I'm 100% convinced that we renewed Reijnders with a handshake agreement that if a reasonable offer arrives to go to a club like City or Real that we will accept it. 70-75m is a reasonable offer. Not an crazy offer we can't reject (like we're demanding for Leao) but an offer that's okay for us, but we promised Reijnders that we wouldn't stand in his way if such an offer arrives.

Seems very obvious to me that's what happened.
Plus the Tiji deal was agreed before Tare showed up. He's now playing hard ball on sales, which we've failed to do since forever.

75% of CWC revenue is with TV deal of 1.5B

Prize money will total 1B

ticket sales will still bring 100 to 200M

FIFA will still make money and will push to do this again

Jup, the tournament is definitely aimed to attract new markets and TV viewers. It's not a tournament meant to be for Europeans. But seeing how little even the local interest is, I wonder if the TV viewership will be high enough to justify the price for TV rights. No one wanted to pay what FIFA asked for, in the end PIF bought 10% of DAZN for 1.1B, one week after DAZN, out of the blue, bought the TV rights for the CWC for 1B. What a coincidence, innit?

FIFA got bailed out by PIF who used DAZN to pay 1B to FIFA, camouflaging it as buying price for the TV rights. I'm not sure about the other Billion they projected to obtain through sponsorship and ticket sales tho. But yeah it's very obvious that no one really wants that tournament, the interest is very low. I wouldn't be surprised if this will be the only CWC in that new format ever, because the only reason clubs play along is the money, and I guess they won't have PIF bailing them out every 4 years. Or maybe they will until 2034. We'll see.
There was a report they'll likely expand it for next time since they're missing a lot of top clubs. I don't know where the next one will be, but no one in the US cares to see any of the clubs that aren't from Europe.

I actually looked back into this after @vB9 pointed it out a while back, and after Glazer took over in 2005 Man Utd spent very little on transfers
The only big transfer was Robin van Persie and maybe Berbatov

Like look at their transfers in 2009/10 when they sold CR7, they are fucking pathetic
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009–10_Manchester_United_F.C._season#In

And if you think they saved that money for next season's transfer market, think again
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010–11_Manchester_United_F.C._season#In
I remember reading many interviews where fagson said his demands were met. Clearly I am wrong if a scholar like you think otherwise.

So you're saying he took the Kaka route.

Because it's a ******ed question.
I want good players not wannabe leaders.
Nobody is gonna look up to fucking Xhaka at Milan.
Modric yes but Xhaka is a nobody.

Yeah we all want good players. D'uh. Who are the good players you think we should be after instead of Xhaka and Jashari and who aren't fantasy names like Haaland or Yamal?

No, quite the opposite, there are quite a few Shqips(especially ones from Diaspora, I suspect Alo88 may be a diaspora Albo) who have been low-key shilling the Albanian players we have been linked to
I'm the only one who is actively shitting on any links to Albanian players tbh

Not really, no. My mom and her entire family is Dutch, my dad a wild mix between Swiss, Italian and French. So I guess that makes me a bit of a mix of all the best parts of Europe

Has anyone seen him play?
If we buy an Albanian youngster for 2 million for Futuro then sure go ahead.
But 35 million on some unproven 23 year old who only has 2 caps for Switzerland for a starting position? Way out of line.
This is Milan not Lazio ffs. I will be mad if we spend a lot of money on a non-WC player. I was mad about Gimenez signing turning out a flop and I will be extra mad if we sign an expensive Albanian flop, because it would prove that Tare is a nepotist.
What does the fact that he is Albanian has to do with it?

Did you say anything about Tiji, Musa ect?

S'kam pa najher njeri me urry racen e vet qr shko pi naj kafe ma mir qetsohu.

I agree he is expensive and unproven but there is interest from many teams ect.
Personally I'm not sure about him as well and it seems too much, however you are just being full self hate incel mode relax brother.

Former goalkeeper Simone Braglia spoke to TMW Radio during the show Maracanà:

"Milan are moving in ways they simply didn’t in the past two years. There are clearly defined roles now – just look at Allegri and Tare – and that’s the kind of structure that can lead to a Scudetto. They’re building a serious technical staff.

I believe Maignan will stay. And the fact they brought in Filippi as goalkeeper coach – one of the best around – gives me even more confidence.

As for Allegri, he was a lonely figure at Juve in the end. Now he’ll have Tare by his side – a true football man – and that makes me feel optimistic. Some players will leave, sure, but I remain positive. Nobody believed in Conte’s Napoli last season and look how that turned out. I think Milan and Roma will both bounce back next year."

From MN:

Ardon Jashari is a concrete target for Milan. A Swiss international with Macedonian roots, the defensive midfielder could be a classic "Tare-style" signing – if it weren’t for the fact that Club Brugge, who own his rights, are already asking for top-club-level money. To get to know him better, MilanNews.it spoke with Belgian football expert and former Red Devils international Walter Baseggio. Here’s what he had to say.

Walter Baseggio, what kind of player is Ardon Jashari?
"I saw him play in the Belgian Cup final against Anderlecht and he had a really good game. He reads passing lanes well, has a good left foot, and is versatile. He can play both as a defender and a midfielder."

What are your doubts about him?
"If he's used as a defender, he’s not very tall and can struggle against physically imposing forwards – particularly in one-on-one situations and aerial duels. That’s why I believe he’s best deployed as a midfielder."

He’s reportedly valued at €35 million.
"If Brugge really manage to sell him for €35 million, it’s a jackpot for them – considering they signed him for just €6 million a year ago. Right now, he’s not worth that kind of money, but he certainly has potential. He’s got quality, he’s played in the Champions League, and earned a call-up to the Swiss national team. It’s no surprise other clubs are interested in him."

The previous Brugge signing – De Ketelaere – didn’t exactly work out for Milan.
"When Milan signed De Ketelaere, I said right away they needed to give him time to adapt. Maybe it would’ve been better to loan him out and bring him back a year later. Milan rushed it – and they overpaid at that moment."

CDK clearly lacked personality. What about Jashari?
"Jashari doesn't lack personality. He’s grown defensively playing alongside Mechele and knows how to lead a backline. He’s got character, football IQ, and quality. But Milan – and Serie A in general – operate at a higher level. So if you’re going to spend that kind of money, you better be sure."

Would a stepping stone help Jashari?
"Jumping from Brugge to Milan isn’t easy to handle. But I understand that if you’re paying €35 million, it’s hard to justify loaning him out."

Is there a player you’d compare him to?
"As a defender in a back three, because of his ability to carry the ball and his passing, you could compare some of his traits to Bonucci – though Bonucci is taller and more physical. That’s why I think Jashari should play as a deep-lying midfielder, a regista."

Brugge also have another Milan target: Maxim De Cuyper.
"I really like him – I’ve watched him often, and he continues to improve. This season he made another leap in quality. He’s also been doing well with the Belgian national team. Strong left foot, solid defensively, and he loves providing assists. He has real quality and, in my view, is more ready than Jashari to make the big jump. De Cuyper has been playing at a high level in Belgium for 2–3 years now, so I think he’s ready. And in one or two years, he’ll be even better."

He's what we went for after the Renato Sanches and Botman deals fell through.
Paolo was trying to fix our Midfield and Defense.
No idea why it then transitioned to investing in the attack, where the DF and Mid went to temporary spots like Vrankx and Dest.
At least Thiaw worked out for a year or two.
That was so weird.
We were gunning for a needed position & i expected that we go for the same profile.
Similar when we were going after an attacker & then we signed Bonnuci :fp:

Because Tare is giving us a bad name with his nepotism. It was already embarrassing when he spent big on Muriqi for Lazio. If he pulls that shit at Milan it will be 1000 times more embarrassing.
Where is the nepotism with Tijjani tell me? Did we have a Dutch SD when we bought him?
Also Tij was more accomplished at the time and he was from Dutch league which will cost more than Belgian league generally.
If you read the thread you can see that I also criticized Gimenez for recommending us that Mexican fodder defender from Genoa.
And I also have criticized Moncada's obssesion with French league players for years but I wasn't in this forum back then.

There's great interest for him? This is the first time I heard of his name.
We are not Man City to spend 30M on uproven players from Belgian league.

I think you are the one who should calm down and drink a cup of coffee.
I don't like coffee btw.

Gazidis is a professional. He doesn't wash dirty linen afterwards.

Probably the best CEO we've ever had n we've had a lot of grumbling about him n so on. I believe he’d still be here had it not been for his cancer. Under him, you‘d feel how the club was constantly developing at all levels.
Naah he checked out as soon as the sale confirmed at scudetto he got his 10plus million. He didn’t babysit for 6 months just collected checks till he said later bitches.

Meanwhile in milanello 32 page art of cl was being written along with extension for pioli and bin naseer while we were getting fucked by everybody
