I’m sorry to tell you all, Gimenez’ poor form will probably last until end of season

Should’ve placed the bet on Zirkzee

Zirkzee also has very apparent limitations but that is intrinsic to strikers of that 40m price class. Zirkzee has more specific qualities to cancel out his limitations than Gimenez

Zirkzee failing in premier league is very different from performing or not performing in Serie A btw

Zirkzee was a terrible scorer in Serie A, too. If I started a professional 5-a-side league he'd be a top choice. The only way he becomes useful is if he got to play like Firmino for two wingers like Sane and Salah.

The striker market is terrible.

That being said, I'm seriously considering to only tune in by the 2nd half when Sergio will course-correct all bad decisions he took in the starting line-up.

It was too obvious

We had emerged from banter and our current leadership has pulled us back into it.

Whether that continues is up to the choices of our owner this summer.
I agree in that sense but we only really got top 4 and CL football for 4 consecutive years

Not really an era in my book but it’s semantics

True, but his role as more of a playmaking striker would open up space for Reijnders to get in the box and would also limit the predictability in the build up

I think he could add more goals at a later stage in his career but as I said he def has limitations too

Expecting 40m strikers to be difference makers in 2025 is just grim tbh

Zirkzee was way more than the 40m tag though, that was the main issue.

I was told that this management's only goal was top four.

They are failing miserably, when they shouldn't.

Banter era made top four feel like winning a Scudetto. This doesn't feel like Banter, which in a sense makes this 9th place worse than those finishes.

And he isn’t worth a cent over 25 mil max

Giminez I had very little hope for but he needs to be given a full season before judging

It's the worst era for strikers I can think of, genuinely. I don't begrudge any SD with any budget their choices for striker, PSG spent tons and have just given up on strikers lol.

I didn't like Zirkzee at Bologna, I'm glad we didn't get him, so I'm just being a poophead but Man Utd failure shouldn't count lol, look at Antony and Rashford, maybe he would have blossomed here?

I am not a fan of Zirkzee's style. He can't shoot, truly terrible shooting and finishing, can't head the ball, he's only useful as a Firmino in my view.

I want our midfield to have more creativity and also more passing quality, that's our biggest problem in my view.

Pioli without Maldini was getting 2nd position 8 weeks before the season ended

Let's not take away the coping mechanisms for people.

I'm just glad this ownership showed how amazing they are at reaching their goal: they only want to get top four.

Shows we need to trust the professionals.

They are also showing how ruthless they are.

At least Pippo’s 10th place finish was digestible because the coach and squad were pure banter.

This one hurts because we actually spent more and have more quality.

I really hope Red Bird sells. Fans need to do their part and stop buying Milan goods/tickets - if they are smart enough.

Furlani with total control with good SD may still be able to save the club next season but that’s another big risk.

How is Joao Felix even a professional player? The guy is absolute garbage of the highest order. I really can’t come up with a single thing he is at least relatively good at apart from not having sideburns…
I love how Walker told him to just pass the ball in halftime.

But really getting him made our winter mercado actively worse.

Milan needs to bring Osimhen to the club, that's the best way to solve our striker issue that has been lingering for far too long.

If that means we have to sell Leao to fund Osimhen, then I'm for it. Ideally, we'd keep Leao, bring in Osimhen and hire a realt top coach who can take their partnership to another level.

We need a serious no.9 , Osimhen is my best bet the guy hunts down every loose ball like he's a greyhound. Just what we need since we're so crap at building from the back, we need a guy who can lead from the front.

Moncada is a shit scout .. players like Chukweze have no business being anywhere near Milan, but they have him on a fat contract and he runs like a little school girl especially now with his new hairstyle.

Losing CL revenue should be enough of a kick in the nuts to make them make smarter choices? Hopefully, at least lol.

I also don't think we know who is making the choices, there is no coherence at all. The difference between Leonardo and his successor was obvious, but each transfer window under this regime is so weird.

Felix has been really bad, not getting a top midfielder, even a Felix-like out-of-form midfielder was a really bad choice this winter.

He had a ridiculous dry spell last season for Feyenoord (against eredivisie defenders :proud:) that lasted the complete second half of the season

Should’ve placed the bet on Zirkzee
So we will have a one more non-scoring striker .
Good idea . Due to us there are not many left on the market .

Nah, Osimhen has Saudi money on his mind and he’s made that clear. That’s why ADL got him out.

We need players hungry to prove themselves for their next big move, not ones who already has a name and angling to cash in

Barcelona and Napoli are keen on signing Lille Edon Zhegrova.
Zhegrova has decided to leave this summer and will not be extending his contract.

We should buy him.
I like Edon + we have a good relationship with Lille, should also target David who's nearing the end of his contract, would be a shame if he ends up at Inter.

Let's look at the signings made in the post Maldini era in management:

Confirmed good / successful signings:
Reijnders, Pulisic .. that's it really

The rest are still a work in progress but most of the signings of this new order have been flops. What's worse is that they cost us millions by devaluing the overall squad, we have players who have lost more than half the value they had when under San Paolo. Its a crime and a stupid way of running a business that really sells itself in the end.
