Nha we can afford his wages. Only 4.6 mil. Just not more than 2 or 3 year contract hopefully. He is 32? 33. That's still in his prime.

Fair point but 4m net still seems far too low given the cash rich EPL, Arab owners, Citeh’s success plus the fact that he’s captain.

Anyhow, if by some miracle we do end up signing him then we get a genuinely WC player and CHAMPION for free allowing us to spend the mercato budget on upgrading other positions like RW+CF.
