because we bought 3 +30yo?

my god, you guys are such cry babys

i rather have these 3 than young 'talented' shitters like musah, thiaw, jimenez
People still have this strange idea about securing a position "for years to come"

The younger we get them, the more "learning" they will have to do here which will surprise surprise affect our results especially when they are led by shitters.

And once they get good, they will get picked off left and right.

Only one of Xhaka or Modric. Not both. They are old and slow as fuck. If i have to I'd take Xhaka because he younger and left footed need some balance on the LHS.

And neither of these players are coming for cheap wages.

3.5m a year for Modric isn't that bad

This is a lazy take. Allegri wasn't my first choice, I thought they should use this chance without European football to build a foundation for the long term but I understand the desperation

Fundamentally, Allegri is a company man. He'll do whatever he's is tasked with. I linked an article a few days ago covering how he launched so many Juve next gen players and his emphasis on developing the future of Italian football. He managed to achieve top 4 and be competitive for the Scudetto for long periods while achieving this

He's gonna play in a pragmatic manner but he won't stunt the youth

I don't have to explain the importance of figures like Modric and Xhaka, it certainly won't hurt the youth joining/already at the club
I hope you are right and I hope they are willing.

Very interested to see the actual players that arrive other than the veterans and of course how much they are used.

Counterpoint- We won the Scudetto with the 5th youngest squad in Serie A, and its all been sunshine and roses since

200 premier league appearences, 192 times starter for them. Playing in the best league.

With leverkusen 90 appearences, 86 times starter.

Arteta with big budget preferred him all the years.
Xabi Alonso loved him.

Look im not trying to say that Xhaka is the solution, but talking his a shit player is the most paradox thing haha.
Flamini also has close to 200 caps
If you wanna be happy for a fellow Albanian finding some success, go ahead
But don’t pretend that he’s good enough to play for Milan

When I see Napoli signing De Bruyne and us being linked to Xhaka and Vlahovic, I just ask myself ’’Where did it all go wrong?’’
It is insane that now Napoli is seen more attractive to players than Milan is

We are in a shit position where we are too big to have those young twinks and let them develop like Fiorentina Lazio can do. But we arent rich enough to get the higher potential 23-24 years about to enter their athletic peaks. So we have to get their older undervalued cousins like RLC as an example.

I have a feeling Camarda will have a breakout season, as well as continuing the development of Jimenez.
It's a shame they let a guy hang around who had no interest in the future or present of the club hoping 90 minutes will justify the decision. fucking idiots

I know it was just one game vs the worst team in the league but Camarda looked great vs Monza. Shame he didn't play more down the stretch

Obvious ones would be Mbappe, Haaland, Yamal etc.
Then you have guys like Gyokeres, Barcola, the other guy from PSG would be nice

In general I dont have a strong preference
I just want Milan to compete for the hottest most popular World Class mid-20s players in the world with the rest of the top clubs and not just buy Serie A trash and 3rd-rate players like Xhaka

I also wouldn’t mind signing one of Isco/Griezmann because they are marketable it would bolster our credibility
Hahahaha yeah, and I'd like to be taller, thinner, have a bigger cock and a few billion in my bank account

All of those things just as likely as us signing Mbappe, Haaland, or Yamal right now.

Pragmatism is indeed the key word here – and Allegri embodies it like few others.

What I’m trying to highlight is that Allegri isn’t the kind of coach who drills automatisms or pre-programmed positional play, passing patterns or even when to go to the toilet à la Fabregas or Pep Guardiola. He’ll build you a solid defensive unit, make the team compact and tough to break down – but once the ball moves into the final third, it’s largely up to the players. Allegri relies heavily on football IQ – he loves players who can read the game and make the right decisions on their own. Naturally, that kind of game intelligence often comes with age and experience.

That’s why, if given the choice, Allegri will always lean towards the more experienced option over the young player with the higher ceiling. That’s not youth-phobia – it’s just how he coaches. At Juve, especially in his second stint, he stumbled into a very delicate situation with his management basically being all banned at once, and as a consequence, he had to rely on youth more than he probably wanted to. It wasn’t a bold project – it was necessity.

Now at Milan, he’ll likely have much more say in shaping the squad. And yeah – everyone involved wants results fast. We haven’t officially sold a single player yet, but once Reijnders is officially gone and one or two more follow, we’ll see where the rebuild is headed. And I’m willing to bet the average age of our incoming transfers will go up compared to recent years.

This isn’t a youth project anymore. It’s a course correction. That's why we hired Allegri to begin with. That's kinda obvious, no?

It's the option for another year that concerns me. Just fuck off to Swansea or back to Zagreb. Also if he is going to be our only creator/link/probing player than we have go look for another one next year. And tbh we've needed one for a couple of seasons as it is. So there is no confidence that once Modric goes we'll get one anyway.

Uncle Festa and Don Silvio keeping the Senatores around way past their sell by date. Had put me off signing old fucks.

Tbf I've always had a Logan's Run mentality even when I use to play Championship Manager back in the 90's. What's that you approaching your 30th birthday? Put on the transfer list.

They wasted this whole year shuffling him back and forth.

Microcosm of the season - no direction, no conviction.

I will ignore ur first pajragraph because we cant afford any of those names.
Gyokeres is the flavour of the season player. He is tooo much of a risk. But with a coach like conte i can see him doing well. Are u talking about barcola now. Because when he was at marseille he was not a big name and that was 2 seasons ago.

Jus because a name is popular does not mean they are good. Was Tijjani Reijnders a popular name? Nope, and nun of us want him to go. Pepe did fuck all at arsenal and he was a popular name.

Isco is the same by as modric. A older player commimg to give mentorsjip.

We are not in the past we are currently not wat we use to be. Am sorry bout only arsenal fans talk about the past while they do win nothing. This is a process. It will take some time(may even fail. Dont trust any of them at all). But we need to start over. Stop complaiming about a team u have not even seem play yet.

Thats the reason why you suck Pavlovics cock? Because you are not in the group “most Albanians” ?

Pavlovic can leave anytime for all I care.
I was excited when he was playing well and because he’s such an unusual offensive CB, but when he started playing shit I don’t care about him anymore.
Although he is 22-23 so he has some time, but we’ll see.

I don’t care that Pavlovic is Serb if he develops into a world class CB that can play for 10 years here.
What matters to me is the quality of the character and the playing ability.
I’ve had relatives imprisoned by Serb forces in 1999. Don’t give me your bullshit. Grow the fuck up.

Well the billing for this summer seems to be young and Italian. I think that's primarily for a culture reset and low cost. You get guys who are more willing to fight for the shirt and in turn over performing whatever their cost is

I have a hard time seeing this management give players the sort of salary to entice them to join a club without CL given there is no CL money. So by default I think we'll see younger players. I applaud the strategy to get figures like Modric and Xhaka though, seems very unlike the clowns in charge

also as a side note, this club needs a culture of players willing to fight for the shirt rather than passing patters which Allegri should instill
