I have to say, when he first arrived under Gattuso (right?) and played those lovely forward balls to Piatek I thought we had found something but then it was all back to the defender like he is posting up in Basketball and one or two tricks. :head:
Remember that gif of the guy protecting the ball ?

Fabrizio Romano - Nothing had changed for Leao and no market bells for Maignan either. The club has communicated to the players that the goal is to win, and to invest. The important players have taken stock of this message.
But what about facebook groups? What are they saying?

Look at #22.204 and #22.234

The 20 games you watched - were they all from this season, where he only played CF?

I thought the stats was okay, seeing it was his first season as a target man - 13g/6a.
And that he has the physical profile that would fit a Target Man-profile, and if he just has speed enough to run behind defensive line, That’s good enough.

What I miss mit from our CF right now is speed, hold-up play & and someone who can create own chances, now and then - don’t know if he fits that bill? Did you spot those last two traits?

I believe Højlund fits the bill, but he would exceed our budget, probably. And Thuram looks to be closer to PSG.

So who’s left? AND realistic… 🤔

Ask yourself HONESTLY how many of the 15 fodders below were Maldini/Moncada's doing. I've bolded Maldini's mistakes for you...

Tata, Mirante, BT, Dest, Florenzi, Gabbia, Baka, Pobega, Krunic, Vranckx, Ibra (too old), Rebic, Origi, Messias, CDK (Dybala was free!)

Also, at least Moncada's fodders were mostly loans or <5m.

Milan bought Gabbia and Pobega? For how much??

Couldn’t be more meh on Thuram. I don’t want that type of CF, I want a quick Mustang like Openda to run free with Leao and Theo.
The thing is getting a quality CF on a free would mean a lot for the mercato

Given how expensive the CF targets are, it would free up funds for other much needed areas

Not the biggest fan of Thuram's profile but he's close enough and squad needs a decent overhaul

Yep I'm officially over Maldini's depature...sure on paper he did great after winning the Scudetto and consistently playing in the CL (+ reaching the SF), but when you look at the number of fodders he accumulated in the squad it's truly mindblowing and he just ended up undoing all of the hard work he spent cleaning Mirabellend's mess. Tata, Mirante, BT, Dest, Florenzi, Gabbia, Baka, Pobega, Krunic, Vranckx, Ibra (too old), Rebic, Origi, Messias, CDK etc is just abominable!

Also, he had the audacity to ask RedBird for MORE money despite blowing 50m on a bunch of duds Pioli refused to play and showed a lack of respect towards both Elliott & RedBird with several press statements. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Gerry decided to sack him just to give him a taste of his own medicine.

So no Kamada,France u21 guy it is then
I think he will still come

By the sounds of it, they want to reinforce the team with as many experienced, free, and quality players as possible before allocating the transfer budget to other areas

Which isn't the worst idea

Makes me feel less repulsed than paying 8m for Arnautovic

Messias is probably gone but what a amazing story he has. Starting his career like a 24 years of age in Serie D and ending up winning scudetto at Milan and scoring against Atletico in UCL.

Sorry but I can't be happy for him and consider his signing a stain on this great club's name just like Constant + Bukakke amongst others in the banter era a few years ago.

Hoping he gets sent back in a fridge to wherever he came from

AC Milan great Christian Panucci admits he fears for his old club.

This week, football directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were sacked by Milan owner Gerry Cardinale.

Panucci admits he's "disgusted" by the decision.

He told Sportmediaset: "Paolo had a great responsibility as a former captain.

"Probably on the other side there was no desire to grow as Maldini had and (Ricky) Massara. I'm disgusted and sorry, I think there will be difficult times for Milan."

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has slammed former club AC Milan over their sacking of Paolo Maldini.

The club icon and technical director was dumped on Monday.

Ancelotti said: "In Madrid I learned that the history of a club must always be respected, here Di Stefano, Amancio, Gento , Puskas are still exclusive values towards which reverence is nurtured.

"To preserve history at the highest levels, the memory of the past must be protected, what happened with Maldini demonstrates a lack of historical culture, of respect for the AC Milan tradition.

"If it is true that history does not win, it is also true that history teaches how to win."

if cf's are expensive and that's arguably our weakest department doesn't it mean that a free one won't answer our needs?

That's what makes Thuram a good opportunity. He's free and would still be a massive upgrade

If they miss on Thuram then the other areas needing reinforcement will take a hit just because of how costly CFs can be

As I said earlier I don't think they'll invest too much in one player so whoever comes in place of Thuram will likely be a downgrade

The rumors/PR of Maldini wanting Pirlo as manager and adding Arnautovic and Berardi are clearly aimed at RNB. The Curva Sud and fans in Milan rolled over and accepted the news, RNB is really the only holdout.

For sure. Which also tells me that our actual cash investments will be focused on young blood.

This constant quoting of Ancelotti has me giggling

Man pretended to have acid reflux to not return to this club and went to some ass clubs instead.
