I have this sneaky feeling that Leao will break-out in his second season, he's still a kid--and he's actually a very nice kid, clean-cut kid, and I think people don't give him credit for that. He doesn't party, he's close to his family, he's a good kid.

I have to admit, I've watched a little bit of Scamacca, and I really like him. He reminds me of Ibra. I'd really love to bring him here.

In this 4231, Kessie is really growing--I think that has to be said. If he continues to grow like this, I think the Bennacer-Kessie pairing looks great.

Gazidis's interview? Meh. Said nothing new, really. We'll see what is what in the summer.

I’d like to start bringing in some proven, veterans at positions of need. For example, it wouldn’t hurt to have an experienced RB to replace the two fuck nut Italians we have. And then I’d like players like Scamacca brought in to rotate with Ibra as you said. That way we are upgrading the quality of the starting XI, our depth, and future prospects all at the same time.

Or just buy Tonali and I’ll be thrilled.

Was it a coup to sell Piatek for 25 mill? I believe we hussled those germans hard.
Probably yes but he's landed at a shit Bundesliga club who are struggling regardless of if he were to score it seems. Leaked 5 today. If he's joined a better team he would've been more likely to show he was worth that much.

He is a one season wonder. That’s all he is worth. He has a terrible attitude will never get close to the potential he showed earlier. He will become decent elsewhere but never the world beater we thought he would be.

I think we need one experienced midfielder and as you say one experienced right back. Don't know who.

In addition to thar Scamacca and a vice Rebic and we're set.

It's fair to say Piatek is worth exactly how much Genoa paid for him

What a profit by them though

We need 5 players for this formation. I don't think ibra will be sticking around next season.

Rb cb cm cam & st if we are to use to this formation in the future.

Ibra gave management/coach& squad a life line.

Scamacca looks talented... Myron Boadu and Donyell Malen from the Dutch league look really good! Boadu is only 19 and scoring / assisting like crazy. It would be nice to have a fast, skillful centre fwd like that which Milan haven't had since Pato.

There are exaggerations sure, but Gazidis’s interview is damage control imo. We’ll know in the summer. That interview wasn’t revealing, but he did admit to having contacts with Rangnick. He gave a long interview that does nothing to end speculation.
Did he? I couldn't find the part? Maybe I missed something.

Anyway of course he's doing damage control. There's no way he could say anything without everyone reading between the lines where there's nothing and drawing conclusions rather based on assumptions than on what's actually been said. One day it's Gazidis doesn't want experience despite us signing experience. One day it's Milan having a pre-agreement with Arnaut despite everyone involved denying. One day it's Milan having a pre-agreement with Rangnik despite Milan denying.

Obviously come summer the picture will be clearer, but I somehow feel that people have already made up their mind and will read into what Gazidis says whatever suits their narrative. Let's see what's next. There are a couple of months to fill before we'll know for sure so the stories will never end.

As for me I think Elliott will still be here next season unless Gazidis didn't straight out lie — possible, but not probable IMO — about Elliotts medium/long-term plans of rebuilding Milan. I wouldn't dismiss the possibility of our management being in constant talk with other coaches and directors — as Gazidis confirmed —, however I think it's not probable that these are ongoing talks with the intention to find the successor of Pioli, Boban and Maldini as per today. However as soon as a journalist picks something up it will be reported and blown out of any dimension, that's a guarantee.

I don‘t necessarily see the point in buying some kids if we already got Leao, who is young, tall and a big talent.

Was it a coup to sell Piatek for 25 mill? I believe we hussled those germans hard.

Overall I‘d say Piatek deal as a whole was ok, we also got a good number of goals out of him and sold him quick enough.

No doubt Elliot can do wonders on business plan. But we will still see if that plan includes sporting success. Gazidis says clearly yes.
I liked the part where he said we won't buy players to resell them on a profit. That's what Atalanta does quite successfully tho but it doesn't go well for a team with our ambitions. I also liked that he again echoed what he already said in the past that buying experienced players to guide the younger ones has always been their goal as long as — and that's the most important key word — still hungry for success.

Meaning: Nope, we won't go full Galliani and buy old players looking for a nice retirement home. Experience will come in form of players like Zlatan who still get pissed after a game we actually won, but weren't able to close way sooner than we should have.

That's the right spirit.

I also liked that he mentioned that the stadium project still has the highest priorities as it should be.

I also kinda liked that he acknowledged that the club is all about his fans, that figures like him, Bobby and Maldini will come and go, but what remains is the club and its fans and that therefore the clubs best is what stands above everything — that's honest and true.

What bothered me is that he talked about the necessity of raising incomings, but other than the stadium project he didn't say how he intends to do so. That's still the big unresolved question mark I have with Gazidis (to a way lesser extent the sportive side of things) where I demand more clarity, more actions and less nice words.

I think another underrated statement was naming Theo and Bennacer as the prototype of transfers we're trying to make in general: getting players who clearly can become among the best in their role in the league — or the world — before their price skyrockets. Topping that with saying that there are many people working on finding those kind of players — maybe a nod to Moncadas work, idk.

He doesn't?
His friends' Instagram stories suggest something else.

I don't really care though as long it's not excessively, because even CristiaNo parties. However Leao is leaving some very worrying signs.

Almstadt is the one Gazidis really wanted at the club. MilanNews had a short article about his increasing influence at Milan a couple of days ago.

Journalists in Switzerland must be the salt of the earth :D. Either that, or I'm too jaded...but to me when he responded with "I have been in football for 26 years, and I have interactions with many people" to the Rangnick question, that to me is a f uc k you answer, but also a tacit admission that talks have taken place. He could have been more categorical about Maldini's and Boban's future.

As for the other stuff, yes, in fact I had written a few weeks ago that the Italian media paints Gazidis as a killjoy and age-obsessed, but I don't think he is that inflexible on the question of buying more experienced players.

I don't think there is a pre-agreement with Rangnick, but there is serious interest.

Reffing aside, pure garbage from pioli.

At this point, gazidis wouldn't be doing his job if he wasn't on the phone with rangnick everyday.

Lol I see no difference in this season than the ones that preceded it. This pattern has been around since 2013.

Awful start to the season >>> a stable 2-3 months >>>> awful end to the season.

It's our version of winterbells.

The posters here never surprise with their myopia though. But that's what makes this whole process entertaining.

Even in those two months we lost points to verona, sampdoria and today against 10 players.

Funny how Inter have hired a top manager and built a title challenging squad despite the lack of a stadium :fp:

At the end of the day it's all about having competent people both on and off the pitch which is why their fortunes suddenly changed after hiring Sabatini + Spalletti followed by Marotta + Conte. Same goes for Lazio and Atalanta and until we get with the programme we deserve to be midtable.

It’s mainly about Income & Equity
In Elliot’s PoV, you cant have a good business model if the situation doesn’t change. Means they will have to inject every year, which of course not a favorable option since there’s now FFP

Inter’s case, maybe Suning is way more generous than Elliot

Merdas case is so obvious it's not even funny. They were as shit as us when hiring managers like Stramaccioni, Pioli, De Boer etc... just like we are shit with mediocre coaches like Seedorf, Inzaghi, Brocchi, Inzaghi, Mihajlovic, Montella, Gatusso, Giampaolo and now Pioli. Shit managers not worthy of a club like Milan, choking under the pressure and implementing their mediocre style of play on our team reflecting on the pitch.

But AS SOON as Merda hired someone like Spaletti, you know a guy who has been consistent during all his years in getting his teams into top 4 and CL and even almost winning a Scudetto with Roma, well surprise surprise he got them into CL. And then with CL they were able to hire a top coach who could continue to build the team even further.

Suning are actually one of Inter's sponsors. They are Inter's training shirt sponsors, as well as sponsors in other areas. They also participate in the same price inflation for players that Juve have been accused of.

Like they sold Pinamonti hihihihi for 18m to Genoa.
