I would love Calafiori on loan for one season so if he stays healthy would be a great upgrade, if injured we lose nothing. An Italian starting CB duo of Gabbia/Caladiori wouldn't be bad, two players that offer different skillsets, one that stays back more and the other more daring moving up the pitch.

At Bologna Cala impressed with his speed and also his passing ability for a defender which is something we need to improve on everywhere on the pitch, not just midfield.

Atalanta can sell mid-tier players like this at a profit because they make them look better than they are with their system and because they are a small club.

Think about Florian Wirtz of Leverkusen. Leverkusen is a small club so they were able to sell him for 150m, if that were Milan no club would ever pay us 150m because of our big club reputation.

We can talk shit all we want in here....but the market and money talks....and apparently, it's pretty much told us Milan doesn't have 100m players. Leao maybe was last summer, but that ship has sailed, as has the 60-70m ship for Theo and the 50m ship for Mike.
1 season is eternity in football and a lot can change. Unfortunately, even if our players kill it in Seria A this coming season, without the CL to replicate those performances against other top clubs...it is unlikely that their value will skyrocket anyway.
