Diaz is 3 years younger and plays for a team who very recently won the Scudetto and reached the CL semis whereas Empoli finished 14th so it's an unfair comparison.

Also, I don't think he'd cost more than 10-15m.

A fellow Milanese Used to live in Zona Tortona (before it became fashionable). I moved to the US ages ago, but I still have family there (my brother) and (until recently) I used to manage an engineering group (the office was near the Ippodromo, and I used to stay at the B&B across from San Siro). Yeah. Some commoders seem to focus on our (many) problems and ignore the serious progress we made in the last few years (barely qualifying for EL and getting embarrassed in EL groups to a scudetto + CL semis). He's building a brand. Just like CR7's "Siu" and all that. The club is obviously a big part of that. I imagine being in Milan helped nudge him to be selected in the adidas x Prada collaboration.

When it comes to fashion and marketing, Milan is still the major hub along with Paris, London, New York, and Tokyo.

I also think Leao gets to make Milan his team, the face of the revival of a giant. Real has Vini, PSG has Mbappe, City has Haaland, Man Utd has Rashford, and Milan has Leao.

Anyway, it looks like we're going to sign Kamada so he wouldn't be alone plus it's impossible for him to be any worse than CDK. We need to be brave and make these type of signings NOW or risk crying later.

Transfermarkt has Baldanzi at 1.70 and Dybala at 1.77 but anyway what worries me is that i feel that we are so close to win again the Scudetto, i don't want to lose itbecause we fucked up another mercato with youngsters who are yet to be tested at a certain level

Maldini and Co are doing some amazing work with a limited budget. I might not agree with Pioli's tactics but given the shoestring budget we are working with, it's easy to forget we were once dealing with the likes of Taiwo...

Feels like we are starting to feel like a properly run club again. It's been a while.

I know Baldanzi is your guy, but Dybala could always pass, even when he was young at Palermo.

That's the thing that really gives me pause on Baldanzi. The kid doesn't show the inclination towards passing. I feel like passing (in our attack) is our biggest weakness. Obviously, Adli is the answer to that, but... if Baldanzi becomes prime Dybala, sure, let's go, but... he doesn't look like a pass first kid.

Pafundi has better passing quality in him, out of the two young Italian talents.

I would love for a Milan fan to come here and become our Dybala, before he fizzled out. I just feel like he enables Pioli's worst dribble-and-pray soloist "tactics."

He is so similar to Brahim, it is weird to me that someone can bemoan Brahim and want him instead.

Baldanzi would probably go through the same growing pains. The only way Baldanzi avoids that is if he makes passing his obsession. He's a dribbler and a shooter. I think he has less dribbling skill than Brahim at his age, but a stronger shot. Neither have shown passing as central aspects of their game.

Hazard was a strong, fast, direct player, who yes, did dribble, but the guy also could pass--even when he was young.

This new generation of players are insanely skilled... in 5-a-side skills, yet lack such basic fundamentals in passing, marking, and finishing. It's wild to me.

Kamada and Adli (if he is not loaned) as AM could work very well given the chance. CDK insists he is an AM or F9 perhaps he will prove effective and prove us all wrong. I still think he could work best at free RW/F9.

Baldanzi I don’t know well enough from what I have seen he seems to be able to make quick and decisive decisions. So I’m not certain options are always good. What will be funny is when Diaz returns to Madrid to play RW and not AM.

I can see Milan looking at various options in key roles. I’m just happy Milan have extended Leao and hope they keep the core strength of the team and build around it make Milan’s attack more dynamic and less predictable.
