15mil is 1/3 of our budget.
I prefer we buy one 50mil player/season than three 15mil ala Diaz.
Adding one quality player/season should have been the case since two years.

But come on , 15mil with Moncada scouting should for sure get us players better than Diaz who shouldnt cost more than 5mil.
City are laughing their ass off with Real caughing 20mil five years ago.
Do you think I want to buy Brahim based on the post you are replying to?

Yes, Moncada does get us those types of players, they're named Adli, Thiaw, and Vranckx, and Pioli doesn't play them.

City bought Brahim, too, so not sure why they're laughing?

Also 20m is nothing to them. They pay 20m like we pay 1m for a youth player.

Stop trying to sneak in some stealth Pep fellatio where it doesn't belong.

I’m sorry mate, I’m sure all your points on Kamada are great but seriously though, implying that Leao is injury prone is a new level of recency bias.

I didn't imply that, maybe you've misread my post. Kamada has a better engine and isn't injured much, it's a separate statement to what I said about Leao.

Rrrr...why we picked CDK for 30+m again?
Because he was 21 years old, 6’4”, and is as adept at scoring as he is assisting. There are few young CF’s around currently, and none of them have his attributes. Might take him a year or so to adjust, especially if played out of position.

If they ditch Pioli,
There’s a good chance he’ll be at Napoli

I don't like CDK but I want him to explode next year out of spite.

Origi falls into the first category of not top striker, nor young. He didnt pan out. The young prospects that I like are Balogun and Openda. I’d take Openda because he’s relatively under the radar compared to Balogun who’s an Arsenal loanee. Wahi is a hot name right now because he’s scoring so much but nothing in his game gives me CF vibes, nor does his game seem to suit the Italian league. Its all well and good to beat the offside trap at the halfway line and outrun everyone to score in France but it won’t happen here.

MIlan isn’t midtable, but the new recruitment strategy of non-EPL clubs is to buy talent and develop it. Including Real Madrid with Vinicius, Rodrygo, Renier, Endrick, etc… spending 80-100 million doesn’t gaurantee results and no club outside the top 5 in England can do it flippantly.

Endrick alone costs 72 mil. What are you on about!!??

You have to spend at least 80-100 mil to buy a mixture of talent and experienced players. Hojlund was 17 mil. Alvarez was 20 mil, Vinicius, Rodrygo were 45 mil each. Even CDK was 32 mil. So if you're buying 5-6 players in one summer it's going to end up to at least 80-100 mil.

The big clubs aren't spending 80-100 mil. They are spending 200-400 mil. 80-mil is the lower level of spending what West Ham or Dortmund might spend. And Milan owners aren't even on that level!

Kamada - Free
Thuram - Free
Okafor - 20mil + Rebic(I'm optimistic if nothing else lol)
Parisi - 7/8 mil plus FBT
Samardzic - 10 plus Messias or Origi
Ziyech - 10 million plus bonuses

Fuck getting a DM let's just go full attacare, no more fucking stalemates against fodder teams!!!
These prices are way too low. Udinese will never give Samardzic for that price, speaking of Parisi he wants to be the national team's starting LB, no way he comes here to sit on the bench 85% of the games

It’s strange, because until last summer there seemed to be a perfect synergy. Then, Maldini came out firing to the press and since then it kind of has been a clusterfuck like you said. Add to it an owner that recently emphasized the importance of qualifying for the CL after investing the absolute minimum last summer AND literally nothing in winter.

Maldini has been insisting on the long-term project lately in the media. Maybe he’s thinking more long-term and expects CDK, Adli, Vranckx to come good in several years and then we will look at the summer window differently. But then why didn’t Pioli utilize Adli and Vranckx at all?

Elliott selling to these RedBird goons was the worst thing that could have happened. Maldini may have been unhappy, but there was a sense of continuity and a clear roadmap.

I worshipped Gazidis despite people laughing at me ("Gazidis out", "the sooner we get rid of Elliott the better") and always said be careful what you wish for, that wish might come true. With Gazidis we know what we had, and it was working. Now we have the new ownership negativity force desperately wanted and it still remains to be seen.

Said this numerous times but people still think he can be had for cheap to sit on the bench

The reports have moved to other targets and reflect that reality. Parisi is too good to sit on the bench, he has talent, and he knows it too.

Okay scratch Parisi off and add cash to the Samardzic deal.

Also there's ways of structuring deals, we need to box clever and think creatively.

50 mil plus sales and freed up wages doesn't need to be all doom and gloom!

Okay, 50 mil, get me Okafor and Berardi or Ziyech plus Thuram and Kamada and close the mercato, fuck it...

With player sales and saved wages get me a proper CM prospect...

Billy on who from our youth impresses him:

"And Mattia Liberali, 2007 class from Milan. He’s young, but he reminds me of Foden."

High praise.

Missing contribution from Rebić ,Ibra , Hakan . All team was in form ,post COVID Milan was flying. Ehhh ,good times.
No, the answer is space. Give this Milan space and we’ll play like that again. Teams stopped giving us space.

I've seen people say they don't like Kamada bc he's Bundasfodder and that Bundasfodder stats should be "halfed".

If that's the case, we shouldn't touch Noah Okafor with a 10-ft pole if he costs any money at all, considering the experience we had with CdK and I would say Belgium league is more competitive than Austrian one (sorry Austrians)

How much do we divide Kvaras goal contributions by from the Ukrainian league?

People honestly thinking we should only shop in what England, France and Spain?

Endrick alone costs 72 mil. What are you on about!!??

You have to spend at least 80-100 mil to buy a mixture of talent and experienced players. Hojlund was 17 mil. Alvarez was 20 mil, Vinicius, Rodrygo were 45 mil each. Even CDK was 32 mil. So if you're buying 5-6 players in one summer it's going to end up to at least 80-100 mil.
Then maybe we’re making the same points? Real Madrid, with the second highest revenue in world football, aren’t buying ready made players anymore for 80-100 million because the risk/reward is bad. They’re spending 40-80 on PROSPECTS because you can bring them along slowly on lower wages and their market value won’t drop too low even if they “flop”, which is another way of saying they haven’t found the right environment to blossom.
The big clubs aren't spending 80-100 mil. They are spending 200-400 mil. 80-mil is the lower level of spending what West Ham or Dortmund might spend. And Milan owners aren't even on that level!
You’re conflating total expenditure in one market vs per player expenditure. I’m talking about per player. And yes, only the EPL clubs and a few others have the money to pay 60-80 on prime age players. Even the clubs that can do it like Real, are choosing to go a different route.

That is what Milan is attempting but at a much lower level due to much lower revenue.

Pioli: “I don't agree that we haven't improved in the game compared to two years ago, and the start of last year's season. This year we lacked in the last quarter of the pitch, but we improved in keeping control of the match
