Yes he had the autonomy, but he didnt have the budget. He had to get a striker, rw, cam, dm, lb and rb with 50m.

Maldini probably went through the shortlist prepared by Moncada to decide who they wanted to sign within their budget and because Maldini overspend on CDk, there are lesser money for the rest of the positions. I believed he signed Messias, Toure and Florenzi simply because this is what he could afford.

Maldini had his fair share of mistakes as well. I agreed with you that Maldini should have signed Enzo and Muani, should have signed Dybala for rw or cam, Origi was poor. Even in hindsight he doesn't deserve to be sacked. He may have made some wrong decision in the transfer window but prior to this season they gotten rid of the banter era players and build a team that went as far as semifinal in cl with budget that very much worse than our competitor. Milan went from losing 200m to making profit in a short span of 3-4 years while winning the scudetto with a very young team that has strong mentality and feel at home in Milan. Now, my only hope is this doesn't affect the player performance in the next season.

I think he can be useful too. He has low iq and self confidence but he made inter champion 2 years ago and fits to our playing style. If he gains his self confidence he can be a difference maker. But it should be a low cost loan (just partial wage) and we should get another striker. Like scamacca loan with option to buy and loan lukaku. So if one of them explodes then we are ok. Also we will have 3 strikers and can use 2 st formations.

Of course it is not one of my first options but it is not nonsense too , just to support you bro
