Don't know your definition of miracle, but for me if someone looks like shit in good teams like Dortmund and Sevilla at his prime (24-25 years old) and then can't stop scroing is a miracle

Your skewed perception makes it difficult for me to know how to approach this

Players enter their prime at different age
Immobile is one of the most consistent performers in Serie A for quite some time. When exactly did the miracle happen? When he showed that he could continue to score a lot in Serie A?

So he had a couple of bad spells abroad...even some champions have had that

You can say this until you are blue in the face, people will always come up with scenarios completely disconnected from our financial reality. It happens like every 6 posts.

How is the italian forum these days?

I'm longing for a Milan game. PSG really are looking the strongest out there now.

The fact that you guys said yes to Bernadeschi & Belotti convinced me that quality is not important as long the dude is Italian.

Bro's working hard to convince you that Lapadula wasn't crap :proud:

Do have a serious question though - other than Milan who has been seriously linked to Belotti over the past 3-5 years?

If he was not a Milan fan would anybody on here actually care to see him here?

othe clubs are doing deep analysis, some are using science, AI, and extensive scouting in order to find new mbappe, new messi, new haaland, new ronaldo.

Meanwhile here we are, believing that Belotti will be the new Marco Van Basten by simply just moving to this club.

What's with the hate on Belotti?

He had two very strong seasons and has always scored double digits for a shit team. Very strong hold-up-play, two good feet, very physical, strong head game.

It's like every strong Serie A striker is a new Piatek or Matri. Belotti deserves a different consideration, even from Frederick the younger.

And it's fucking hard to sign a striker. Belotti behind Ibra sounds like a good idea to me. Where are the suggestions of beegees and Cruijffs illegimate son? Nowhere.

I actually think Belotti would be a real asset for Pep's City.

Argument it.

no need to argue. Pep will give you the job on the spot.

yup its quite blatant anti milanism
and if it was calabria or rebic he wouldve had the same response

:fp:

he is extremely limited player...pep plays team football even the keeper is expected to link up midfielders
belotti is way too limited/non footballish for pep..he wouldnt even play under him

pep would prefer a 10 million augero clone over him

Conte: 'Scudetto too important for aesthetics'

This is why he is never welcome at Milan!

Well I think some are weary because we had Gilardino, Pazzini, Matri, Lapadula, Piatek - to just overlook that when the player in question is not a soloist extraordinaire like our class strikers of old is being very naive

Name me a better option than Belotti within our current framework.

I'd argue Belotti isn't very similar to any of those flop strikers.

Why is he so limited?

he can 2 things decently well
-hold up ball decently well
-score

hes a midget so he will never head vs good tall defenders wich is all in cl pretty much ..(luckily pep is not a long ball guy he pref to outplay the enemy)

he cant dribble
doesnt have above average first touch
isnt a great passer or creativity or anything
not slow not fast

its way too limited...imo hes good where he is...serie a midtable

Dusan Vlahovic.

Maybe, I like him better as well. But a signing like that gives me bigger Piatek vibes than Belotti.

Please read my initial posts on the subject.

You also dodged my initial question and then attributed the "hate" by quoting my post. I have no clue who others are, I have not offered up any great alternatives - I have just expressed why persons wouldnt be keen on us buying him.

A few weeks ago I stated I liked Darwin Nunes's game and VS rightly pointed out he was surely out of our bracket. If Belotti is all we can purchase then I hope he is a hit but I cant tell you I'm thrilled because I dont believe history is in his favour and that hard working game that does well in lower teams doesnt always translate when you play in better teams and the opposition now play you differently.

The only Juve player I'd like is Kulusevski. If Juve are interested in a deal involving him, I'm down. If not they can fuck off.

very true..
most of belottis opponent are either same level or higher so he plays vs teams that attack...to do that in cl hes not good enough

and for serie a he will face alot of teams parking the bus wich will obliterate a player like belotti...not torino anymore

Well, during the season where Cairo placed the 100m price tag on him plenty of clubs were interested. None followed through, and after that I can barely remember being seriously linked with him.

We don't have to go into urban epistemology here, but "hate on" is not "hate" and it was meant more as a general defense of Belotti as a player, as too many two cent posters(not you) are just swinging by slinging shit at a player who hardly deserves hate.

I'm not a big Belotti fan boy, buy signing him for 20m this summer(given that we make CL) would in my opinion be an extremely shrewd move because he would complement our play and create depth with Ibra. When the wheels keep rolling and Leao look even better a year from now Belotti could either continue his great reign or see bench behind a new marquee striker.

We don't have to sign the new franchise name this summer. We need goals and usefulness in our tactical setup.

I'd prefer Vlahovic to Belotti actually, but the former will be very expensive and the latter has a better idea of what he's doing.

I think comparing Belotti to Gilardino, Pazzini, Piatek etc is missing the beat. He's a different player, more aggressive, more tactically aware, and a strong finisher. But hey, I guess we don't need one.

I actually don't think we'll sign either(Vlahovic or Belotti), it's just cheap reporting. This will be an important challenge for Paolo, it will be very interesting to see how he(and Massara and Moncada) attack the CF role from a fresh perspective.

Ibra was "easy".
