Mazzara and Vitiello [MN]: "... all the hypotheses are on the table, which are essentially three: [1] a step forward from the ownership towards Maldini's requests, [2] a step back by Paolo with respect to his requests for greater investments up to the third [option], which would be the most sensational, which would be the separation.

It is very delicate moment, where all the parties involved are reflecting on what emerged from today's meeting, where, however, Cardinale's esteem for Maldini and his working group has been reaffirmed."

Di Marzio: "There are also the hypothesis of a step back by the Milan owners, or by the former Rossoneri captain. If this does not happen, Maldini could therefore really leave Milan. But the tear can still be mended."

I love which parts of the reports people choose to ignore.
It's all in the narrative.
There are those reporting that Kamada's signing is being pushed back to the end of June.

Fans: Oh no, what shit management, how is it always #nextweek. He's not coming, is he? I f**king knew it! :rebicry:

Reality:
According to what SportMediaset reports on Italia Uno , after Marco Sportiello, Milan are ready to close another goal to zero, namely Daichi Kamada , attacking midfielder whose contract with Eintracht Frankfurt is about to expire. The player is expected in Milan for medical visits after the matches with Japan on June 15th against El Salvador and on June 20th against Peru.
Players have other commitments too. They're not at Milan fan's beck and call all the time.

As for the report about Gerry and Paolo. What I got from it is that they have many options regarding how they want to move forward and nothing is set in stone yet (basically reporting about nothing).

The ONLY thing that was confirmed for me was this:
During the day there will be no official communications from the club or comments from the property. But the decision will have to be made by return of post (basically next working day). Because Milan cannot experience another month of deadlock on the market after a year, also because there are so many things to do to make the squad more competitive.

Either he stays or he goes. Great insight from Di Marzio.
Sound like journo clickbait

What are you on about. Investcorp are the definition of Yonghong Li. Lots of fake promises. This is a continuation of Elliot if anything. You forgot the blow outs we had under their management. Maldini and Gazidi’s power struggle. Same old, same old.

If it wasn't for the pr nightmare Maldini would have been gone last summer probably

I just hope this shit gets resolved because I don't want a repeat of last summer
Points of tension between Maldini and Cardinale are mainly two: a budget of 50 million (as written on @cmdotcom net of the usual insults) and autonomy on the market - Longo

If you can't work within the parameters of ownership then get out

Don't hold the club hostage two summers in a row
Wouldn't Maldini know what the parameters and budgets of the team are? He's been on a book tour of "well, we are poor, we need a new stadium, we need to be more disciplined, and I agree with this." The way I see it: if he's saying "we can spend more" it would probably be because he knows that they can.

So far, Redbird are putting in less money than Elliott did for transfers--and with the big cuts to the costs of the squad coupled with dramatic increases in revenue... I'm sorry, I don't see how asking for more than 50m is some outrageous demand set to that backdrop.

If the expectation is for CL runs--then more money will have to be spent. Serie A isn't the Bundesliga. Dortmund are able to sell their best players because the competition for a top four spot is laughable there. Selling players would not go over well with Redbird's whole "we want Milan to the biggest in the world" mantra. So they are at an impasse.

Doesn't matter if he is in the right or wrong

I don't understand why he renewed in the first place when this was clearly the approach

If you cannot work within the parameters set by ownership move on, don't hold the club hostage

I think the biggest problem is believing every source. I don’t believe Longo for a second. I think it’s autonomy if anything else. Longo is justifying his last rumour. He is literally the only one saying that.

Serie A transfer window

The market will open on Saturday, July 1 and close on Friday, Sept. 1, expected at 7 p.m. BST / 2 p.m. ET.

Worse things can happen between now and July 1 .. like an Inter CL win. Chill for now. Start worrying if there are doubts about management even by July 1.

I didn't realize you suddenly became such a huge fan of Adli, Vranckx, and CDK. They are all Moncada picks.

Yes, CDK was a Moncada pick.
A slight shake of power is needed, thats all am saying.

I'd be surprised, either way, move on last summer was a disaster

Clearly, he wasn't happy with the project last summer and waited until the last second to sign. Maybe he thought a CL SF run would change the vision

And if Maldini's plans are Brahim and Arnautovic...thanks for pulling the club out of the banter era but there's the door

If Moncada is having more say next to Maldini then RB doing us good.
Maldini is the only guarantee that we will build a team for winning and not just for flipping youngsters for profit. I don't want to be the new Leipzig.

Based on what?

You have beat the drum that CDK was the biggest waste of money and you have championed the idea that Moncada will fix everything.

So you're a huge fan of Vranckx and CDK, both Moncada picks, right?

Avvocato La Scala i'm sure you know him, says that he knew that Milan personalities urged Maldini and Cardinale to meet to settle everything but this meeting might have turned out as doomsday, a showdown

Why would you be surprised? Keeping Maldini as (a demonstrably) great SD is one thing, but it's also the credibility he gives you, the ability to deflect poor choices from Redbird and the ability to turn local Milan fans' opinion away from wanting to stay at San Siro, to clamoring for a new stadium.

I feel like you're putting things in a way to put it on Maldini, like... was it really Maldini's choice to wait until the last second? Or was Redbird haggling until the end? And for what? To give up on him after a season?

If Maldini wants more money for transfers, why would he want to use those extra funds for Brahim and Arnautovic? Brahim's fate doesn't even seem like it's in his hands, to begin with.

Why can't we just let him be 3rd GK and show Mirante the door?

Ahhhh, "the lists".

Two Italian keepers means we free up "Foreigner" spaces for outfield players. That's a win for us.

All that's coming out is not coming out from Redbird, Redbird is completely silent. This is what journalists that follow Milan are saying
