I can guarantee you will see at least 3-4 of these in the next 2 weeks. Zero new information, just saying the same thing over and over again. The guy has no inside info for any club (except for merda, but he reports only the positive news), he is just reiterating the same thing multiple times. Romano is a fraud who is often getting paid by agents/clubs to push some agenda. I have absolutely no idea why he is considered the best transfer journalist in the world.

All fair points and you know I respect the hell out of your opinion.

I have a feeling next season will be a huge turnaround year for us. You give CDK, Adli, Thiaw, potentially Vranckx a summer with the team and a second season in Italy- good things will probably happen. We are committed to the youth project and youth doesn’t necessarily explode immediately. Leao was struggling in Serie A years ago and for a brief moment yesterday he looked like fucking R9 come again.

Fully agree Pioli did not manage his personnel at the level he has proven capable of while also acknowledging that he did not have a good enough squad this season.

I think the pressure to win resulted in him going back to the same ol’ well with guys like Diaz, who had won for him in the past.

Let’s not overlook the fact that the team closed out very strong this season as well. The calcio wasn’t beautiful, but it got us top 4 again.

Onwards and upwards, hopefully with some more seasoned youths AND some rockstar additions this summer.

My reply was more of a comment, a "yes, and..." rather than some sort of "counter point" or anything like that, because honestly, I think there's a lot of validity to what you said (and I don't think I made that point clear enough in my post)--I just wish Pioli made different choices, because I think this squad is stronger than it showed this year.

The only CL games where Pioli messed up were the Inter games. That's was disappointed me. If he had Leao and Bennacer, I think those games go very differently, but even then, his choices in those games (mostly the first leg) just infuriated me.

I agree that I think pressure got to him this year.

I think Pioli learned from the year we finished 2nd to manage things better the next year to win Serie A. I hope Pioli learned from this year, and even though I'm not the biggest CDK fan, seeing him grow suddenly next season isn't that crazy to me. I still remember the discussions over Leao and Tonali, and while there were differences, I just... wouldn't be surprised.

Pioli needs some new players, mostly backup players for rotation (and impacts off the bench) but I think our biggest priority is striker. RW is a huge problem too, but... maybe Pioli should try CDK there?

I fear Kalulu will demand to be sold but he just signed a new contract, no doubts Pioli has to put him back at the heart of the team. He is better than Tomori guaranteed and he is better than Thiaw guaranteed.
