If Elliott dont open up their chequebook even slightly, they can go fuck themselves.

This team has shown that they can take the step to the next level but they are being stretched to their limit and need help.

With an average height of 1.85m (vs Milan's 1.80, minus the GK) for Parma and that their plan was to park several buses right in the middle, Ibra was sorely missed.

To think that Padre thought that Lil Brahim was a good choice for CAM...

We need a back up cb, cm and a striker. Rebic or leao just dont suit doing the job Ibra has. We need a vice ibra- someone like giroud

Problem is, what level of CB do we get. Do we trust Kalulu to grow into the CB role along with Gabbia as backups, with Romagnoli and Kjaer? Or, does he go to his natural RB role and fight with Calabria as to who starts eventually? I.e. give up on a Kabak or Simakan and go for someone happy to be a bench player?

Kabak or Simakan will be fine

Kalulu had a good game but it was only Parma.

The sample size is still too inconclusive

We have a big big problem if Bennacer’s injury is serious. Kessie is one yellow card away from suspension , and we have very tough games coming up.

Sure I agree. That's why I said is it something we can trust him to grow into. Or, go for the option who is more proven. In either case, if Kalulu can play RB and CB to a high level and prove himself against top opposition that's even better for us.

CB, mid and a reserve CF needs to be the minimum additions in January.

This team continues to rely on Ibra. Without him it?s been a struggle every game that can go either way.

It's not so much Ibra as having a true CF. I feel that even with Petagna at CF and Rebic LW we'd have easily won today.

I'll say it again, if we don't have money to bring someone that's proven, get Cutrone on loan with option of like 8m. Kid would do well as backup

And stfu Qaas, don't dare to respond :D

Pioli:

“It remains an off night, as we are having some difficulties, especially Gabbia and Bennacer’s injuries. As for the game, for the first time I’d say we didn’t have the right approach and were a little sluggish. Parma did very well on the counter, we could’ve equalised earlier and didn’t, but this is a team with heart and desire. It’s fine. Clearly, we wanted to win and we had the chances to do so. Parma had two shots on goal, but we also made mistakes on those two goals. We weren’t as sharp in the second half, but that can happen when you are putting so much spirit into the chase, throwing men into the box and trying to get it back on track.”

“Parma deserve credit for making the most of their forwards, who have a lot of pace and are good at one-on-one situations. However, on the first goal, there’s clearly more of us in the box than Parma players, yet we got hunched up and didn’t cover the spaces. We had a lot of chances and should’ve scored earlier, it might’ve been a different game if we had, but it remains a genuine positive step forward in terms of mentality and character to get this back on track.”

Pioli was asked about whether his team are beginning to feel the affects of fatigue with such a rigorous schedule.

“I think the team is in good shape, both physically and mentally. I wouldn’t blame the Europa League, as I changed practically all the players on Thursday, so they can’t have been tired because of that. I don’t think we’ll have much time during the Christmas break to put some fuel in the tank in training, especially as we’ve got Juventus and Atalanta straight after the restart. It’ll be useful to rest more mentally than physically for a few days.”

Would Pioli sign on the dotted line if offered fourth place now?

“Milan haven’t been in the Champions League for a long time, it’s only right that the team is ambitious and proved it can fight it out with everyone, so we just have to continue like this. The only thing I would sign is a new contract!”

Won't be disappointed. Just one of those games, unlucky not to score earlier. Injuries hurt more, hope it's nothing bad. Would be nice to have a fully fit squad available for once.

CL is more than achievable at this rate, anything else is a bonus. Good spirit to see us fight through the pressure when 2-0 down to tie the game given how unlucky we'd been prior. Never gave up.

Go get Manzdukic in January like you did with Ibra last year.

What?s more disappointing about this result is the starters were essentially all rested midweek and they looked a bit flat.

Haven't watched much of Napoli, but I see that Petagna has 3 goals in 235 min. Not too bad for a backup

Beats signing a player for the sake of signing.

Cutrone will be fucking useless for the way we play.

We need a CF who can have a stronger presence in the box.

Someone like Giroud or Mandzukic.

Milik could be a decent option if Napoli are not cunts about it.

If anyone, the team relies most on Kjaer, I am sure Parma would have had more difficulty scoring those two goals if he were playing.

Sky: It’s feared that Bennacer has sustained a muscle strain and could be set for a long stop

Sandro time.

Hopefully they don’t wait around to make moves in January and have them ready to go. Probably midfield might be the most important purchase to make ASAP if Bennacer is out for a little bit. Tonali or Kessie pick up suspensions or injuries and the midfield is suddenly shit.
