50 m + sales is not that bad. Salad, Pobega, Messias, FBT and Rebic can be sold for 30-35 m in total. Actually could be much more if they start performing like professional players. Pessina will bring 7.5 m. Colombo can be sold for 7-8 m (hopefully with buy-back). With a little imagination we can have 100+ m. Cashing in on CDK is also not excluded. Despite him flopping he is still sellable for 20-22 m easily.

I didn't have much time to read twitter these days. Please someone confirm a couple of things:
1. Did Theo really say that the bald genius is killing them in training or this was another fake news?
2. Are we seriously in for this Chilean kid? For the Primavera or he can perform for the first team?

Last summer it was 35 mil plus sales. If they sell Salad, Pobega, Messia, FBT, Rebic then they have to get 2 new RWs, 2 new FBs, a new LW, 2 CMs, a new striker, a new CD, a new AM ( or buy Diaz ). That's around 10 players! With 85 mil, that around 8.5 mil per new player! Just a one decent striker will cost 25-35 mil. A good CD will be at least 20 mil. That's 50 mil just on a striker and a CD!

They wouldn't spend the level that Chelsea is spending! But there is a big space in between Redshit spending and Chelsea spending.

And the stadium, it seem Sesto arms are "wide open"!
Only team that's "spending" in Italy was Juve, and look at them.

Let's hope that's true for the stadium

Because there's a bigger margin to make if you succeed, even if the risk is higher.

Serie A is a mismanaged and undervalued league.

There are challenges, but there is a lot of American money going into Serie A, but I also think that's because it's a league that permits private ownership of the clubs you'd want to buy. You can't buy clubs in Germany (50+1 rule), you can't buy clubs in Spain, Ligue 1 is a mess, so Italy is all that you have left.

The infrastructure problems are what held back English clubs in the 80s and 90s, and once they made things more corporate and family friendly, there were complaints from Roy Keane and the atmosphere in England sucks, but it helped drive a huge stream of revenue mixed with a collective approach from the clubs to unite maximize their power. Barca and Real do this, meanwhile Serie A teams actively sabotage each other.

Italy needs to wake the fuck up, or they will fall further behind.
100%, but you think the good ole' boys of Italy care about how the league is going vs. their own interest?

I agree with you on all points, but looks like biggest spenders see these obstacles as large ones.

We already have Maignan, Theo, Kalulu, Tomori, Bennacer, Tonali, Leao. 7 young players that are guaranteed to start. We need to buy 2-3 a little more expensive players (25-30 m), the rest can be filled in kids or free transfers.

AC Milan have been pushing to try and bring forward the signing of Noah Raveyre but Saint-Etienne continue to reject their bids

The Rossoneri have €40-50m available for the 2023 summer transfer window. It’s just as much as last summer when they signed Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge for €32m plus add-ons.
so in fact it looks like we totally NEED to sell players to make money to buy. at least if we want better reinforcements than last summer.

If cancelo was a cb, I would take him for leao+money. Shame his position isn’t the first or second priority for us. World class player.

Is it impossible to get the top 2? No. But management must act smart, unfortunately we do opposite..images (44).jpeg

One should wonder why a player with Zaniolos medical background and injury history still is worth >30M. It's a gamble I think Gerry is rightfully very hesitant to take (if that narrative is to be believed).
Forget injury record and just look at production and temperament.

Sure he may explode but more likely may become Cassano ...without the incredibly good moments.

I would say buy the cheap South American winger(s) now and wait out Roma if you truly believe in Zaniolo

Italian prosecutors probe AC Milan's 1.2 bln euro sale

It's old news. I only brought it up because the way I read the full article it seems to be a dispute between Blue Skye and Elliott eventhough the article explicitly says that no specific people or companies are under investigation and that Italy's tax police is "only" requesting documents from accountants and advisers involved in the deal.

I think some medias just wanted to make some clicks on a nice headline...

According to Sky Sport, Kjaer should be alongside Tomori with Sassuolo, while Krunic should be with Tonali #Milan

it's absolutely the way to go. every top club sells (important) players. rafa, theo, bennacer, tomori, kalulu will bring serious/decent money. it's either player sales or 40-50mil mercato budget. don't hope for investments vb, cuz B&G days are over.

So basically when Theo or Leao or Bennacer can't start, you have kids / free transfers starting? Sort of like Tata for Maigan but spread out to all the positions?!
