Yes we're covering his full 3.7m salary for a year but we paid nothing up front for the loan. Also don't forget the growth decree which means we'll actually pay less on his wages due to tax saved

buyout is there and its not there by accident - they will want to redeeem him if he does well, but unless he exploded i cant see him getting the same wage if he does stay on. sure that was explained to him

You never know. With Gerry officially taking over today, it could also mean an increase in the salary cap. Dests salary may look huge compared with the others now, but once the revenues start coming in, it may be considered peanuts compared to what we raise our starters wages to over the next 3 to 5 years.

I remember that specifically. I was mad that Florenzi didn’t make that forward run. Not only was he not making a run forward, he was out of position somewhere near the center of the field just walking.

We didn’t show grinta yesterday. Nobody took responsibility in attack. Only Mike, Kjaer, Tomori and Theo deserved some praise for helping us keep a clean sheet. With a fit Ibra, we would have won yesterday. He would have let them all know how shit they were offensively.
Maybe at that time he already knew something wrong with his leg

Maybe that's because we are actually moving to a 4312 formation and therefore may not really need a right winger afterall. There are multiple reports that we have been trying it out during training
More than 2 years Pioli on charge here
Not once he start with other than 4231

Its not about how you start, it's about how your players move around the pitch during the match.
the 4231 is just a starting formation.
We've ended games with 4 Forwards on the pitch before.

He's reviving the primavera with talented youngsters and thinking that in 3 years time all these kids will be considered "Milan-homegrown"

Probably

I was more upset with Messias going to the middle when there were already two other players and the striker and Tonali not making moves to lose / draw their defenders away to open up angles. We made it really easy for them to defend us.

Roger Federer is the GOAT
According to some of my Barcelona fans friends they said Dest isn’t that good offensively and fits better at RB. I’m not that convinced from the very little I’ve watched him offensively but he can defend well and has good defensive awareness. But with his money and wages, it doesn’t make sense for him to be a backup RB solely right? I hope he’s tried as RW, I know he played there before.

But then again he’s only 21, he can still develop offensively. But I want to ask you guys, you like this signing? Do you think he can develop as a RW for those that watched him more extensively.

I’ll trust Maldini’s judgment and see how it goes. I have faith in the work, I hope it works out

He might be tried as RW competing with Salad and Messias and can be played as emergency FB, seems like he got good dribbling skills and can cause chaos for opponent's defense, something that Messias was brought in to do. Also seem like he would offer the high work rate Pioli seems to demand from this position. And trying him at RW to see if we utilize his work rate while avoid exposing his poor positioning.

He's young and has shown promise in the past, most importantly, Barca was desperate enough to agree to a loan with option.

At the very least, when Salad and Messias are both looking meh, we at least have a younger player who can switch it up.

We should try to sell FBT now since he had suitors

Dest can be the cover for LB too when needed

Dest is really good on the ball whenever he plays for the US, and was really good going forward at Ajax (not as sure at Barca).

I think he is really talented, and the fact that he can play both sides is huge.

Not sure how to attach this video, but he scored a great goal for the US last year-

Dest is a much better option than I would have expected at this late stage. Really great piece of business with huge upside like virtually all MMM deals. No brainer from a marketing standpoint too.

The one I'm lowkey excited about is Vrancx. So many new faces now that it's almost confusing.

Exciting times ahead. Haven't seen Dest much but I remember how hyped he was while signing for Barca. Hopefully he can bring some excitement to the right side.
