It looks like we will first play Betis at home then away to Olympiacos followed by the double header against Dude. Top two go through.

If only andre silva was here. He would score a goal for sure.

Underestimating opponents and taking victories for granted are the 1st steps for very nasty incidents.

That said, our group is very duable and everything else than leading this group would be a disappointment to me :)

How do you know what he thinks?

Or do you think he is telling it as it is.

Would you go out and say stuff like half of our squad is shit?

Use logic.

ofc not. I'd say "I like what we showed with the goals, but we made a lot of mistakes the whole game, even if we managed to score twice and not concede by a miracle".

For the record I dont think half of our squad is shit. Half of his starting lineup , maybe.

Tough group, but at least its gonna be entertaining, unlike last year. And we'll face some non serie C lvl teams before playoffs. Last year we couldnt beat the only serie B lvl team from Athens.

Maldini: “The Europa League trend has changed for Italian clubs, this competition is taken more seriously. This competition gives the winner access to the Champions League and this means that the competitions level increases.”

Maldini to Sky: “The [Europa League] group is within our reach. We have Betis which is a good team, Olympiacos and Dudelange which is unknown to us. We are here to progress.”

Happy with the group

If we cant top the group, we can forget about winning the EL. A reasonable test which will tell us if we are ready to compete for EL victory

Hi Everyone,

I have been lurking around RnB since 2010 but finally decided to join and post something on here.

Amount of negativity on here is crazy actually. I feel like we are probably even worse than Aresnal fans or even worse fans. Some people on here wouldn't be happy with Messi/Ronaldo level players, perhaps I remember half of this forum hated Ibrahimovic.

All of us should realise that we are one of the youngest team in the league with a young coach. Failure like last week or against Arsenal will only make players and coach strong if they have will to improve. We need continuing with coach and players to improve.

I think Gattuso is a good coach and he will probably will be our Simone. I predict 2-0 win against Roma tomorrow.

Hey man, welcome. It is what it is, probably the most negative fan forum ever :D .. You can adapt by not posting, ignoring annoying people, actually use ignore list (forum feature) and ofc you can answer only the posts you choose. My guess most of the ppl here live boring life, are frustrated everyday and come here just to vent... but well, not everyone can be happy :) Enjoy

Yeah man, like RnB knows logic :D You know, there was a guy who said "If Rino becomes our coach, we will not be able to bring top players" :D

There are many factors, but its NOT money, NOT FFP, not management skills, its only about the coach :D <3 :proud:

It'll be in a much bigger stadium. Atalanta couldn't even play in their stadium for Europa League that they had to use Sassuolo's stadium and there's is a decent size.

It's no rocket science. When someone says we were good in the first 55 minutes and hopes to see more of that, its logical to say he thinks we did well. Don't act like its some kind of a horoscope prediction.

There are also reports that he had outrage in the locker room after the game... but in media, everything was alright in the first 55 mins. You believe what you want, i call that naive.
Most coaches dont shit talk about their team in public, and no matter how many times it is written here on RnB, some ppl will never understand it.

I dont know if he will turn up good or bad, i dont have a crystal ball, but one thing is for sure. Dont think he (or anyone in the club) was happy about that game/result no matter what they say

it's not about shittalking or not, have I said he should come out and say it was shit , ugly shit? It's common tactics to praise certain things not to demoralize and all that. However he could find separate points to praise and not demoralize the team too. You dont have to say stuff like "we played well for 55 mins" if you dont really mean it. Saying its naive to believe it is like saying its naive to believe him when he says "the goal was on musacchio" or "it was my mistake to bench biglia". Gattuso is a direct person, i think whoever doesnt believe these simple things that he says has cognitive dissonance problems. If he had outrage after the game in the dressing room does that mean he didnt truly enjoy 55 mins? If it means anything, its the opposite, he had a go at them for losing the game after being up 2-0 and playing decent football for 55 mins. Your point makes no sense. How could he be happy with the game result? Where have I said it, again? All I said was that he was happy with 55 mins and i believe him when he says that. If he wasnt, reports of outrage would have been during halftime, not after the game.

Also this all comes from a man that said our game was shit many many times last year, saying that "it was embarassing" and many other things, so excuse me when I believe when he says he's happy with those 55 mins.
