One of the reasons I was so confident going into the season is that I expected growth and frankly a step up across the board from all of our young players that had just won the Scudetto.

That just didn’t happen. Almost across the board we stagnated or regressed.

Was it just a terrible job by Pioli? Was it due to the pressure of being champions? Were the squad’s weaknesses exposed with the loss of Kessie and poor transfer market? Yes, I think is the answer.

I believed in the squad and Pioli until the bitter end. I had watched this squad win under extreme pressure 2 seasons in a row… I kept waiting for the run to start… in a way, just like Pioli, who I think believed eventually “his boys” would put it all together and go on the type of run we’ve seen the last 3 seasons. It never happened.

last season we should've given Kessie what he wanted when we had the chance. instead, we negotiate, and then we were too late.
Kessie renewal, would be much more cost effective than buying the replacement (Charles de Ketelare).
I hope we are not too late for Leao's renewal.

Stefano Pioli furious with Simon Kjaer. The Dane had been called up to replace Malick Thiaw, who had muscle fatigue, but was delayed in warming up and taking off his shirt.
Pioli returned him to the bench and activated Kalulu

I dont know if this is true but if it is then sell him he should be example for everyone, not acting like a kid.
If true that's the last two CL matches he has been acting like a little bitch.

Where is my boy @brkshire hathaway after the match ?

I could use some balance sheet financial pick-me-ups right now.
Leave the boy alone. After worshipping Pioli for years he had a painful fall back to reality.

Bruh if Bennacer was fit we wouldn’t see the shitshow we saw tonight from Diaz :o

It was literally the worst performance I’ve seen from a Milan player this Diaz. Diaz was 1/10.

Yes we need to invest but I’m talking about current players
Bennacer could've done something maybe but he has been subpar at the AM spot too.

Your post is pure copium but at times like these surely permitted.:proud:

I think Inter would have dominated him physically as well.

The strength difference between the 2 squads was incredible.

The amount of times I read “I’m done” or “I’m done if” posts…you’re a grown ass man…if you want to take a break or quit do it already. What do you want? A fucking parade?

He’s just coping and is doing it here cause he probably doesn’t have Milan fans irl so is using the forum to cope or get some sympathy or use it as a venting tool.

But yes we know, most people will not take a break. They just say this stuff based on the heat of the moment but most of the time they’ll come and see the next Milan match. Typical fans stuff.

I do feel terrible at the moment but I’m 100% sure I’ll be out there live commenting the match with Sampdoria or watching it on footyfull.

This doesn’t feel banter era to me, I still have quite a lot of hope to get out of this situation, provided we have a good Mercato and the right decisions are made at management level.

We would have lost 100% the tie I’ve no doubt but maybe he could have scored one goal (Diaz chance I see him scoring) at least and not lose 0-3.

If there's really a thing called "I'm done" in here, surely this forum has been shut down long time ago 😂

Not only we lost to fucking Hakan. We actually lost in an embarrassing way now everyone knew we fluked our way to top 4 in CL. We are way below that level. Pioli has to go, no other choice.

too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini

I was thinking as the season progressed players would grow into the team (not necessarily set the league on fire but make gradual/steady progress) and I was hoping that Pioli would appreciate the players and their skill sets more as the season progressed.

Using those skill sets tactically and efficiently. This for me has been the most frustrating part of all of this.

No one is exclusively to blame the blame for the shortcomings of this season are on everyone across the board from the very top Gerry and RedBird to MMM to Pioli to the players themselves.

Losing to inter in the CL semis in the fashion Milan have is difficult to accept but Milan must step up the plan making the changes that are needed to move up a level.

Having said that reaching the CL semis was a great accomplishment. They should be proud of it. However the manner of the exit should be used as an incentive to give their all and to challenge the coach when they do not agree with the tactics. Or a player and their role in the team.

This season is successful on one hand yet disappointing on another it could be a catalyst for Milan looking to accelerate things and make a serious effort to step up a level. Player wise and tactically but they need to keep the core of what has worked, give more time to players who didn’t get a fair showing or have been misused and lose the players who even with game time in a role they have always played just fell flat.

If they can get this close with the current squad a step up in quality could see them push their boundaries further. I hope they regroup and redeem themselves in the last 3 games. Hopefully along with other results they manage to claim fourth. If it comes down to the whole juve thing fair enough not ideal but call it a stroke of good fortune.

Milan can rise above the dissatisfaction of this seasons outcome.

Surely Pioli will be fired right by the way? At least end of the season?

No reason to keep him in. CL was the last thing keeping him in.

I 100% want him out and I ain’t changing my mind. For me I said if he can win CL I’ll keep him but without it, I 100% want him to leave. If possible as soon as possible.

This is same line of reasoning Messias played 76 minutes today, with him visibly looking done by the 55-60th minute or so.

Yeah Bennacer would have shot at the goal keeper . He is the hottest midfielder in scoring that’s a fair point .
Shit I wish he was there as a scorer god what a garbage squad formation.

Who in the right mind starts Diaz at cam it was a sabotage. He was surrounded by monsters poor Diaz.

Berlusconi would have fired the coach before the game after seeing the lineup like he slapped pigheaded Leo after his debacle in cl. We are like a household without a father. Maldini was supposed to be a shark .

Depends.

If Pioli decides to fuck Spezia by losing to Hellas Verona and have another stinker against Sampdoria, I can see all the good graces being gone and the management not willing to risk an implosion next season and fire him right away.

So far I see both de Zerbi and Conte as unrealistic. Italiano is just as big of a risk. Pioli's extension is another financial mistake we could have avoided...unforced errors across the board.

He was attacking in last few games not doing his useless caressing. He had couple of bombs compared to other assholes. Shit he was doing good. Fuck me

God I am so mad . All Milan fans who hated galliani should suffer in hell problem is we have to suffer with those assholes. What a piss poor squad construction is this?

I don’t know who can guide us? Maldini will keep padre if we qualify for cl. I hope we qualify and get some ex players like sheva or pirlo. I like Stefano he was crazy with his squad selection.

Can these three remaining matches hurry up and be done with once and for all? Can’t remember ever wanting a season to be over with as much as I want this one to. Gonna root for the team in these remaining fixtures. It sucks that it’s not in our hands and even worse that even if the clubs above us finish the season poorly, we surely won’t capitalize given the way we’ve wasted so many opportunities this season.

I fear that we will move backwards under Redbird. We were cruising under elliott and the scudetto was the crown jewel. Cardinale will probably give us the bare minimum this summer. He’s a hands off guy and is content with having his name and his fund’s name attached to Milan. Hopefully, I’m wrong. I don’t think Redbird have the best intentions for our club.

I would say C+ if we reach CL

Right now C- and we haven’t shown up for class in a month and have a tricky final exam we need to ace.
Honestly if we get top 4, it’s a clean A for me, purely in terms of sporting and commercial results. I know we didn’t win a trophy but the commercial platform this run has given us is huge.

That being said it drops to a C- if we miss CL. Still hoping on that Juve fine, but we need to finish 5th and within 9 points of Juve first

That Porto coach Conceicao impressed me in CL. I think he has been consistent enough in the past few years to be considered a legit candidate.
