I was not happy with the way the transfers went but I have to defend Maldini because people tend to forget how long the RedBird acquisition took and before that his hands were tied.

All of them fucked up. 1st owners gave hardly any money to spend and delayed MM renewals till v late. MM screwed up by signing Origi instead of Muani or anyone else ( loads of players better than Origi ) and CDK also transfer didn't work out. Now with more money maybe they would also have bought Enzo F and overall the season would have been better with some flops and some hits.

Then Pioli fucked up his tactics and the handling of new players like Adli and Thiaw ( Thiaw didn't play for months ).

Basically owners, MM and Pioli all fucked up. If just one of them had done better, it would have made a big difference.

If Adli and Vranckx were Dest-like shit, I would be much more inclined towards putting more blame on MMM. But... they haven't been used, like... comically haven't been used. By Pioli.

Origi and CDK, to me, are the two big failures of MMM, Origi in particular. CDK, who I don't like, I'm going to wait for next year. If CDK is moved on, I think that's an admission of failure from MMM, akin to Paqueta or Piatek, honestly.

It has been losing and dropping points to bottom half teams that has impacted Pioli the most this year. Origi wasn't a good sub before. He was the sub of a sub! Liverpool even played wingers like Mane ahead of him as striker. He hardly played any minutes over the last few years and hardly scored scored any goals. A good sub from Liverpool is someone like Firmino who has scored 12 goals and 5 assists this years as a sub or Julian Alvarez at City. Origi, the most he's scored in an EPL season is around 7 goals and other years it was less than that!

Pioli doesn’t play primavera players? Aren’t they not even in the top tier of the youth leagues? The list of “young” players who have not played much here is considerably and factually lower than the amount of “young” players that have gotten a lot of time here. The list of young players that have played a lot and done well here is like Tonali, leao, kalulu, Bennacer, Brahim

And there are people here whining about what started with Hauge and has moved to adli, vranckx, kerkez. Players who may or may not have some talent but we’re not talking about aubameyang, gourcuff and paqueta. It’s a very small sample list and none of them prove Pioli is inadequate with young players at all. Thiaw taking half a season to play after arriving from…checks notes…the second division in Germany in considered a cardinal sin.
