I am obviously worried because if he comes here and flops, I'll be personally responsible, and people will actually have a good reason to give me shit for once. If Kamada comes too? I'm screwed.

But he seems like he can come on favorable enough terms and it's not like we have 80m to spend on Kane, or the 120m that Osimhen will cost, let alone the 60m for Vlahovic (who I don't even want).

Other options like Sesko, Okafor, and Openda are CDK-like gambles for me.

I think we could exchange loans of Origi and Scamacca, with options, and both parties would be happy.

Openda is coming from the French League, not the Belgian League, plus his playing position is more specific than CDK. Scammacca had one decent season in his career with 16 goals followed by a complete flop season. He's a bigger risk. Even if it's just a loan, it could wreck the whole of next season for Milan.

Better to get Openda for 20-25 mil or Firmino for free. Firmino has 10 goals and 4 assists this season in EPL and 2 goals in the UCL, even while not being the 1st choice striker. Very little chances of Firmino flopping as he's been solid for many years in a row, playing at the top level.

Thijs Dalinga also looks good and Milan could sign him for cheap from Toulouse.

The striker position is too important to trust someone coming off a super flop season, even if he has chances of turning good. It would be like another Origi type signing.

Scammacca might be ok as one of 2 striker signings with the other being someone like Openda, Firmino, Dalinga,...... And Milan would need to sign 2 strikers with Zlatan and Origi both leaving.

15-22 mil is decent for Diaz. You aren't going to get an attacking player with that many goals and assists for much less, and any new player always has a risk of flopping at Milan. Baldanzi with just 4 goal/ 0 assists is being quoted at 15 mil! Plus it seems that PIoli has finally found out that RW might be the best position for Diaz ( though Pioli had to switch him back CAM when Bennacer got injured ). At RW he could have even better numbers.

I don't think Milan will pay 30 mil for Diaz, though...

30m is a stretch but he has a 22m buyout clause and there's been several different reports saying that we're looking to buy him outright. That's the worrying part and given Maldini's idiotic decision making and emotional attachment to players, I wouldn't put it past him.

I think if the first one or two times ref calls a foul or Diaz spins away, it puts pressure mentally on defenders and they are more likely to let him get away again.

But if they dispossess him leaving his ass on the ground eye fucking the ref for a call, it’s gonna be a long night. And despite some of his heroics this year, the second scenario happens way too often.

but he was CF in a minor league. there is a huge difference between defenders in italy and belgium. just in terms of physique, he can't come close to keeping up. he’s getting tossed around like child. i can’t see how he would survive as CF.
maybe in a few years, when he has bulked up more and gained more experience in the league.

right now i see him as a SS/AM too. he actually has everything it takes to excel at this position. it just doesn't click so far.
forget this year and start all over again in the summer. after all, it can't get any worse.
