I mean, if it’s still Kamada and we are actually after Marcus Thuram rather than Arnautovic I guess that’s a good start

Longo said this as well and he’s usually reliable but too early

I think ultimately Rafa & Mike want Milan to add good players and be competitive - those 2 names are in line with that a lot more than RLC
You're cute.
You think Maldini would've rather signed Arnautovic over Thuram? Just think.

Both pioli and Moncada like Kamada. Piloli will have more power in the market.

if there is more cohesion in buying new players that's an upside of this

the squad reaction to losing Zlatan and Maldini in one go is the worst part for me

I don't understand making this a positivity v negativity thing, seems like there's a wide range of opinion here on Pioli/management/RedBird as well as on our possible mercato targets

Lol makes sense and this PROVES that M&M were fired for failing to consult Pioli and signing a bunch of players he refused to play
I'm hoping Adli and CDK get more game time, so it would be interesting to see what happens with them

Thuram would be a good start for sure.

I’m no RedBird fanboy and I don’t know what their incentives to fire Maldini are exactly.

All I know is that Pioli’s contract was renewed and Maldini must’ve played a big part in that just like RedBird certainly gave their thumbs up.

My post was not an attempt at justifying Maldini’s sacking but just me pointing out what blame he carries for the underwhelming season we just witnessed where my take is that Pioli’s renewal proved much more disastrous than spending 35m on a kid who might still come good.
They put their faith in Pioli over Maldini, ownership made their choice. They are now going to be judged by it.

That 35m kid was the darling of Moncada, who is now in charge, so forgive me if I'm not exactly inclined towards giving ownership the benefit of the doubt here.

Yes I am pretty cute in fact often get called that I am above handsome

Maldini and Massara had a meeting booked with Arnautovic yesterday but then got sacked

I would have signed Arnautovic for #3 to replace Ibra too

Also, Arnautovic scores like a lot more than Thuram still despite difference in age (last season, Thuram got 3 goals in 23 bundes games)

Wrong. We both know what Maldini is like as a man. The same reason you're criticizing our performance is the reason he is criticizing the board.
How can you not understand that? His motivation for doing so is pure. He wants us to succeed. Do you believe Gerry's main motivation is success? He wants it too. But he'd probably rather he make 100 mil more if it meant we didn't win a scudetto in the next 5 years. (Not suggesting he's going to go out his way to not be successful)

I'll ask again, with the money he was given, should he have done better? He believes he should've been backed more. He hasn't been in January and he wasn't really in the summer after winning a Scudetto well before we had hoped. With little resources he did an incredible job.
I don’t think maldini made good decisions as a TD. Technically or politically

I’m not sure what more youre looking for from me, sir

I really want Thuram but rnb seem to overrate his profile a lot like they do with a lot of random names

He could be great but seeing his stats & how proven he actually is nothing guarantees there isn’t a risk he’d pull an Origi

Motherfuckers even Paolo wouldn't feel this bad about the raw deal hw received. Get over it. Move on.

He is rich. Why do you care?

Let's focus on the club now.

Gerry bring it to us. Let's win the scudetto again and do well in ucl.

Thuram stars:

22/23 - 13 league goals
21/22 - 3 league goals
20/21 - 8g 7a

Now I don’t know the whole story, think he played on the wings before no?

There are far too many to name past & present
Sign Ramos ASAP. We need leaders after Maldini and Ibra are gone.

I don't want another old mascot stealing wages because they are unfit for 80% of the time.

He plays RW and as a WF.
He can play multiple positions.

Just free transfers. We can build a championship winning fucking team just through free transfers if we do it right. Jube literally did that between 2012 to 2018.

You said if we are signing Thuram instead of Arnautovic.
Which implies you think Maldini was going for Arnautovic as our main striker.
Now you're talking about him as 3rd choice. I too would welcome him as third choice.
Maybe that what Maldini's plan..

You know after you fire enough people it becomes clear who the problem was all along?
More than likely yes but there are also times for a huge clean out

let’s just enjoy the ride

also, what's the argument against how maldini got sacked?

last summer people were up in arms against the delay in managerial transition, gerry fixed it by making things clear on day 1

should maldini have gotten a hearing and given a month notice prior to leaving? and saying it's shocking that the team & staff didn't know make 0 sense, because:
a) it sure is healthy for the team to know the your sd legend is being sacked, surely it won't cause a mutiny in the squad & distract them from their season objective
b) it sure won't leak to the press with half of milanello knowing and would drag out the dirty laundry out in front of the whole fanbase.

like it or not, gerry has decided to sack maldini. the way it was handled is 1000 times better pr wise (don't think gerry is a scrub to pr techniques- maybe i'm wrong) so he controls the narrative or let the narrative run amok with journalists.

edit: damn i understand the idea behind the succession gifs now, casualista & wesley kudos
