No u learn to read u fock. :o

Sarri expenses 17/18 - 62,25 Mill. €
Sarri expenses 16/17 - 97,09 Mill. €
Sarri expenses 15/16 - 42,70 Mill. €

Gattuso expenses 18/19 - 38,75 Mill. €

Yeah Sarri didn't have a higher budget than Gattuso :proud:

Do you even realise transfer budget means inflows + outflows? You can’t just ignore the fact Napoli sold Higuain for 90m :fp:

I don’t think the agreement has anything to do with Gazidis decision. He will be here to boost our revenue through commercial, sponsors and maybe a stadium. UEFA agreement will help us in the market and help us maintain the squad and not going to sell in order to achieve financial milestones.

I see, maybe I am looking at it too simplistically that the commercial revenues and sponsors are linked to our performance on the pitch which in turn is somewhat dependent on whether we are able to keep our best players and purchase some reinforcements.

But I guess you are right that Gazidis may be able to do things to improve our value and financial situation independently of our results as I think he has managed to do at Arsenal, although having looked at some articles about him there are conflicting opinions on how well he did his job there.

The stadium is an interesting angle. Gazidis wasn't involved in the construction of Emirates Stadium so I would like to see how he deals with either refurbishing San Siro or building a new stadium.

In any case since Kroenke has purchased Arsenal, Gazidis has an unstable situation there so surely it's a no-brainer to come to us. If he does, I hope he is the right man for the job.

I agree on Conte’s assessment, it’s not 2012 anymore where milan handed them the keys to Serie A, same way inter decided not to give a fuck anymore after Moratti won the champions.

Mourinho is a special case though, the root cause for him failing isn’t about his ugly football at all, it’s more about his personality than his style. He makes it about him, he thinks he’s bigger than life even bigger than clubs he coaches, let alone players he wants to fight for him.

I'll gladly sign off on everything you said here.

If Gazidis leaves Arsenal to join Milan that menas there are some serious plans by Elliott for Milan. He wouldn't be leaving a rich Premier League club to come to Milan with prospect of finishing 4-6th in the next few years.

You jumped into a conclusion too fast. Gazidis is receiving a higher pay at Milan. Who doesnt want that??

Rewatched our game against Napoli. Boy... have there been some overreactions. When you look past the surface it's actually pretty positive. The result itself, and giving up a 2-0 lead was obviously a huge blow. This shouldn't happen. Emotionally its hard to swallow, so I can actually understand the negativity.

Logically speaking, the performance was good.
I say this because there is little to no acknowledgement of the circumstances when assessing our performance.

Few points to note:
- We're fighting for a top four spot in the league.
- Napoli are a top two side, and at home.
- They were very short favourites to win this game.
- Our best player last season is suspended, and Borini takes his place.

Despite us being the underdogs, we went to the San Paolo and played with courage. And against the best pressing team in Italy we moved the ball well and scored two beautiful goals. Re-watching the game, this made me very happy. I think a neutral would have been impressed with this Milan side for the most part.

Kessie and Biglia were sloppy at times, but I can forgive them for being the first game of the season. The wheels only fell off when we invited them back into the game off a mistake from Musacchio. Fewer mistakes, and the mental strength to adapt to different phases of the games will propel this side forward.

Speaking of Biglia, he might not be a player to turn many heads, but it's very noticeable when he's not there. Any time he is not playing, we look like a mess. His understanding of the regista role is invaluable to this team.

It frustrates me that all of this gets overlooked, and perfection is expected. We are a work in progress, and one game isnt the end of the world... certainly not one we were expected to lose anyway.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this season under Gattuso. The squad is settled, morale is good, the lineup is consistent, the system is understood. And we have a bomber in Higuain. Plenty to be positive about.

As fans having Gazidis on board is really in our favor for the short term as he’ll encourage Elliot to invest in the brand for greater return in the mid-long term future.

Check juventus If you want to see the impact stadium has on revenues. Sharing a refurbished San Siro with inter isn’t going to benefit either clubs, it will only help the municipality asking for a higher rent. Owning your stadium will help you with the naming rights, events or even having someone else building it for you for a long term deal with the builder.

Financially we are punching way below our weight and it will not be difficult to re-sign sponsor as long as you have competent people at the helm.

Now I really don’t care how people view Gazidis as long as he achieves his targets. Wether we like it or not Arsenal is one of the few self-sustaining clubs in the world. The tv money in epl is great but this channel isn’t the revenue to achieve sustainability it is only inflating the expenditures.

Plenty of mid-table mentality quotes in that post. Settling for that kind of mediocrity is what got Milan in this place.

That and the arrogance of Berlusconi, thinking your past trophy cabinet counts for something.

Yes I really believe that we can do so much better financially with the AC Milan brand. If Gazidis can capitalize fully on that then we can justify a couple of marquee players a season.

Juventus, stadium and all have been able to dominate Serie A possibly because of good governance (and lack of good governance at the Milan clubs) more than anything else so if Gazidis is able to do that then roll out the welcome carpet.

Hopefully all the missing pieces are coming together which all leads to the reawakening of this great club.

French outlet @RMCSport reports that Milan made an offer to Manchester United this summer for Anthony Martial, which was later rejected.

from what I heard, the municipality of milan is refusing to grant the right to own a stadium. Milan has to figure out a way to get around this matter.

No not really, fassone kept kicking the can along the way and the Chinese were clueless.

Under Silvio the project was a go but the 50m reclamation rights after 99 years scared him off and Mr. Bee went missing.

As I said, attractive style and results aren't exclusive to each other and we've seen ugly football fail as well. Just look at Mourinho - utd spent so much money on players and all he does is play ugly football and alienate players.

People seem to think that because Conte got Jube to win Serie A when they were weaker that it would work the same way if he took us over - completely neglecting the fact that the competitiveness in Serie A is considerably different today compared to back then.

I agree, Berlusconi isn't an easily impressed man - he wants it all - beautiful football and results.

Good thing we are competing for UCL spots and not the league

 in advance if you think it's harder to get UCL spots over meme clubs like Lazio/inter/Roma than win the league against Ibrahimovic and allegri.

Biglia definitely didn't play that great but he is getting a raw deal. He had a role in our two goals, and the first goal that we gave up was on Mussachio.

Biglia actually almost did a good job to get out of the situation but he was off balanced and we saw the result.

Milan in 2018 is yet to win a match without Calhanoglu on the pitch, with 1 point collected in 3 matches.
The 3 matches that Calhanoglu were absent;

17/18 - Torino 1-1 Milan (injury)
17/18 - Milan 0-1 Benevento (injury)
18/19 - Napoli 3-2 Milan (disqualified)
