50-60 k stadium, with outdoor area large enough for 20k more people to watch the match on big screen in case stadium sold out.

bigger capacity requires higher maintenance cost

Why build a 50k seater if we're averaging 70k fans per match?
70k average attendance is for winning season like now. when milan enter normal period (when milan qualify for CL every year, but not winning any trophy for example), I think average attendance will be 50k.

50-60k stadium if milan build alone,
But if milan & inter decide to build stadium together, then 70-80k stadium is okay.

I dont think our attendance will fall under 60k even against shitters..lets not limit oursevles with small stadiums

A very important match tonight. We can not give Napoli the impression that they can fight for the title. We have to bring them back to reality.

Leao has become a very important player for us. It doesn't feel good to face Napoli without him, but tonight it will be the time for others to stand up. I hope Charlemagne can be the bridge between midfield and attack. Saele to continue his CL form in Serie A.

I think that the idea of 50k capacity is just ridiculous. We are giants and we should play in a grand stadium. Why would we build a smaller stadium while we're enjoying success? We're on the rise. 70k should be the absolute minimum.

That could lead to UEFA investigations, right?
No issue in playing our kids in our official B team.
Why? We own a player and send him on loan to another club. There's nothing illegal in this. Or the player can be bought by Toulouse, play there 2-3 seasons and then be bought by Milan for a reasonable price. Like Szobo and Sesko and their transfers from Salzburg to Leipzig.

Or something like this, give CDK freedom to roam wherever he wants.

That looks killer.

That looks....reactive.
That looks like something Allegri would field.
That looks like banter era desperate attempt to find a solution when plan A and B aren't working.

We're not in banter era anymore.
We're not in a desperate situation where the only thing we could do is to throw shit at the wall to see what sticks.

Leao is an important but not irreplaceable player.
We didn't need him to beat Atletico in Madrid last year, or Napoli at San Paolo in 2020, and we don't need him to beat Napoli at San Siro.

Leao is also not the reason Pioli has remained with 4231 since February 2020, a time when Leao was just a fringe player.
Pioli has showed flexibility and ability to get results without needing to jump from one FIFA-formation to another like some Stramacioni.
The "4231" can be determined and shaped by the qualities of the players, more than the other way around.
This is what Pioli is referring to.
With Krunic on the left flank, it's more of a 3 man midfield or flat 4. We lose Leao's lethality, but gain numbers in the midfield and cover for Theo's runs and Brahim's advanced position.
With Saele and Messias we try to make up for quality through quantity and defensive solidity.
They won't get past defenders as often as Leao, but their defensive work allow more attempts.
Also, I think the left flank is optimal for Saele, who's right-footed, if the goal is to get more goals out of him.

We literally have an average attendance of 70k+ now.

Building a 50k stadium is just illogical.
The cheapest tickets against Chelsea were 89 EUR. Many tickets above 350 EUR. Just imagine the amount of money we will pocket. Easily around 7-8 m from just 1 game. 50k stadium means that the club won't account some major money and thousands of fans won't be able to attend games. Even during peak banter era we had around 35k people on the stadium. 50k makes zero sense.

we're playing a formation that sees alexis out of position (tho he did well there last season, cuz he's a stud), and only messias covering for calabria v kvara.

and NO backup wingers. none. unless krunic and diaz will be used there.

there are times a formation change is needed. pioli even SAID IT in his presser, that he was gonna use a 352 (or close) v Samp.. and didnt. he's had 2 weeks to implement a better formation w what we have available, and he didn't.

he either has massive balls, or is too far up his own ass at the moment.

regardless.... 1pt minimum, 3pts likely.

Calabria alone against Kvara is suicidal. Davide struggles against good dribblers and this guy is pretty good. Either Alexis in front of him to help or 3 ATB with Calabria upfront with Kalulu behind him.

It's pretty unrealistic to expect a formation change on 3 days notice because one player is out. Not to mention a 3 at the back kills the aggressive press principles, it's ideal for killing off games but too drastic a shift to start with

I would like to see Kjaer starting for this one and Kalulu shifting to RB to lock down Kvara but that's unlikely

Think we'll just see the regular team and formation with someone a bit more defensive at LW allowing Theo to go forward more. Hopefully not Krunic, he's terrible on the wing

50k is small. But 60k financially makes sense. They’ll raise prises for tickets and with smaller maintenance cost it will be even more profitable

I want us to have a B team in Serie B/C.. like Real Madrid Castilla.. the kids could be moulded in our own system and the competition is better than Primavera.
Now we are at the mercy of other clubs to play our on-loan players.
What if they end up earning promotion all the way. How does it work for Castilla.

In all honesty, I would prefer a 80-90k stadium. Football is for the fans, and the biggest derbies should be played in front of as much fans as possible. Can you imagine a derby where 90k Milanista brothers would chant Interista vaffanculo? 50k stadium when we averaging more than 70k now is small club mentality. It is what Juve did with their shitty ass 40k small site they dare to call a stadium. We are AC Milan, one of the biggest and most prestigious clubs in the world, and we deserve a stadium that represents our grandness. Also think that selling 20-30k more tickets in 6-8 games a year should offset the higher maintenance cost. The only real advantage of a smaller stadium is that it is easier to sold out versus fodders like Empoli or Salernitana, and it is more appealing to watch it in TV. That is also a reason why EPL is so successful, as other than Old Trafford, the big clubs there have fodder level stadiums capacity vise.

Expect to see a lot more of Theo tonight. He's always a lot more free when playing with Rebic, since he knows Rebic can cover for him. Should be the same (maybe more) if it's Krunic or Saelemaekers at LW.

The summer markets were fun tho lol

Galliani stalking Destro outside his apartment, fighting with Inter over Kondogbia, or talking to agents while on his bike
I miss old Serie A. Lunatic owners and class players like Di Natale and Luca Toni.
Of course we were shit and complete mess but some weird way I anticipate some matches more then than I do now  Never knew what kind of fuckery would happen

A modern 69k stadium with top facilities, hotels, cafes, bars, restaurants, media facilities, offices etc etc...

And no Messias to start... Play the fucking Christmas tree, use the players we have in suitable positions rather than trying to fit square pegs into round holes.

Play Salad alongside Charles behind the striker, tell him to drift right and cut off some space on the right and support Calabria... Allowing Ben and Pobega to move into space ahead when countering.

surely we've trained other formations for the event of losing players???!!!

My take on things discussed from the last couple pages 💪

Forza Milan, itsssssssssss GAME DAY 🤘
