He never got a proper run though. Gasperini.

He would have been good but he will take time.
True but I think the year of exploration was this one rather than next one. With pioli gone and a new spine getting assembled.

Management just want to get to financial parity.

Allegri makes sense on paper. Reijnders will fund the transfer market.

Paz would be a great CAM with Fofana-Rovella/Ricci playing more defensivelybehind him. A Jimenez type loan woud be ideal even if we risk losing the player after a year or two. We need immediate help to reach CL while Caviglia/Coppola types can be groomed for the near future.
Until we improve defensively, I do think we have to give up the idea of such an attacking minded midfielder as Paz though. For now, I want 3 midfielders who all contribute defensively.

From day 1, Im hoping/expecting Allegri to walk in and get a lot of 1 or 2 nil victories.
Once we've built that base, work in a Paz and start outplaying teams with even more quality.

So essentially we are just a selling club and due to our shite scouting of late and not a very good one. Tiji was the only unknown bright spark and we are selling. Musah we can't shift, Chuku we can't.... this list goes on

too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini
Funny how Tomori is still counted in the next season's plan by some of you. And as the RB/RWB lmfao.

Allegri is a demanding and pragmatic mofo when it comes to defending. We have all seen enough of him to understand that he values:

Positioning over pace. Tomori is fast, yes I agree. And his positioning sucks balls, yes we all agree.
Discipline over flair. Tomori produces some movie-worthy last-second tackles. And getting himself into a situation where he has to make the tackle is enough to get Allegri to grill him alive.
Mental resilience over drama. Oh my dramatic and theatrical Tomori is gonna suffer under this coach, someone please argue for him.
Low-risk decision-making under pressure. Stopping to wave at the referee for a potential offside call VS. sticking to the opposing player that is getting away with the ball. We all have seen what Tomori would choose to do.

It will take the English dog about three matches to fall out with Allegri.
Fair enough. But in that case Emerson “the invisible man” Royal and Stranhinja “the goon” Pavlovic really shouldn’t be in Allegri’s plans either. He is likely to kill both of them.

Attacking???? poor cross, poor drribling, we better get Calabria back
We should have kept Calabria anyway. There are hardly any good RBs. What good is it to have a hypothetical RB in mind who is good at a lot of things when in reality it is probably the weakest position in football at the moment - in terms of density at least.

No at all, Lucca despite his height is faster and more confortable with the ball than Gimenez, he know how to hold it, to play with his teammates, he weight up on the build up game, in addition to make powerful shot, if he can find continuity Lorenzo will turnout to be way usefull compared to the overhyped Mexican one.

It is bad if tijani sale took to long, dont get me wrong i want him to stay, it man city ffs, no need to play soft with them, tell them 100m or get lost. No 'next week' for entire summer.

Fear roma/inter/juve snatch ederson or ricci from us.
City need to buy before the Club world Cup.
Their extra mercato period is June 1st to June 10th. after that, they cannot buy until the real mercato opens July 1st, after CWC tournament.
But by June 10th, they would have already paid for Tiji, or moved on to other targets.
They lost KDB, so they need a replacement ASAP.

People need to get it out their heads that we are selling Reijnders by choice. When we have way more alternatives to making money. If he leaves, he's surely pushed for it. We could sell Mike and get Meret on free if we were desperate for cash.
Meret is about to head for Arsenal, no way he comes to Milan with no European competition to play for.

G has the the best lip service
His club is going down to Serie B and the fans want him out.
He needs a job.
What better way than to endear yourself to the greater Italian football community.

I'd be surprised if they think he's good enough to be honest.
With the fact that money should be no issue for them, I would've expected them to aim for someone better.

I remember reading Martinez from Aston Villa was their replacement for Raya.

He'd move to us, I don't doubt that.

He's free, he's a Scudetto winner (played in 35 of the 38 games this season).
Whats there to hate about that?
Arsenal will go for him for sure.
And he'll pick Arsenal over Milan because Milan have fuck all to play for next season.
If Mike stays, Meret is not getting any game time, and in a World Cup year too.
He won't come.

Who is your preference ?
Honestly, I’d love to have De Zerbi or Farioli. Oli Glasner. Fabregas. I’d legit be more excited to have Abate.
I'd actually would have liked gasperini but his track record with big teams is mixed.

I don't know who are the visionary coaches out there who meet our parameters and have performed well in big teams.
Well the issue is this, visionary coaches generally haven’t performed “well” if they’re still regarded as visionary.

Look at the criticism Italiano received here even after his Fiorentina and Bologna sides have performed admirably with relatively little resources. Yet people think of him as a mid-table coach. Guess who else was a mid-table coach? Limone “Spiazze ragazzi” Inzaghi. Now he’s a two time CL finalist.

There has to be some foresight when making these appointments. In this case I think the management did the “right” thing with Tare/Allegri. But I feel this would be the ideal time to go after a system coach. If they truly believed in the progressive qualities of Fonseca/continuation of Pioli then they’d try again. Going backwards now is an admission of failure, without any repercussions for the decision makers.

It’s pretty crazy that the same people that assembled our completely shitty squad and hired 2 Portuguese ******s to run it last year are going to be part of the year 0 rebuild, that’s probably why we are having another year 0 rebuild anyway.

I guess you just have to hope Tare and Allegri are in control.

They might as well play the Milan anthem if PSG win, that's how good it'll feel to me to see Inter lose today. If Inter wins, I'll act like calcio doesn't exist until the start of next season.

Tare and allegri are a modest improvement over previous situation where clueless morons like furry and mascot were running the show.
