I read the buy back is 80 mil. There is v little chance they would do 40 m and 55 mil buyback. There would would huge possible downside and comparatively hardly any possible upside to that.

The Roma transfers aren't necessarily the best, especially with all these cheaper transfers available from France & Belgium. But it's interesting to see how their ownership is more willing to spend.

Yeah, losing Dzeko is a loss, though Mayoral was decent last season. Mourinho is also hit or miss.

Buti t's good for them that the ownership isn't being stingy like Elliott seems to be. Lets see if Elliott gives the funds for Vlasic, Adli and a good RW. But so far it's not looking that good.

Dzeko will be very good. He had problems with management of Roma last season. You know, they don't treat older players that good (ex. De Rossi). But from Lukaku to Dzeko, that is too much. Even if they get Zapata.
But I agree, I think that Giroud will be better this season. He has better mentality, winning one, and first time after many years he will be a starter in a team (or at least play most of the minutes)

Between Ollie g and ibrah I think they will get 40 goals this season if they remain fit enough. Our management got that for basically free. And we wstill question whether our management are making the correct decisions. Maldini was one of the best players of all time. It looks like he may well be one of the best directors as well.

Lol settle down…Maldini hasn?t put a foot wrong so far this mercato in terms of players signed (including transfer fees) but the litmus test for me will be the signings of AM, RW + 3rd CF. Last year, we had the 5th best attack in the league and Hakan contributed 14 goals/assists whereas Samu registered only 2 so both positions are in serious need of an upgrade. Also, Ibra scored 15 times before breaking down and given that both him and Oli G are in their late 30s we also need a capable 3rd CF to share the load. IMO how Maldini solves these three problems will determine the success of the season and whether he?s the next big thing in football Management or just hype.

They sold Piatek for 27 mil ( 6 mil loss) and Paqueta for around 22 mil (16 mil loss). They also sold Suso for 20 mil, Locatelli for 13 mil, Hauge for 12 mil, Cutrone for 20 mil, Djalo for 5 mil.

And if you look at this summer & last then the spending for 2 summers is v low. Most of the spending was in the first winter mercato where they bought Piatek and Paqueta. After that mercato the spending has been v little. And this year there is no FFP either.
