Superlega, Il Messaggero: "Serie A doesn't want to kick out Juve, Milan and Inter"

"Serie A does not want to kick out Juve, Milan and Inter", headlines the newspaper Il Messaggero. Will the clubs that join the Super League be excluded from the 2021/2022 championship? Today the proposal will have to be voted on by the UEFA congress, even if the Nyon lawyers hold back on the matter. Yesterday A's assembly was very heated, the most angry were Ferrero and Preziosi, as well as Urbano Cairo. Silence of Lotito and De Laurentiis, with Agnelli, however, seemed very calm. The Juventus number one has repeatedly reiterated that he wants to finish the championship and want to continue playing Serie A. And there is no will on the part of the League to expel the three dissidents. It should not be underestimated that DAZN recently bought the TV rights for 840 million euros: a lawsuit would be triggered immediately.

There will be huge compromises, more compromises to come.
ESL organizers will make uefa bow down, because uefa put wat too much money in their pocket.

Hilairous that everyone thought the arab money in the game was going to kill it off. It's the yanks that have done it this time. Shitty closed structure I couldn't give a toss about basketball or baseball or their league models. Oh well at least we are part of it

Playing for Borussia Monchengladbach since 2019/20, Swiss international striker Breel Embolo (24), according to express.de, has been targeted by AC Milan. Former Schalke and FC Basel hitman is currently on a deal with German club until June 2023, and is roughly worth 14 million euros.

He any good?

Lol @ defending a current system that is corrupt to the core.

Uefa humiliated us for many years but cool let's forget it and defend their rules so we can watch them destroy us like they did against arsenal and that greek side.

ikr

Also all the controversy with Fifa and Qatar.

Now someone is doing something against it and people go against them.

As reported by the Corriere della Sera on newsstands, the entry form is also tempting for clubs in favor of the Superlega. Just under 300 million each financed by JP Morgan. But they cannot be spent on the transfer market and player engagement. Only for infrastructure and to cover the damage caused by Covid.

As reported by the GDS, if Milan, Juve and Inter were to be excluded, Serie A could restart from a championship to 18 teams and 2 relegations. The other hypothesis: a 20-team tournament with 3 promotions from B and no relegations. But DAZN should say yes to far fewer races.

Repubblica: if the measures were immediate, so with Milan, Inter and Juve immediately out of Serie A, it would be Atalanta - Napoli for the championship. But to date there are no certainties about it.

The elite of Europe playing a tournament ... its almost torture no

Elite  12 founding clubs from 3 countries and 6 are from PL.

Manure, Milan, Arsenal, Totenham arent even in the CL and havent been for a while. No Bayern or PSG.

Great Elite that is...an elite that cant even qualify properly for a world class competition. No fucking thanks.

The last sentence is what makes the most sense.

If Clownetino Perez cared about football he could have called big clubs and agree:

Lets say “For next 5 years we’ll set max price we pay for a player to 30 or 50M, then we all agree to cut agent fees and such things until Covid crisis is over”

Its funny that Perez talks about the crisis that he created himself. Who increased players prices and salaries in a way like “I can pay and buy what I want” ?

Florentino did, since the time of Ronaldo and Kaka. He created a monopoly for 5 years. And City, PSG, Chelsea joined this competition of big money. Italian clubs were not able (apart of Juve recently) this forced Berlusconi & Moratti to sell clubs since they were no longer able to compete with them.

Real Madrid earned 700M per year, more than any club. Milan only earned 200M. Now that things are no longer working for Real Madrid, its “now lets take the Europe away from small clubs so we can earn more to continue to lead”

That's what they are doing with the SL.

They had an administrative body in the UEFA that didn't do shit apart from taking money, so know they figured out that they also don't need to pay them and can do it themselves.

UEFA have had plenty of time to resolve issues such as the ever-increasing player fees, salaries, agent fees, etc etc. What have they done? Let certain clubs spend what they want, while punishing others. Rigging and selling tournaments, selling themselves to the highest bidder. They get what they deserve in the end that someone is willing to take a stand even if it's on the extreme. Why help clubs when they can pay themselves off? If that's the stance they've taken, rightly so that these bigger clubs who are giving them the majority of their viewership/money/whatever it is stand up.

Whatever the reservations, now that the teams have come out in the open, I hope they take it all the way, and we start in August. The more time that goes by between announcement and official kick-off the more chances for cold feet, especially after the backlash. No climbdowns, no backpedaling. Let's move ahead. With so many relationships soured or severed, I find it difficult that these clubs would be welcomed back into the fold without resentment.
