No, he has made himself the issue. The whole theory behind capitalism and executive pay centers around the owner's responsibility.

Gerry is making big boy choices. Great. It isn't a popularity contest. But he is investing money in an industry where there are things to be won and lost.

He just threw away a huge cushion for himself. We all hope for the best for Milan. But if you want to be ruthless about it, since that stupid fucking word is now the new theme here: he made this situation, and now he has to live with the consequences.

This is an industry where fans are the customers, and if you piss off people by ruining their expectations, you lose. Like when it turned out Ellen was an asshole, her show failed.

Same concept here.
Gerry is in trouble as soon as results don’t go our way, the protests will start very quickly for the owners to go. We saw the curva banner-the fans wanted to be taken to the next level-what we got was a serious slap in the face

I doubt it was Paolo pushing for CDK, more likely it was the guys Pioli is going to be left working with.
I'm sure it was Paolo that wanted Kjaer, Zlatan and overall more experience.
Moncada will push for younger players, so I'm not sure Pioli was making a dig at Paolo. Who obviously understands the need for experience and quality. Something that got him fired.
That's not a fair characterization

Moncada pushed for Kjaer and Furlani pushed for Dybala over Charles

Let's see what happens next but have in your mind how difficult it was to finish 4th this year and keep in mind the others will improve, so can we all at least agree that this team needs money spent on it if nothing else? It's the only way we move forward or cling on to what we have
What are you talking about?
Napoli are very likely to lose Kim and Osimhen. Kim has a buy out that Man United will activate. Who knows if Kvara stays after they both leave and Spaletti is gone too.

Inter have their problems - maybe they can cover it up for a year with the money they made this year but they're an old squad. Probably the favourites for next year as it stands.
Roma, Juve and Lazio aren't going to be competing for 1st.

The main problem here is that this will reflect negativly on our players,Maldini had a great realtionship with them, its not the same when Maldini aproaches you and motivates you to work harder, gives you some advices,or when some guy named Moncada or Furlani aproaches you

So Moncada had deals in place for Enzo and Kolo Mouani and Maldini didnt listen to him and went for other players?
No

Kolo Muani publicly said he appreciated Milan but thought bundesliga is a better fit for his development

What a dumb agenda

Enzo went to start for Benfica. Milan got 3 players he’d struggle to get minutes ahead of right away. How you so sure it was as simply as you make is sound?

In the future of Milan's sports management is Geoffrey Moncada, to whom the club has offered a three-year renewal.

The property will not bet on profiles like Arnautović or Berardi.
Loftus-Cheek and Kamada are still on the agenda.
There will be international surprises.

@Samaldinho chin up this means no Berardi and Zaniolo

because it’s about the next 30 years not this next season. This will be a funny thread over the next generation of Milan

because there’s no blameless party here either. too many people in the world blaming others for their situation… it’s a two way street and maldini needs to look in the mirror before blaming others for the bed he made

because I believe in radical accountability and rarely complain about my circumstances before a complete check on what I could have done differently.

that’s true in my personal life

Jesus Christ. How did Paolo fuck up?
With him, we won a scudetto. Was that ever the aim? NO!
Then this season - I don't think we demanded another scudetto. The expectation would've been to finish top 2 though, but given that we had such a strong CL run, you'd accept finishing in the top 4 if you get that CL run.

Admittedly, we haven't progressed as much or as quickly as previous seasons but we've kept a core of players and are growing on this path. Had we been offered this and had the management been offered this then they would've snapped your hand off.

1. If you fire your championship building GM after one bad off season, then you're a moron, no matter the sport, NBA, MLB, whatever.

2. He has an obligation to his investors, but it isn't likely he will get the return if he fucks up. This isn't a closed league, there are no draft picks, and you have to get top 4 to get into the dance that matters.

Lol, this isn't about the emotion of Maldini. Your players and staff are confused, it seems like the ownership got emotional and threw their tantrum by firing the more popular guy.

He's not a likeable guy, decisions can be accepted and tolerated from people with some charm and charisma... Till you simply can't accept the decisions any more, regardless of how much you like someone.

I don't like gerry, those supporting this move, if the wheels come off, are you still going to support him for a bit because he's a "good guy"?

Or will you turn on him as quickly as you did Paolo.

Im into #daplan in a way, as I always knew this was a process, a project, that needed patience, understanding and money... This is a fucking set back no matter what way you look at it.

This year's failures DO NOT solely rest at Maldini's feet. From Gerry fucking about with his take over, to Pioli and his butchers, Maldini's chasing of Sanchez and Monconda championing CDK... They all fucked up, yet Gerry, the owner is exempt from blame.

To me he gave the keys to his car to folk he didn't know, and didn't know they couldn't drive,. He then wondered where his car went and why it was a write off... But the police and insurance were cool with his actions because it was nice he could afford the expensive car in the first place?

Oh and he only charged some of the folk involved and got the police to throw the book at the others.... It's fucking ridiculous to just blame Maldini in all this lol, fuck, like seriously?!

Tielemans is a free agent, after the relegation of Leicester

According to the greatest YouTube experts he should've had become one of the best footballer of all times

He'd be a good midfielder for us, since Bennacer is injured

Paolo fucked up because of a 0 budget from Redbird.

How does removing a legend in this manner improve anything for the squad? Maybe it will long term, however in the short term it just causes confusion and makes the club and owner look like clowns.

Could've at least came to a mutual termination and released a statement or something

Lol fuck RLC...he literally brings NOTHING to the table defensively or offensively whereas at least Kamada is a decent player who can help us tap into the lucrative Asian market.

Hopefully Baldanzi still remains on the radar :o

You guys need to separate Paolo Maldini the Milan Legend and Paolo Maldini the Technical Director into two different entities. The former is immovable, untouchable while the latter is result-dependent. Finishing fifth is huge failure and he should be part of the blame because of his bad decisions in the transfer market.

But I also believe that Pioli deserves the hammer too. If reaching the UCL semi finals was due to his brilliance, finishing fifth must also be attributed to his blunders. Deciding to rest key players for Serie A match against bottom feeders only to lose both Serie A and UCL matches was stupid. In a similar circumstance, Ancelotti used to do the same cuz he cared jack shit about Serie A but the difference is he sure did win the UCL match.

If Gerry wants to start fresh, he must kick Pioli out of the door too. And if his idea is to promote Moncada as Paolo's replacement, he must start by hiring a modern coach. Someone like De Zerbi for example. Moncada and De Zerbi can be a ruthless tandem that revolutionizes football.

he’s almost obligated to fire him for the dumb shit maldini tried to pull

RLC tune is now changing back to Moncada brilliance I see.

I'm sure having his meeting canceled today with Maldini will do wonders for Moncada's first impression and our negotiations of bringing him here.

They should teach these techniques in business school.

Roger Federer is the GOAT
The net spend of Milan, Inter, Napoli, and Juve over the last 4 seasons excluding 2018/19 season:

Milan: -176.19
Inter: -40.58
Napoli: -127.69
Juve: -135.25

Just posting this stat. Make of it what you will.

Need to look at the wages though, we cut down a lot too tbf. I’m not sure how to find that stat though
