Can already see it.

Will try to wing it again but this time by buying short term band aid solutions hoping to get top 4. Fuck the future.

Banking on youth wasnt the issue. But you need to have management that has an actual vision and are a proper judge of talent. But not these fucks. These fuckw went and wasted a boatload of money on shitters like Musah (yay america!!!), Chuckweze, Pavlovic and Royal (still boggles my mind that one).

I mean, we had Simic who showed plenty of promise. But no lets go and splash the cash on an idiot like Pavlovic. We had Kalulu who they basically gave away to Juve for free only to turned around and buy an absolute fodder in Royal.

If they knew how to properly manage youth the likes of Kerkez wont have forced out a move. But nah, you cannot drop Theo whatsoever eh?

And whats their reward?

The same idiots get to keep their positions and do it all over again. Tare will make fuck all difference (heck, the lolworthy part is he wasnt even the second or third choice even).

To top it all off, we got a coach who plays football from the dinosaur era. Brilliant.

How is that in any way relevant? He was good enough to be starter for Zidane’s 3peat team
Xhaka is not even good enough to play for Atletico let alone Real

Your comparison makes no sense
This is like saying Pirlo was the worst player in the starting 11 of 2005 Milan
He was, but it’s an irrelevant point to make
Isco has been publicly critical of coaches in the past, had teammates say he needs to work harder, and had Sevilla tell him to fuck off after 6 months because he was lazy and not coming close to living up to his contract, and which point he managed to faceplant when trying to sign with the mighty Union Berlin, and then couldn't get an MLS offer so he sat unemployed for 6 months

So you think its a better example for the younger players is to get a guy that Sevilla thought was such a disaster that they revoked his contract than a guy that led his Bundesliga team to the first non Bayern title in over a decade

Yes, we cannot compete against big spenders from the top 5 leagues, but we could have progressively come close if our management had some common sense.

All they had to do was upgrade Pioli last season while we were in CL, hire a proper SD- we were much attractive then, but no, they lacked vision and went for a short-term cheap fix in Fonseca and 0 SD and ended up paying more in the long run.

Milan is not a place for internship for those idiots for their trial and error. We had a decent squad last season but no SD and subpar coaches. I am afraid it will be the other way round this time.

I am trying to be optimistic but it is very difficult because of those toxic buffoons who are in charge - I hope to be proven wrong for the sake of the club.

No, the error was precisely to think that the team was better than what Pioli got out of them. Conceicao and Fonseca are still better coaches than what Inter will likely have next season, and Tudor is no world-beater either. Painting them as the worst is repeating that mistake in a different way.

Well the billing for this summer seems to be young and Italian. I think that's primarily for a culture reset and low cost. You get guys who are more willing to fight for the shirt and in turn over performing whatever their cost is

I have a hard time seeing this management give players the sort of salary to entice them to join a club without CL given there is no CL money. So by default I think we'll see younger players. I applaud the strategy to get figures like Modric and Xhaka though, seems very unlike the clowns in charge

also as a side note, this club needs a culture of players willing to fight for the shirt rather than passing patters which Allegri should instill

Yeah, we’ll see. I’m definitely not against bringing in some young Italians – far from it. But the reports about us cooling on Ricci and then suddenly Xhaka popping up might suggest that Allegri is already reshaping the strategy a bit. There will be a mix, no doubt, but I genuinely believe our final squad will end up significantly older and more experienced than what we’ve seen in recent seasons.

And it’s not even said that this strategy would cost us more. Young players are often overpriced for their potential – while older ones might come at a discount because, well, their prime is behind them. Sure, I'm conveniently leaving out salaries, but in the end I believe it evens if you do it right.

Take Modric at 3.5M a year. Or Xhaka – who I doubt would cost more than 15–20M and doesn't have a huge salary. Or Rabiot, who has a big salary, true, but who’s reportedly got a very low 10M release clause. That’s three serious players right there – experienced, reliable, low drama. You can build a no-nonsense spine with that. Then you sprinkle in youth with hunger and fight – maybe Ricci still happens, or Rovella, Leoni, Cambiaso, Dodo… that kind of profile.

But if the plan is to put the young Italians at the centre of it all – rather than have them grow alongside a solid core – then I honestly doubt Allegri is the right coach. That kind of project needs a builder. Gasperini for example. Or Fabregas. De Zerbi. Allegri is a stabiliser. A war general, not a youth academy director.

Imagine a 3-man-midfield with Rabiot, Xhaka and Fofana. No glam, no flair – but grit, structure and control. That trio won’t play the prettiest football you’ve ever seen, but they’ll drag your team through the mud and still keep it standing. Rabiot the balancer, Xhaka the general, Fofana the engine – together they cover space, dictate tempo and fight like hell. It’s not sexy. But it’s the kind of midfield you win ugly games with. Allegri ball at its finest. Modric, meanwhile, gives you the luxury of a tactical switch – someone to rotate in or bring off the bench when you need to slow the game down, take control or unlock a deep defensive block with pure class.

I can totally see that happening TBH. Especially with Allegri. I believe this is a bit what we're going for. But hey I might be completely wrong eventually.

The team was ok for a top 4-5 but simply was lacking balance. We had a hole in the midfield in Pioli’s last season and his style then, and that of Fonseca did not suit the players we had. Conceicao tried to fix it with 3-4-3 eventually which showed some potential.

Anyway let’s see how this upcoming season goes, it will tell us whether the management is able to improve things holistically - they have to be more proactive and less reactive.

News are that orinter players arent happy about chivu taking bench
Would you be?
Downgrading from a Scudetto winning and UCL Finalist Coach to someone who's best professional achievement as a coach was keeping Parma in Serie A?

We all stressed last year when Pioli Left that the Coach was important. Players know that too.

Ooh

They got an SD that was last on their list and crawed back to after getting rejected by all their top targets

And a coach that plays dinosaur football and as the butt of jokes (especially in this forum for folks with short term memories) in his last job.

Ye, they really showed us.

So we're back to banter era huh?
Good at least there will be less fanboys and groupies while we argue about differing shades of fodder :proud:
According to majority of people in here Theo, MM & Leao are trash so good days ahead now that we are trying to sell.

Nah, not banter era.
Banter era with money. :taphead:
Now instead of shitting on management because we can't afford to bring in good players, we get to shit on management for being able to afford good ones, but bringing in bad ones.

They are not the same.

Yes, let's send our best fullback to Futuro, so we can pay his full salary, while we finish top 15 like our idols ManU.
You know Theo has a choice to not get Gulaged. He just needs to get the fuck outta the club. He gets paid. Milan gets paid. We move on to a better fit of a LB tactically. Everybody happy.
