Gazidis doesn’t speak Italian and isn’t familiar with Italian football so Gandini will help him get acquainted. Also, Gandini has excellent relations with UEFA which need to be rebuilt after F+M and will help with FFP. Gandini will handle the sporting side and Gazidis the financial/commercial aspects.

After the calamitous way our club has been run the last 10 years, mainly because of extremely poor management, I welcome polished professionals in these positions. Reintegrating Maldini into the club is such a huge, huge deal because he is Milan DNA. Same with Leo, same with Kaká.

Our squad doesn't yet match such a management, but that's not something we could fix this summer. Leo did marvellous with a zero sum market and we now need our new management to fix things properly from an economical and sporting perspective(acquire the voluntary agreement, rid the club of fodders eventually) before we start climbing to the top via great signings.

This team is good enough to make top 4 and CL, which is essential. The way all the pieces seem to land perfectly behind the team really bolsters the teams confidence, I think.

I hope to see all of this translated to great on-the-field performances, starting with Roma on Friday.

It's about time people understand that Conti is not a RB. He is a RWB. The difference is huge. I like him a lot and hope for the best but he is not a RB. He will have the same positioning and marking problems like Calabria. Conti is fast, good crosser and has eye for the goal but he is not good at defending.

I actually think we are lining up for Conte and his 3 at the back bullshit.

After such a long absence, it'd be very hard to re-gain his past peak performance. Only a few manage to did it.

Roma was never tried in the middle to which I think he could do well if taught right. He's talented on the ball and is able to make decent long passes and last season has shown to step forwards in midfield at times to support attacking play. We all are aware at his ability to read the game. I do think he could make a good libero, with caldara being his stopper. Lcb then becomes something to headscratch.

Musa has the ball playing ability to be in the center of a 3 man but I do not put trust in his ability to sweep or be the last man.

At least with a libero we wouldn't have to rely as much on the registra to dictate tempo and that responsibility could be shared with the defender freely stepping between defensive and midfield lines when in posession

He's not the fastest so he isn't ideal as actual winger but in terms of adding creativity to our midfield, he's definitely more than able.
