A key advantage would be if he decides not to join other EPL clubs out of respect for City or to Bayern out of respect to Dortmund.
That leaves basically PSG, Juve, Inter, Real, Barca, Atletico and us as the options. Juve and Barca may get European ban. Inter has lot of other holes to fill with limited money. Atletico's issues with creative players might make them unattractive. That leaves us, PSG, Real and possible renewal at City.
May be guaranteed play time, a longer contract and a leadership role here might work in our favour.

Ibra will always be respected but his playing career is now over. He would make a good underage coach/trainer.

Rebic and Origi have to leave. Rebic is no longer a player who can contribute and Origi is just not Milan quality. Hopefully some premier league team will buy Origi.

Arnautovic as a third choice striker isn’t the worst he knows Serie A and while can be a bit of an asshole he would contribute more than Origi. But Milan can do better than Arnautovic.
Giroud can’t play forever so a young mobile striker is essential and most importantly a striker who can score plenty of goals and consistently.

Milan seem to be moving quickly which is a very positive sign.

I doubt that will happen, Barca could sue UEFA for lost revenue (and likely would win big), if Barca get out of the charges.

I think UEFA will wait to see what happens in the Spanish courts to see what they will do about it. They want to do something, as it's a really bad look, but the risk of it turning sour would make things complicated.
