They're not going to invest this summer. There might be another 20-30m signing and the rest will be to plug the holes. People wanted this team to follow Liverpool's trajectory and this was the year to do so. With proper investments in the summer and winter, we could have fought for another league title and be in the CL final. Unfortunately this year could be a step back if we don't reach CL. They didn't invest last summer and they certainly won't this one.

Wait. He came up with Parma and has been in Italy for a while now. Also, does it make a difference if he is in the Primavera or the first team to get homegrown status?

Homegrown status is for all players who came from academies in Italy. Max we can have 4 of those designated to those spots. Currently for us it is Florenzi, Mirante, Tonali.
Club-trained players for us are Pobega, Gabbia, Calabria.
Max we can have 4 Homegrown and 4 Club trained players on our UCL list (total 25 players, so 17 foreigner slots). IF we don't have enough players to fill out our Homegrown/Club trained spots, we LOSE those spots for the season. UEFA don't allow us to put in extra foreigners to cover for those spots.
That's why we absolutely need 4 of each type in order to not reduce our squad to compete in the UCL.

Currently, if memory serves me right, our UCL squad for this season is 22 or 23 players because we didn't have enough Homegrown/Club trained players.

We definitely could have used those slots for rotation purposes this season.

We were always the better Milan club in CL. We dunked on them in CL derbies. In 2005 we had that for us. It was a beautiful.

Like you know whenever Inter got the better of us in the league, we could always look at our CL derbies and CL titles and just shut them up.

Of course we have more CLs but I don’t really like living in the past. That’s the part that hurts the most for me.

I also really don’t want to play EL next season. Frankly losing to Inter has kinda ruined this whole CL campaign for me.

If we lost to a team like Madrid or even City in the SF for example, I can say, it’s expected. We should be proud of yourself. Won’t take this SF away from us.

But losing to Inter? A side that lets be honest, isn’t supposed to be this much superior than us. Our big rivals. It sucks no matter what.

Disappointing but Milan won’t free fall again this defeat is tough and if Milan miss out out on the top four this shouldn’t affect the project.

However there are players who need to go and others who have been misused. 3 huge games remain and Milan will need to redeem themselves even if it means 5th place.

Banish Messias to the bench and in the summer the exit door along with a couple of other highly ineffective squad players.

Gerry and RedBird need to back MMM so they can genuinely strengthen the first team and squad depth . Also they can bring in a manager who will utilise the players he has and not repeat the same errors time after time in player use and tactical strategy.

Just look at their striker options. Lukaku was poor in the start. He picked form in the last two months. Lautaro is scoring for fun. Dzeko is useful. Look at their defender option. They have proper defenders, mind you they are playing without their best defender Skriniar for most part of the season. Bastoni is best young Italian defender. Onana have become one of the best goalkeepers .Dimarco playing great ,and was revelation of the season for them. Our real advantage is that world class left side.
