.

I admit I don't know a lot about Gazidis but Arsenal's brand value and finances are impressive especially when they haven't been setting the EPL alight for a number of years.

I trust Elliot as this is their area to get the best people for the job. And yes if Gazidis accepts, he like Leo and Paolo must have been given some very strong reassurances that there is a cohesive plan for the future.

Big question is how much can we spend in the winter transfer window if we are allowed the Voluntary Agreement.

Not a breakeven budget for sure. You can spend as long as it goes with the voluntary agreement.

Neat, so all that Rino has to do is get us into a reasonable league position by Christmas and then hopefully Leo can work some magic to get us the players we need.

Wonder if Gazidis is waiting to see if we get the Voluntary Agreement before signing on.

I don’t think the agreement has anything to do with Gazidis decision. He will be here to boost our revenue through commercial, sponsors and maybe a stadium. UEFA agreement will help us in the market and help us maintain the squad and not going to sell in order to achieve financial milestones.
